“Lifting of RB’s immunity is shameful and retrogressive” – Nevers Mumba

Opposition Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) president Nevers Mumba has described as shameful and retrogressive the move by the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) to have former republican President Rupiah Banda’s immunity removed.

Dr. Mumba said that the removal of Mr. Banda’s immunity has been done in disregard of the nation’s viewpoint as people in the country did not ask for such an action to take place.

Dr. Mumba has told Qfm in an interview that the removal of the immunity of the former president is only political retribution and not the fight against corruption.

He observed that it is cheap politics for the ruling PF to pass a motion of removal of immunity of the former head of state when Members of Parliament from the opposition had left the House in protest against such a motion.

Meanwhile, Chief Government Spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni has said that International Lawyer Robert Amsterdam is welcome to enter Zambia to defend his client the former president Rupiah Banda in court only if he meets the country’s immigration qualifications.

This follows Mr. Amsterdam’s affirmation on Friday that he will be ready to defend the former republic president in Zambian courts for any corruption allegations leveled against Mr. Banda if the Zambian government will be courageous enough to allow him enter the country.

Mr. Sakeni has told Qfm in an interview that if Mr. Amsterdam is to operate in Zambia as a lawyer, he also needs to be registered to practice in the country.

    • No one is above the law.If RB is innocent then he has no reason to worry. It might be embarrassing for now, but if he is found innocent he will not only have the last laugh, but will also walk with his head more higher than it has ever been

    • Sakeni and his PF are scared of Amsterdam to their bones, they put conditions that he can’t go through drunken Edgar Lungu’s immigration, and then another short wall Kabimba to allow Amsterdam to practice as a Lawyer.
Then we take case outside of country…

    • No Sakeni is not scared of the so called “international lawyer”. To practice law in any country, you must be registered as a lawyer in that country. Since when was the so called international lawyer admitted to the bar in Zambia. Amsterdan is free to come to Zambia, but if he is coming to offer legal advice, for which he will be paid then the laws of Zambia, I am sure state that, he will need to obtain a temporary work permit. If the international lawyer does not know that then he must be avery dull lawyer.

    • Jay Kay says:

“If the international lawyer does not know that then he is a very dull lawyer.”

How can you make such a statement when the lawyer in reference has not even uttered a word to indicate intent? What makes you think yo know better than he does? Fwe bena Zambia icimpwena! You know sometimes we need to just read and let be.

    • Let us not display ignorance here! Even Sakeni does not fully understand these things. Robert Amsterdam has practiced in several countries and does not do any complicated registration just as Judge Chikopa has been called in to practice as a judge. Elias Chipimo as a lawyer has done work in several countries including South Africa without a practising license. These matters can be done properly without politicising something which is just a legal case and not a political one. We could limit Robert Amsterdam’s representation/advice to RB but we should refer to the laws of Zambia not our fears. Give RB a fair trial and let him pay for his deeds if he has to. Otherwise, we end up looking like a kangaroo court. Sakeni did not need to comment until Amsterdam made approaches.

    • @Nostradamus no one is scared of that lawyer its just certain procedures must be followed, even our lawyers can not go to the states and represent a client there…let’s be real

    • Has Judge Chikopo from Malawi registered to practice in Zambia as a lawyer/judge??????

Zambians, think! Ubupuba bwa pitilila! For how long shall you be fooled by Fred Mmembe!? Root out hatred from your lives!

  1. You Sir just keep zee please, do you want people to start insulting you again? Whats your opnion his dealings are you speaking as a pastor or a politician? i cant see which angle to hit from cos i dont know which character you are now. My advice, lay low.

    • Gibson, all good, it would just be a good idea for him to stay out of the media for a while, that’s just my advice to him. Nomatter how good your point is, when you’ve been labelled so much, it pays to keep out of touch.

    • Great thing he never see’s your comments Sana, you are wasting your breath, and I can see that you really dont understand what is going on, this act is extremely retrogressive, and how does a corrupt party such as PF charge RB? They are corrupt too!! awe mwe! Are you aware that this will just cost the State money that could be used to better Zambia, instead you want to take a man to court(a court case that you might lose- like FTJ’s). Zambia needs to move forward deal with the bigger issues, please! And we wonder why Zambia doesn’t move forward, backward thinking!! Mumba, HH please speak your minds we need voices of reason.

