Faz League Resumes Saturday

Share

Faz has announced that league games will resume this weekend.

The games were halted due to the ongoing national mourning declared in honour of former First Lady Mama Betty Kaunda who died in Zimbabwe last week.

In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, Faz stated that when the national mourning period ends this Friday, all teams will be in action and that there shall be no more postponement of any league games.

“The Football Association of Zambia wishes to announce that Premier League games, from the MTN Super League through to the Division Three leagues countrywide will resume this weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September 2012.”

“At the end of the national mourning period, all teams will be in action and there shall be no postponement of any league games owing to the lack of calendar dates to allow for any deferment.”

Super Division teams are expected to play week 25 games while teams in both Division One North and South will play week 29 fixtures.

  1. These are unforeseen circumstances and there are acts of God too. How can u say there will be no more postponements?????????? Crap!!!!!!!

    • I agree with you mwana wesu. The problem with us human beings is that we always want to outthink God the father. Who knew Dr Kaunda who break down like he did. In time of mourning, lets take to God in prayer for we have no control of our destiny.
