Injury has sidelined Zesco United goalkeeper and team captain Jacob Banda for eight weeks.
Banda sustained an ankle injury in training on Wednesday morning.
The ex-Zambia Under-20 keeper confirmed that he will be out of action for eight weeks on Wednesday afternoon.
“I twisted my ankle this morning during training and I am out for eight weeks,” Banda revealed on his facebookpage.
“My God your name be blessed in good and bad times.”
Banda’s understudy Brown Nyirenda is set to take up his role as Zesco face Kabwe Warriors in the FAZ Super Division Week One match away at Godfrey “Ucar” Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe this Saturday.
