The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia has charged that the Patriotic Front government’s fight against corruption lacks credibility.

Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza in an interview with QFM says there is nothing tangible that has been achieved in the corruption investigations that have been conducted so far.

Reverend Mwanza has challenged the investigative wings to win the confidence of the Zambian people by producing tangible results in their investigations.

He adds that the fight against corruption is further weakened by the fact that corruption is deep rooted in government departments and institutions.

Reverend Mwanza says the PF’s fight against corruption during the two years they have been in power is yet to yield results.

  1. Bwana Rev. how can it yield results if the people at the helm of persuing corruption cases are themselves more corrupt and having serious pending thieving tax payers money before the courts. Nchito and group are all comprosed as such they can hardly win any straight forward case all we will be seeing are the Nolles.

  2. Forget about the so-called fight against corruption, it’s all about setting a thief to catch a thief.

  3. Ba Pastor Mwanza,
What are you doing as men of the collar to fight corruption? The church must be in the forefront in the corruption fight, don’t just sit there getting fat and critisizing PF. Politicians cannot fight alone. And where were you when RB ,family and Dora plundered Zambia? Church leaders in Zambia are driving hammers, getting fatter, and maintain corporate type life styles at expense of the poor, widows and orphans. First remove the speke in your eye. Stop the corruption ‘love for money’ in the church ‘love offering’ ‘plant a seed’. Stick to Biblical principles and live simple lives. Is Jesus Christ your example? Learn from Pope Francis. God is not mocked.

  4. Corruption is worse now than ever. The poor languish in cells & prison cos they can’t afford to pay, take case in hand, some inciting riotous behaviour in the recent riots in Katete, are paying anything between KR3-10,000- to go free, the CIO, Station Inspector, OIC & Deputy are all on the take. Last night payments ranging from KR300-2000 was made to release one man who paid for banners & talktime, this country is slowly being thrown to the dogs!

  5. PF has got all corrupt MMD chaps like Katele, Kapoko, Namulambe, etc.. In their camp and they have a DPP whose pockets a lined with stollen tax payers money, a justice minister who is accused by the defense minister (who has access to state intelligece) of corruption!!! Honestly, how can they fight corruption?

  6. We warned you Zambians of this one man govt. A product of corruption hoodwinking the nation to fight corruption. Even thieves have honour among themselves and can be mistaken to be innocent people. That is the composition of PF govt.

  7. How do you expect a corrupt man like Nchito to engage in a fight against corruption?

How can you wash your dishes in sewer?

  8. PF are a congregation of corrupt elements that constituted the ruling core in the MMD between 1991 and 2011. These are the infamous chaps who could bank a Minstry’s money in their personal bank accounts .They would slaughter their own pigs over none existent swine fever and compensate themselves ten times over with taxpayers money. How can we forget the then Secretary General who ransacked K2 billion from National Assembly Accounts for his Party’s Convention? Yes these are the people you’ve interested with power to fight corruption. I am afraid they are not upto the task!

  9. Sata can never be the right person to fight corruption. Worst of all, PF is full of elements who made the former ruling party MMD to be corrupt. Right now, PF is targeting opposition MPs who have got court cases to join its ranks. Those who are expecting PF to fight corruption must surely be out of their senses.

  10. CORRUPTION IS DEEP ROOTED IN OUR SOCIETY. HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN PEOPLE BLOGGING WITH FAKE NAMES LIKE: GONCLAVES, THE SILENT ONE, THE LONDON EYE, ETC ALL SHROUDED INCLANDESTINE BEHAVIOUR.

  11. @Donn Mwala , i could agree with you more … In fact most of these so called churches were beneficiaries of FTJ’s beown envelopes or slash funds …. and they are furious that King Cobra does not give them anything on top of the tax free money they make on poor people who they do not even take good care of … Indeed GOD is not mocked one day one will pay dearly

  12. Church corruption is worse!!! If you are tired of fighting corruption, then just hang up. There is no need to demoralize efficient government officers. Take one example. Whether or not first ladies shall contract loans or not needs to be determined by a Zambian court of law. As a lay person, I can see manipulation and undue influence involving the presidency. This is the Rule of Law. Just be patient.

  13. IN ZAMBIA EVERYBODY IS CORRUPT INCLUDING THIS KUPUKUTA MWANZA. YO CHURCH MEMBERS ARE CORRUPT.SOME OF THE OFFERING IN YO CHURCH IS FROM THIS VICE.MMD CHAPS SHOULD NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT IT. THEY BROUGHT THIS VICE.

  14. THOSE THAT ARE SAYING THERE IS CORRUPTION WHy DON’T U BROW A WHISTLE ?BY NOT DOING U MUST B UNPATRIOTIC AND VERY IRRESPONSIBLE.

  15. Most Pastors are currupt, the sow the seed sermons have lost the track because of theiving Pastors. so Mr Pukuta let the fight go on.
