Former MMD National Secretary Katele Kalumba says emotions should not take centre stage in finding an amicable solution on the Barotseland agreement of 1964.

Dr. Kalumba has stated that history has molded the Barotseland and the rest of Zambia into one country and that session should not be an option.

He states that the challenges faced in western province are visible and that it is important that stakeholders look into that.

Dr Kalumba says such challenges can be resolved through a budget formula that accommodates some of the developmental challenges faced in western province.

  1. Welcome to Zambia, where convicts freely address the media and swipe at innocent citizens. Cheers Z

  2. Katele no one can trust you….better zip up your mouth,,,,,zambia twasebana….anyway  am happy with my italian galfriend..

  3. Katele you were in government during Chiluba’s time. Were you not aware of the existence of agreement? That is what happens when you spent most of you time stealing like monkeys in the maize field. Or I forgot that MMD were monkeys in the maize field. No wonder they real monkey got annoyed and urinated on your boss.

    • Your analysis is spot on. People suffer from some brain disease here, I think.

  4. What counsel can come from this man? No wonder we have problems in this nation. How can a man of his history of hinding from the law be the one to give direction to the nation. This country some day…..

  5. Dr Katele, please don’t worry about whether you need to divorce Lumba and how to share your children. If you are a son-in-law in good standing,i.e. you have finished paying your lobola, then your Lozi wife and your offspring are yours to keep. They are Zambian or whatever new name Zambia will take from now onwards. As the Barotse are patrilineal, your offspring belong to you; they are not Barotse. Just remember to bring your passport next time you want to see your makwenyani in Barotseland as there will be immigration limits on free travel into Barotseland for convicts and witches, even educated ones. Muloi tuwe, u maswe!!

  6. The sub-chief is right, whatever his background. Do you prefer name-calling? And maybe a bit of bloodshed? Morons.

    • Who is talking about bloodshed? Fighting for what?! You Hutu just get a life and chill.

  7. What really makes Katele think he is a vessel of wisdom? This man is always commenting on anything, my gosh!!!! This is the same man who wants an apololgy from the MMD when he is one of the people that tainted the party’s image with his corruption. To the discerning, Katele’s pattern of behaviour is now predictable; lick the as” that is in power.

  8. This is simple, what we need is federal system, whether we like it or not. Each province with its own Prime Minister to address local needs, the Zambian presidency should be chosen from the legistlatives heads of provinces and it should be rotational, that is from one provinve to another. and it will be be still ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION.

  9. Katele you’re a Doctor but you don’t perceive the source of Barotse people ‘s need to total independence