    • Sweetie you are entitled to voice your opnion just as much as iam, i know exactly what am talking about, i know that most leaders, people with a little power get so corrupt so much that if you dont do anything about it, they set a trend that will cost the nation even much more than you are afraid of, i said it a few weeks ago, if you pull the plug now, imagine in a century how much billions you could have served? So baba you are the one who has no idea what seem to be going on here, you thinking short term, iam thinking long term, so please dont just support anyhow and by the way, am neither pf nor politician, but an upright concerned Zambian.

    • @Sana, awe ifyo ule tontonkanya tafi kwete amaano. Go in solitude for an hour and reflect on the things happening in country since Sep 2011. Judge from a sober mind then come back and comment. You will see what we are seeing.

What has RB stollen when Fred Mmembe and Mutembo Nchito have gone quiet over the K14Billion they owe our tax payers’ coffers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

Have an open mind please, dont just follow the wind

  2. They are scared ba Pastor Mumba. Civil war is about to breakout in PF. They will be a bloody fight for succession! PF ya sila! The removal of immunity is just a cheap diversion the big fight is about to break out! Pastor just start organizing yourselves for elections! It is high time we had Adults back in Government again! Nafuti Nafuti!

    • This Wendy chap really wishes Sata ill,God will punish those who curse His own…why are u obsessed with death.? Who told u Sata is dying.? Get some life…eish

    • Wendy Love, there is a saying in my language which, when roughly translated into English is: “The unripe fruit sometimes falls from the tree while the ripe fruit remains attached to the tree!”. The Bible also says he who digs a hole for another will fall in it himself.
Take care, my friend. You might just find yourself six feet under much earlier than those you are wishing death! You may not like President Sata, but that is no reason for you to wish him dead, unless, of course you have unsavoury matters that you fear might be discovered through his agency! After all, there are many people who are convinced he is doing well for the country, and they are praying for him!

    • Wendy u dont know what u are talking about! You are senseless and unpatriotic!RB stole and Nevers knows that he isthe next person to be taken to court for the money he stole in Canada. This is why Nevers is supporting RB,mwenso!Time hascome for these wolves in sheep’sskin to be punished!!

    • @Big L, You’re the one who is obsessed with death! There is absolutely no reference to anyone dying in the above statement. You must have very serious issues preoccupying your mind. As a fellow human being I do indeed feel for you!

  3. no mention of government accounts like zamtrop ,or financial institutions like access financial services, only loans and cash purchases ? this already sounds like a very weak case meant to divert the nation’s attention from real issues !

  4. No one is above the law.If RB is innocent then he has no reason to worry. It might be embarrassing for now, but if he is found innocent he will not only have the last laugh, but will also walk with his head more higher than it has ever been.

  5. Mr. Sakeni. is chikopa registered in Zambia. i thot commonwealth lawyers would operate in commonwealth kontries freely

    • Ba ZP, Judge Chikopa was invited to come and chair a commission of inquiry, and not to practice law in Zambia. Any one with the right attributes – not necessarily a lawyer – could chair that commission of inquiry, I believe.
      So, there is a difference!

    • But you CANNOT practice in UK though you are a commonwealth country lawyer. Unless, of course, you have the right of audience to do so.

  6. FTJ’s allegations were a dossier but still didn’t secure a conviction ! Kabimba’s allegation’s sound more like hearsay ,if people were generous to RB does that constitute a crime.many leaders in the world receive gifts and donations but are never prosecuted for that besides, the man who passed the motion to lift the immunity is also being investigated for similar things ?

just a waste of time and resources !

    • Hahaha did u really get the reasons which they want Rupiah to help with or u chose not read throughly, oil deals which never materialised isn’t that enough.? Stealing is stealing big or small

    • @Mungoma , No there’s no requirement for the declaration of gifts. Neither is there a law regulating campaign donations either from Zambians or foreigners. These are the issues the PF was supposed to address if they really were serious about change. But they cannot change these things because they are the ones profitting from them as a sitting government. This is the vicious cycle in which Zambia is trapped! Only an honest leader in state house committed to real governance and institutional reforms is going to change the status quo.

