She stated that Zambia has real potential in agriculture and food production as the country is endowed with plenty water bodies.

Princess Anne also noted that foreign investors are encouraged by Zambia’s stability and hoped that more will be encouraged to invest in the country.

She said Zambia has the potential for the future and she is hopeful that the country’s economy will continue to grow from strength to strength.

The Princess also commended Parliamentarians for passing two legal frameworks for combating corruption.

  1. Dont say potential…we have the capacity to excel and be the best in africa….just wait and see how MMD will tear **** on your speech..

  2. Take note “POTENTIAL”. By this She meant as at now, NOTHING is happening.
Good leaders are there but you’re going for your own things. Choose good leaders like HH THEN YOU WILL DEVELOP ONE DAY! HH20I6

  3. she is right. we have the potential to do well but we dont have right people in leadership to realise that potential. the current government has no plan or competent manpoer in place to develop potential areas. only corrupt individuals like GBM.viva HH

  4. @ 5 Spyglass, which hh and where did you see that he is a good leader coz he has never even been a parliamentarian. he is a useless failed politician.

  5. We already know that……Does it take someone to come all the way from UK to remind us on that?We will excel….its just wrong pipo who have been running tax payers resources who plundered our economy.Otherwise,we kno that we have plenty water, plenty fertile land etc.

  6. Yes we have the potential especially if Princes and her mother the Queen can return some of their wealth they stole from Africa. They think we have forgotten, what has she come for this time around? Uranium? colonialist.

  7. We have the potential, but fail to institute policies that will translate into maximum benefit from our national resources. Posterity will never forgive us. While so called “foreign investor” is laughing all the way to the bank, our rank and file continue to wallow in abject poverty because the leadership has failed them. The government is happy with the crumbs from the table and must apologise even for taking the crumbs!!

  8. #2 TRUTH HATES — how dull are you PF supporters????? Sometimes you really shock me! Can you compare Sata’s useless worthless speech to Princess Anne’s speech?? You need a brain transplant. Infact Princess Anne meant to say that Zambia has so much potential – if only Sata was not the President!!! If you are too dull to get that subliminal message from the Princess’ speech, then that is not my problem. But like your blogging-name suggests, THE TRUTH HATES, you are right!

  9. You should also address the KUTA where we have capable leadership as we prepare to unleash unprecededent development in southern Afirca come 2016.viav Barosteland.

  10. what potential creating a lot of districts and reducing cabinet by one post then creating one
additional province. is there an saving? PLEASE people wake up VIVA Mr HH

  11. Princess Anne
A representative of ruminiants of the capitalism ideology, oh, attempting to oversee the interests of the international dynamics in Zambia. The question is, has she compiled a report which will not bias the PF regime? The paymasters are worried about their shares/interests in core sectors such as mining hence they had to send a high level individual so as to further cement ties with the care-takers (PF regime). If the care-takers (PF) prove to be unprofitable there are easily replaced as and when the ruminants of capitalism see it fit. Under instructions from her paymasters, she has identified a core opportunity(agriculture) for the further exploitation of surplus labour in Zambia. PF will as usual receive directives as to how the masses should be exploitated.Viva UNPD, HH.

  12. Speech has touched all.
    That is what a speech is supposed to address;
Farmers – the issue on agriculture
Food – Area that affects everybody everyday
Foreign investment – Sadly dual citizenship issue has frustrated investment by Diasporans
Football – True! When you talk Zambia, you now talk KK and the Zambia “African Champions” National Team.
Now that word “POTENTIAL”, means diplomatically that we have failed in some key sectors, despite our treasured freedom, democracy, stability, natural resources and acknowledged educated Zambians.
Her question reading between the lines for me is that, “If the football team could achieve such success, why have you failed in the other areas that develop a nation?”

  13. PRINCESS YES we know we can do BETTER BUT we are dogged by NEPOTISM,TRIBALISM,ILLITERACY,GREEDINESS and the LIST is ENDLESS. TAKE FOR EXAMPLE WHILST YOU STILL IN ZAMBIA TAKE JUST LISTEN TO ONE OR TWO MAJOR PLAYERS IN PF GOVT, MP’S AND ITS CADRES YOU WILL SEE WHY WE CANT DO BETTER. ITS TIME WE RETIRED THESE USELESS GOOD FOR NOTHING POLITICIAN WITH ONLY ONE AREA OF SPECIALIZATION STEALING FROM THE POOR,VOICELESS AND THE DUMB CADRES WHO CANT SEE WHEN THERE BEEN ROBBED DAY LIGHT.

  14. @14, so ninshi ebu concerned citizen ubo bwine?? Mwandi Princess,we know that,we shall excel. Also be reminded that Sata & Mugabe are taking over Africa soon.

  15. Of course they do princess, but you are talking about Africans!

A white man went in their backyard and found people in Livingstone and other areas, and they (Africans) now credit him with ‘discovering’ Livingstone’
How do you discover a place when people were there?

