Sold-out Zambia-Lesotho tickets hit the streets

Share

The “sold out” tickets for Saturday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier between Zambia and
Lesotho have resurfaced on the black market at exorbitant prices.

The cheapest tickets initially pegged at KR20 by FAZ are fetching as high as KR50 in the streets of Kitwe, Ndola and Chingola among other towns along the line of rail.

Official FAZ agents have run out of tickets for KR20 and KR30 while the KR100 tickets are still available.

Scores of fans hoping to buy the tickets for the northern and southern wings are now being turned away at selling points.

Individuals on the black market bought these tickets in bulk.

Ticket sales for international matches on the local football front is often chaotic.

    • Thats what we call RETAILING. The guys saved time and transport for people in Chingola. Moreover, you had value to development, how can a school teacher leave pupils to go and buy ticket, when in fact he can buy from friends at a bar? Think deeper before you, making you crooked soul sad.

    • No need to limit the number of tickets one can buy.FAZ experiences less cash shortages when tickets are sold in bulk.If tickets which originally were pegged at KR20.00 can sell like hot cakes at Kr50.00,then FAZ are to blame for not pegging the tickets at correct market price.

    • @Garison thanks for that mature comment unlike the other two bloggers who replied to my comment.I like your suggestion. How i wish FAZ knew that.

    • @zebige
awe mayo… me i didnot replied to you or attack you, i replied to nostradamus,,,and
i was just laughing off the `language used`… i did commited any sin,, my brother

    • @Gibson, the last goat you sold to pay exam fee at Grade 9, you sold it alive at K250,000 to Zebige. Later in afternoon after your church, you found your lovely goat in peaces hanging in a Mango tree being sold at K20pin/kilo. The head itself was at K50pin, you even bought for sake of horns in remembrance. You estimated that Zebige made K500,000 from your now headless goat;
Ati if I had known!!!? If FAZ had known!!?
FAZ sold tickets according to want they felt was worthy earning from this game. What buyers did to those tickets its not their concern.

  1. I strongly suggest that next time FAZ should FIRST RELEASE east & west wing tickets for sale a week before the cheapest lot.
There has never been an official at FAZ astute enough since Simataa Simataa to handle ticket sales in an impeccably professional manner it seems

  2. What do you honestly expect from the corrupt incompetent empty suits at Football House who in this day of expertise parcel delivery, internet and mobile technology are still selling tickets at Post Office counters. I’m not surprised that they are being accused of artificially creating a shortage to profit from the black market.
    Wake up people!!

  3. Its called scalping “Ticket resale (or ticket scalping) is the act of reselling tickets for admission to events. Tickets are bought from licensed sellers and are then sold for a price determined by the individual or company in possession of the tickets”

  4. Tell them tuvi…it happens everyday..a match of that magnitude will attract scalpers any where in the world and you don’t need to be a dodgy person to scalp..its easy money..buy a cheapest or most worthless seat in the entire stadium, stand just beyond the sight line of people who take tickets at the gate, call out, take the money the first ***** offers you making sure the money you get is more than what you spent to buy the ticket…tips!!! don’t take your kids with you to scalp, its bad parenting and avoid people who give you looks that last longer than 7 seconds…leave if people do that..they could be cops…ha ha ha…so make sure you have a wrist watch on to look out for the 7 seconds..good luck chipolopolo..Brazil here we come..Zambia 10 Lesotho 0

  5. there a joint venture between faz appointed agents and those selling on the streets so that they get some profits..no wonder is stadium is never full coz those who buy in bulk don’t manage to sale all the tickets.

  6. ZWD told you three ago that FAZ officials want to create artificial shortage of tickets but you all took them for a ride

  7. Hey folks this happens everywhere in the world. Its about taking risks in business and the law of demand and supply is at play. Go to any football stadium on Saturday in England you will find kaponyas reselling tickets outside the stadium even for music concerts .

  8. The guys are good entrepreneurs. They bought them at wholesale price and are reselling them at a retail price. They are business minded people and I just like them.

  9. I have been to four World Cups in the US Africa Europe and Asia and these b lack market tickets were available at all of them