  7. Ba Chimbwe no plan in charge we are in trouble.I hope PF will go well with the Zambian people.Sata should have worked on building the economy instead of fighting the opposition. After 3 years when we look back on PF performance I guess we still be talking about RB court case.Too bad for the country.

  8. Doc where were you when RB was being stripped naked. You promised like Peter in theBible that you will do your best to ensure his immunity stays.

    • 1. He must be registered to practice law in our beautiful country.
      2. He must apologize to Zambians for insulting us, else he might find himself fighting more than legal battles!

  9. WHEN PARLIAMENT REMOVED RB’S IMMUNITY THIS WEEK, I ALSO FELT THE SAME WAY LIKE THE PASTOR WHEN CHILUBA’S WAS REMOVED BY HIS OWN PARTY UNTIL LAYER. CHILUBA WAS BOTH MY TRIBESMAN AND VILLAGE MATE. WHEN MWANAWASA DRAGGED HIM BEFORE COURTS I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO LABEL LEVY AS GROSSLY UNFAIR TO THE MAN WHO MADE HIM WHAT HE LATER BECAME, THE THIRD PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA. BUT THEN EVIDENCE OF CHILUBA’S PURCHASE OF FLATS IN LUSAKA STARTED COMING THROUGH. I COULD NOT JUST BELIEVE THAT A PRESIDENT COULD ENGAGE IN REAL ESTATE BUSINESS – RENTING OUT FLATS AND OFFICE SPACE! A PRESIDENT! I WITHDREW THE LITTLE SYMPATHY I HAD FOR CHILUBA. I EVEN DECLINED AN INVITATION TO ATTEND HIS FUNERAL. NOW RB GETS THIS MONEY TO SET UP MPUNDU TRUST. FOR WHAT? WHY SHOULD HIS KIDS OPEN BANK ACCOUNTS IN SINGAPORE!

    • we are not opposed to corruption fight but what we are saying is that it should not be selective. If kabimba does not want to be interviewed by ACC over oil imortation deals, why chase) over the same? PF is misusing public funds in byelections just like) did with his MMD. They will be prosecuted as well when their master is no more.

    • Am very shocked at your analysis!! Why can’t a president buy property, be it flats or a monsion? Don’t you know that is real investment? What would you rather a president invests in?

  10. Forget about Amsterdam, he is gold digger. There is able and capable lawyers who can represent RB. Forget about him

  11. But Nevers Mumba you are really a boot linker. Corruption is Corruption regardless who commits it. RB is now provided an opportunity to defend himself. Stop crying like a kid. Focus on your next move to form government. RB will just drag you down with him .

  12. Sakini just keep taking ARVS and making sure you are in power remember few years ago you could not even open the window of your car due to a bad state of health, today u think you are a supper star

    • Mungoma. Everything!
      1. It is sick Ministers who are a problem in Zambia because they need State help. Their loyalty is not based on truth but dependence syndrome. George Kunda changed because he needed govt help, so he could not oppose the boss.
      2. HIV causes dementia and for demented people to be running government! Awe sure.

  13. There is nothing to worry about if at all abena RB is innocent let him defend himself in the courts of law and not these outbursts we are getting..wapya baisa

  14. No one is above the law not even me! Thus let justice prevail. If the culprit is gulty he should be pushed accordingly but if he’s not then a can walk a free man or fly whatever will make him happy. But this a warning for the people in power, the clock is ticking and your days are getting close by and that we watching and keeping a record of your dealings even those taking place in closed doors.

  15. I want to ask Mumba why MMD MPs did not defend RB in parliament and why their friends in UPND decided to walk out instead of defending him? Actions speak louder than words. They knew what they were doing and probably did not want to be associated with him for future history. This looks like a donchi kubeba on RB by Mumba and HH after all RB is a threat to them because he is a possible MMD presidential candidate in 2016 and if this happened its them who would suffer.