As someone says it is not about having natural resources, because once you do not know what to do with them, it is the same as not having them!

We all know Zambian can do better, but it is full of ignorant self centered people who think they are clever and don’t need help when contrary is the truth.

Bottom line? Let a white-man rule, he shall no be as corrupt as ANY regime because by default a an African man is an angry, desperate not to be trusted in a higher position
    Truth hurts!

    Thanks

  16. I am proud of our commowealth/British heritage. There is a lot we can inherit from the British heritage. Rule of law, civility, independent minded yet tolerable, never say die attitude, the culture of reading, flexible hence ablity to maintain monarch whilst most eurpean monarchs ha ve been decimated. I dont buy the capitalist/colonialist blame game we gained indendence approx 50 years ago same time as countries like S. korea, Malaysia, indonesia. We should blame political violence, corruption, culture of drunkness/tujilijili/shake shake, tolerace of filth surroundings and incompetence, greed, tribalism etc. Hats off to Queen Elizabeth II and the British commonwealth

  17. Very diplomatic indeed! For those of you who do not understand the english, what she really means is ‘you are not doing well’ and dont seem to have good plans to do well.

  18. Of course we know that much of our problems in Zambia have to do with incompetence in the higher office. We need smart leadership with a vision.

  19. There must be something good in Zed. These chaps dont just travel anyhow. Plus there own is our no. 2 in power. thanks to MCS.

  20. Zambia’s potential has been apparent to all visitirs and passers by. David Livingstone and every recorded whiteman has used the same words. It is now an insult to us! It will require a sufficient number of people to be real angry to turn this so called potential into tangible benefits for the country. For now, well ……..

  21. The princes was just vising Africa to enjoy the weather, the British don’t care whether you have potential or not.  Am sure she is now in visiting Victoria falls don’t be fooled Zambians by her speech

  22. It’s plainly clear our beautiful land is blessed with wealth. But it’s cursed with mediocre leadership, that somehow, against all odds, has managed to drive the country into poverty.

  23. Princess Ann wacha kudanganya.Zambia has no potential because people are lazy, corrrupt, very tribal and irresponsible.Look at them-they couldn’t run the mines, couldn’t run zambia airways, drove zamtel to the dogs and their cities are teeming with garbage and unplanned street vending.Even keeping their own homesteds clean is a challenge as they fester with filth, fetid toilets and ponds of water that breed malaria.Wazambia ni bure kabisa and beyond salvage.

  24. THIS WAS A SHORT BUT NICE SPEECH FROM PRINCESS ANNE. PLEASE, COME BACK IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS. YOU GONNA FIND A LOT OF POSITIVE CHANGES. WITH SATA AND TEAM IN THE SADDLE THINGS ARE GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

  25. Mzambia wa Zamani wewe ni bure kabisa na ni babaifu. How can you pass such a silly comment on Zambians? After all Tanzania is very dity. Go to hell

  26. Nipa bwato fwe come 2016………..u ll all be marvelled with the great developments that will be there……………SATA go go go Forward.

A Man of Unity and who does not keep grudges…..thet Man of the moment……and his speech was so powerful full of love, unity and great insights. Ba SATA nizeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. Who cares about her talk show, people will not benefit from her talk shows. Gone are the days when Africans used to whorship a white person except a few remotely controlled purpets on the continent who are answerable to their paymasters instead of attending to the masses who are central to just causes. Viva comrade HH, viva UNPD. The PF regime finds itself in the above situation whereby it has been compromised and its direction is unturnable until the masses votes it out of office. Viva HH, viva UNPD.

  28. She knows Mayuka..interesting point that she mentioned about the English premier league…She is also spot on, on the potential Zambia has.

  29. Iwe mfumu@ 32 i still stand by my statement.Of course Tz is dirty and so is Zim,Nigeria,Ghana and so many others. If you can’t handle the bitter truth then you ain’t going anywhere in life.Mine is a challenge to zambians to expect more of themselves and they can’t do that if folks like you cozzy up to them hiding unpleasant shortcomings that they need to overcome. Its you who is bure kabisa for burying your head in the sand rather than face ugly realities and zed wud be better without you.

  30. Mzambia Wazamani you are a wrong chap. Be objective in your arguments. Its not just a question of passing comments without any analysis. U are really wazamani. Kwakweri ni bure kabisaaaaaaa!

  31. Zambians are CNP’s. If we were serious we would not be feeling ourselves because some white woman said we have potential. We have no pride as a people. Excited by this parasite’s words. What has the royal family done for you lately? Shame. What about we get off our arses and make this country a place to be proud of not the overrated big shanty it is now. And Who gave Anne a Visa? The Brits treat us with contempt when we apply for the same, I have no kind sentiments and our ‘unique’ relationship is unique in that it is so one sided.