  16. “Lifting of RB’s immunity is shameful and retrogressive” – Nevers Mumba. Lifting RB immunity is the most progressive thing Zambia has done. MMD Government removed office of abuse and promoted abuse of authority. Let the law deal with the case. We are aware that RB is not guity until proven.

  17. Whatever you call us Taskforce or GJIT, we will now finish our houses, which were interrupted by RB’s lack of interest in the FTJ cases. But l know there will be a protracted interlocutory ( process before we begin to fly big time to Singapore and Dubai

  18. THAT’S WHY I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SO CALLED THREE CHURCH MOTHER BODIES, IT IS BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE BA MUMBA. HONESTLY MAN OF COLLAR HOW DO YOU PROTECT SUCH A PERSON (ESPECIALLY IF HE’S PROVEN GUILTY)? SOMETIMES IT IS GOOD THAT YOU KEEP QUIET OTHERWISE PEOPLE WILL BEGIN TO THINK TWICE ABOUT YOUR CANADA ALLEGATIONS. IT APPEARS THE CORRUPTION PRACTICE, BURRING OF MONEY UNDERGROUND AND THE DORA DOINGS WERE NORMAL UNDER MMD.

LET NOW THE 3 MOTHER BODIES SPEAK.

  19. This is nonsense. Just wasting tax-payers money. Now you will all pay attention to this and forget about the many problems the country has. Nothing comes out of this. It’s just a distraction. Did anything come out of FTJ’s case apart from making lawyers and news papers wealthy? We should move on.

    • Don’t rely too much on history. The team that is dealing with the issue is different! Did you hear what the Justice Minister said? He said the investigation team has already concluded investigations and is READY to start prosecuting Banda. Doesn’t that indicate a departure from past inefficiency?
So, it’s not nonsense! On the contrary, it’s full of sense, extremely important and very good for the nation. Those in positions of trust, no matter how high, must learn to respect that trust and to limit themselves strictly to what the law permits them to do.
So, just wait and see if this will be a waste of time!

    • Hahaha is the corruption in govt reducing. To me it’s getting worse coz high nepotism, and contracts being awarded to cadres without following procedure. He sat on the energy enquiry and went and formed a company to deal in oil products. What morals are there?

  20. Ba mumba should be more concerned and worried about, why the mmd comeout third in the last two by elections.Alabee has hired a gold digger amsterdam to defend, let lupiya clean his name

  21. Never dreams of being President thats why he doesn’t like this because he is the type that would robe the country blind!

    Nevers shall never be saved.

  22. WHich people does Nevers mean who should have spoken? I, for one totally agree with the action taken by our Parliament. And I’m certain many other Zambians – probably the majority – are also in agreement! The suspicion of his malfaisance is just to strong and glaring to be left alone! If Mr. Banda is innocent, there is really nothing to worry about, is there? Mr. Mumba, please understand that the people do not elect a man/woman to be their president just so he/she can defraud them. Since you aspire to be President, learn that lesson well!
As for Amsterdam, the chap who insulted us by calling us “useful *****s”, I wish him luck if he comes here!

  23. Efyo twalefwaya fwebana Zambia. ichi chi immunity to be lifted. Ba alabi will be shocked that Dora is a state witness. But corruption inachita ova mutaimu yaba alabi. uzakambila kusogolo. Boma ni Boma
On a serious note, this development is good for zambia so that whoever is stealing now should not think that he or she will go scot free. Zambians are watching. It is the same thing that happened with R.B and his cohorts. Time has come just like MMD, the hour to be in jail has come now. If he is lucky, he will be imprisoned at mpundu trust otherwise, aaaa, kaya mwe ni pachimbokaila chabe mwe.

  24. Sorry, PF is just implementing the campaign promises just like HH has been urging PF to implement it’s campaign promises. The immunity is lifted. So ba Doc, Zambians are happy with this development even though a few MMd are not happy. it is normal

  25. Ati Pastor mumba I think the only people who can shield Rupiah are those who also benefited from his stealing. Too little too late doc

  26. Dr.Mumba you will never cease to mesmerize me.I first saw you in flesh in 1992 at KK Int.Airport, when a kid pointed you out to me,”that’s the man who makes so much noise on TV.” Then next we were on the same flight from London, the late Ken Ngondo was shifted from Economy to First Class because he could not fit in the seat, remember?Last, we met during your visit toL/stone recently. Man of God, presidential immunity is not a right but privilege. We the citizens wish to withdraw it even at will to teach you leaders not to steal or indulge in official crimes. We want to know the truth, than to have leaders fakely insulated by immunity. Even when you become president then steal after your term, we the people will get you. In the end presidents will stop stealing. It is a long term…

    • As I said , it is a long term strategy. You say this one is a weak case, you could be right, but taking money from the Treasury, purporting to buy fuel for Zambians, then divert the proceeds from this enormous transaction and you wish we the people of Zambia to remain as passive as ever. No, at least we need some restitution. Even the case of my late village-mateFTJ, if the case was not interfered with by RB(another matter to probe) we could had some restitution. If you wish Dr.Mumba start interceding for RB to cleared of these allegations by God’ intervetion. But God is just…

  27. If the move was legal and not just political then there has to be a full disclosure of the budget of the commission or task force that will be set up to determine the cost benefit analysis, the wisest thing to do if this move is legal is for the ACC to carry out the investigation with no allowances because it is part of their job and they get salaries. Lastly as others have already indicated a clause should be amended in the new constitution that states that Presidents will lose immunity after their term that will ensure accountability and remove all unnecessary drama. Systems and processes must be clearly defined and enforced.

  28. Nevers, please grow up an stop being petty. If RB indeed is innocent this is a golden opportunity for him to clear his name. You are talking without facts my friend. You are fast starting to also become irrelevant to the political arena in Zambia

  29. Opposition MP move motion to impeachment president sata now for allegation human right abuse and failure to rule under the rule of law

  30. DON’T WORRY PASTOR. I WILL BE THERE TO DEFEND YOUR FORMER PRESIDENT. WITH YOUR HELP I TRIED TO GO THROUGH THE COMMONWEALTH. IF ALL FAILS WE WILL TRY THE ARAB LEAGUE WHERE SOME OF YOUR LEADER’S MONIES ARE.

  31. What happened to my posting? I we bashushushu you are spoiling this nation. I have a divergent view then u remove it. I didn’t insult I was just airing the possibilities the RB case is not yet in court so let’s comment freely

  32. ARMSTRONG IS REALLY A GOLD DIGGER.
    PASTOR

RB’S LAWYER THRIVES ON THE IGNORANCE OF THE HAPLESS THIRD WORLD GOVERNMENTS. THE FELLOW DEFENDED FORMER THAI PRIME MINISTER, THAKSIN SHINAWATRA, AGAINST ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION IN HIS ADMINISTRATION. AS WE NOW KNOW, THE FORMER PRIME MINISTER RAN AWAY LIKE HENRY BANDA FROM HIS COUNTRY.

IF THAKSIN SHINAWATRA WAS INNOCENT WHERE DID HE GET THOSE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO BUY FOOTBALL CLUBS IN ENGLAND? WHERE WAS THAT MONEY BEING KEPT? WHAT WAS IT THAT ARMSTRONG WAS DEFENDING? MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WHERE STASHED AWAY IN FOREIGN BANK ACCOUNTS. THE THAI PEOPLE WERE LEFT TO CONTEND WITH HYPER INFLATION IN THEIR COUNTRY! WHAT WAS IT THAT ARMSTRONG WAS DEFENDING?

  33. Ba Mumba, talalenifye yama. Icalo calyafya. Keep away from Ala Bee. U were in Canada. He, was in Zambia. U might end up being a false witness at last.

  34. Yes,its gud that RBs immunity is removed. This gives him chance to prove himself innocent before the courts of the law.So for now PF should concentrate on working or delivering other campaign promises more money in pockets,Fertiliser delivery on time to farmers, job creation and not pronoucements,Meal mealie. One thing am sure is that At least,Post newspaper profits will improve having lost market share for no news. The following are the facts on RBs case 1.No goverment account is mentioned from where funds were diverted or misappropriation compared to the auditors general report with K500billion plus abuse within Z.2.Its not an offence opening an offshore account if u ar a zambian 3.Henry has never worked for GRZ nor Direct transaction with GRZ 4.Henry is not Money Banda 5.The president or…

  35. Pastor Mumba to u those allagations leveled against yo boss are nothing ? Becoz of yo temmy Banda should b above the law?By the way which pipo are u referring to? The majority of us voted 4 this and are very happy.Wendy demon, u must die!

  36. Presidential immunity! in the past, present and tommorow- the song will go on – don’t die before the song.

  37. We are a rich country but becoz of pipo like rb we re among the poorest in de world. Some unrealistic fellows are even sayg it is retrogresive. Are u sure? Den all crooks must b left scot free.It is u and Rb dat are retrogresive.God is watching u.

  38. Let there be NO ONE in this wonderful country to be above the law. If RB is innocent then there is nothing for him to worry about! Law must prevail in fairness vs through malice.

  39. Look at this sanctimonious pastor drivelling on about shame and retrogression; the shameless chap is there busy defending a crook instead of distancing himself.

  40. You Dr Mumba can’t rule Zambia. MMD is on slow death bed. Check from the bye elections u are only loosing.
Deep down your heart are now beginning to realise that God did not call u to rule Zambia.
You are a contemporary Jonah who ran away from preaching the word of God in Niniveh.
You Dr mumba have PRIESTLY ANOINTING and not KINGLY ANOINTING, that’s why you can’t become a president of Zambia.

  41. RB should be prosecuted finish and klaa….as South Africans will say. Indeed no one is above the law….RB should cooperate with law enforcement procedures to determine whether he looted govt money or not. And if found wanting be jailed or seek restitution of some kind. How can we the people that ever wish to have credible leaders governing us turn around and blame PF Govt for doing what is right. I repeat if RB is not guilty he’s a free man. But if he’s not then the law should take its course. And let this be a template for current and future leaders that to steal from one’s country is not only immoral but gravely unjust to the people being governed. Just look at how many street kids are out there, hospitals, schools, roads that could have benefited from such monies had RB not…

  42. We have become derivatives of stupid governance and we let it go on and on thinking it is all right for people entrusted with such power and authority to be corrupt and steal from “us” the Zambian people. Well not any more….remember we are living in the 21st century people…..checks and balances are there for a reason, I have them myself in my house so I can be able to manage my home financially well otherwise am done and dusted. I hear Dora Siliya’s son got loads of cash in the bank….Henry Banda has millions of dollars stashed in off-shore accounts…..why why we ask……this (the attitude of stealing) cannot go on forever….viva PF hopefully all these thugs can be brought to book without fear or favor. We are a working country with so let us abide by the rule of law.

  43. Amsterdam? Isn’t he the one that was pi’ed in the Far East? What about SAKWIBA SIKOTA, president of a political party-cum Rupia’s Zambian lawyer? Not up to the mettle, one presumes?

  44. let him be jailed if he stole. Chiluba was prosecuted and all the opposition was happy but how special is RB. RB is not above the law of Zambia. Likewise, if PF and Sata are stealing our money we shall prosecute them period.

  45. Nerves you are just an *****, now the one who has been paying your salary, will have no money to pay you because he will have to pay the Lawyers. Mr Mumba it’s finished for you.

  46. Let me say this, bangwele supporting and shielding RB have actually been castigating the Speaker. The Speaker, in simple language said JUST AS PARLIAMENT CAN NOT DEBATE A MATTER THAT IS BEFORE THE COURTS OF LAW, THE COURTS CAN NOT ALSO DETERMINE WHAT PARLIAMENT SHOULD DEBATE ABOUT! In this case, the constitution specifically says IMMUNITY CAN BE REMOVED BY PARLEY. So the courts have no business on wether or not parley can debate the issue. Of course he was being diplomatic! THAT IS SEPARATION OF POWERS.

  47. Firstly, Nevers you are a wrong person to condemn this move for sure you maybe a sympathizer because you have something in common. But as for Amsterdam he cannot practice in Zambia until he is registered, the same goes for priests, pastors, etc cannot just officiate marriages by virtue of their office…but they have to be registered, it also becomes a source of revenue for the country. Lastly, RB this is not the end of the world but a beginning of defence, and I hope you are clean….though non of us is.

  48. Hungry Hyena (HH) and Mumba have failed Ruphia their financier. You can combine the three and will not match Sata. I say so, Sata started from a councillor, Governor, MP, Minister, formed his own political party and now is the president. where ever her has been appointed to manage the you will feel the wind of change and the change is witnessed. In opposition, Sata and levy were sorn enemies over Chiluba and Immediately Sata and Levy met at State house and learnt that Chiluba was in the wrong, he spoke to Chiluba to return some of the money he stole. Chiluba was not happy and the demise of Levy, Chiluba found a new friend and that was Ruphia. Ruphia interfered with the Judicial due process and Chinyama where ever he is must know the law will be visiting him sooner than later for failing…

  49. Ba MUmba, BUKANDILE BWAKWA RB TAPALI UKO BULEMUTWALA! Remember, NSHASHE IMFUMU, ANYELELE MWITONGE! UWENDA NA NGOSHE, EUMUBEYA! IFIPUBA TA FILUBANA! YOU STOLE ISHAMUTULO WA BALANDA.

    • The resources that Nevers abused at while ambassador in Canada (mayenje scandal), the funds stolen by PS Miti , RB, Dora, Laito, Konga, Namulambe, Banda family,Kapoko and others is public money it belongs to Zambians and not President Sata or PF. Let thieves face musical law. These above people pick pocketed Zambians. And what do we do to pick pockets?

  50. Seeking justice is never retogressive or shameful! The MMD members should be ashamed for picking this useless leader. Of all the credible members in MMD, you pick a person who has never organised anything which he can proudly say I started that. Sometimes a good leader counts more than a party’s name, Mumba is not good leader for MMD. His is trying to force his style of leadership which had failed twice as leader of two parties and as a Vice-president. The results at the ballot are speking for themselves and Mumba should not forget that the people who voted for PF came form MMD because they were unimpressed with RB and he is not helping the situation by continuing to support him. People are leaving MMD because of bad leadership and come 2016, MMD will have 2 seats in parliament!

  51. THESE ARE SOME SIMPLE THINGS THAT MAKE THE OPPOSITION VERY UNPOPULAR. MMD WAS REJECTED BECAUSE IT WAS PERCEIVED AS CORRUPT AMONG MANY OTHER REASONS. THIS IS A VERY GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR MMD AND RB TO SHOW LEADERSHIP AND ALLOW THE INVESTIGATIONS TO GO ON. THE MMD CAN SHAME THE PF IN THIS WAY IF THEY COME OUT CLEAN. BUT WE HAVE A SITUATION WHERE A SUSPECT IS REFUSING TO BE PROBED. IF RB IS INNOCENT, WHY IS HE AFRAID TO BE INVESTIGATED? THE REFUSAL ITSELF BRINGS IN EVEN MORE SUSPICION. > K21BN IS A LOT OF MONEY. THESE ARE NOT SIMPLE ALLEGATIONS. A MINISTER IN HIS ADMINSTRATION HID K2.1BN IN THE GROUND. SURELY IS IT WRONG FOR US TO DEMAND AN EXPLAINATION TO THESE ACTIVITIES? LETS BE FAIR WITH EACH OTHER PLEASE. SOME PARTY WHICH CLAIMS TO HAVE EDUCATED PEOPLE HAS LAMENTABLY FAILED ON THIS ONE.

  52. I am painfully exploring to discover the real genetic make up of the Speaker of National Assembly, the so called Dr. Matibini. It is a puzzle to note that this trained Lawyer fails to draw the line between legal ethics and short-term political opportunism. Indeed the recipe comprised of Mmembe, Kabimba, Matibini, Mutembo Nchito, Mumba Malila, Musa Mwenye (may also a new recruit Lombe Chibesakunda) goes a long to constitute a lethal political meal that has plunged Zambia into the DARK AGES. What a clique of strange invasive species!

  53. I am painfully exploring to discover the real genetic make up of the Speaker of National Assembly, the so called Dr. Matibini. It is a puzzle to note that this trained Lawyer fails to draw the line between legal ethics and short-term political opportunism. What a clique of strange invasive species masquerading as lawyers!

    • THAT COMBINATION MWANSA KABINGA IS LETHAL. ASK LIATO AND A WHOLE HOST OR TANDEM OF CORRUPT THIEVES WHO WERE MASQUAREDING AS LEADERS WHAT THAT COMBINATION HAS DONE TO THEM. WE ARE SAFE AS LONG AS THAT COMBINATION REMAINS INTACT. EVEN A SMALL BOY KNOWS THAT MISAPPROPRIATING OVER K21BN IN A CRIME AGAINST THE POOR PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA.

  54. BROTHER NEVERS MUMBA HAS BROUGHT SHAME ON THE NAME OF THE LORD AND TO THE BODY OF BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS IN ZAMBIA BY SIDING WITH A SUSPECT. THE BIBLE SAYS “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.”IN THE LIGHT OF THIS SCRIPTURE I EXPECT NM TO BE SOBBER MINDED AND ALLOW THE COURTS OF LAW TO CLEAR MR RB. EVIDENTLY THERE IS MONEY >K21BN WHICH WAS MISUSED BY MR RB ALLEGEDLY. BROTHER NM KNOWS THAT MMD NEVER HAD THIS MONEY IN ITS ACCOUNT. HAS NM EVER BOTHERED TO ASK HIS PREDESESOR WHERE THIS MONEY CAME FROM? CAN NM STAND BEFORE GOD AND CONFIDENTLY SAY RB IS INNOCENT? WELL, IF HE CANNOT THEN LET HIM ALLOW THE COURTS OF LAW TO TELL US. IS IT RIGHT FOR A CHRISTIAN TO BE SEEN TO BE SIDING WITH A WRONG DOER BEFORE HE IS…

  55. Iwe MUMBA ,in most cases that you have spoken you don’t speak for the people, you always leave people behind. You had better organize your party members as you always talk from a higher platforms which you do not deserve, in my opinion.People from the lower class may not know what to do but more knowledgeable people will lead the way, take it or leave it!

  56. ba mumba what kind of a leader are you imwe nefya bupuba you always support what do u have for zambian pipo.Even u just want to come and purchase underwear wealthy $60000 while people of zambia are suffering.

  57. Why should politicians hide behind immunity? If RB is innocent why is he worried. We Zambians are so stupid. No one is above the law? That is the problem with democracy, even the stupid are allowed to voice out their opinions. Unfortunately Zambia is comprised of the uneducated stupid majority. We need to understand that leaders have to be accountable to the people. We have wasted enough money on toothless task forces? all we need is to toughen the law, and the law will do its job. our laws on corruption and plunder are toothless . The law allowed RB to be president when LPM died. The same law is supposed to hold him accountable? Why didn’t he deny the presidency? Accountability is part of governance. If he did not want to be accountable, he should not have taken the job. let the law…

  58. Akachalo ako mukakesale fye. Ubupumbu bwapitilila mu ntungulushi, shut that bitch and leave to go and stay somewhere where politicians are human beings.

    • No they are not. But the term “First Lady” is a legal title that accrues budget allocation. The parliament which includes PF, UPND, MMD and FDD members of parliament decided to give her the money. So if it is abuse of office, then accuse all MPs and the legislature that ratified the allocation. Otherwise, stop pointing fingers at things that do not matter. Besides, this is RB’s time to account for his actions. It is childish to say because Kabimba, Nchito, Sata, GBM and others are not clean therefore we should let everybody go unchecked. Kabimba, Nchito, Sata, GBM and others cannot initiate investigations against themselves. If you have evidence about their corrupt practices, you have the right to take them to court.

  59. hhhhmmm, Former man of God, as usual you are supporting the wrong move. Chiluba’s immunity was removed and pipo watched and did very little because it was imperative. what is so specaila about this thief called Rupiah banda? atase imwe Ba former Man of God pliz give us peace. shut your loud mouth for once!!
