Share

Some Lusaka Minibus Drivers have again hiked fares by another fifty ngwee (K0.50).

The distance from Town to Matero which used to cost Four Kwacha rebased is now four Kwacha fifty Ngwee rebased.

Some Bus Drivers and conductors say the decision to increase the fares is as a result of strict measures put in place by Road Transport and Traffic Agency-RTSA and Police on those contravening Road Traffic rules.

Meanwhile, Taxi drivers in Lusaka have bemoaned what they have term as harassment by RTSA and traffic police officers.

The angry drivers have told MUVI TV News that the officers are allegedly in the habit of soliciting bribes for what they term contravening traffic rules.

They say it is unfortunate that the officers who are deployed to ensure that there is sanity in the city are exploiting them during this time of economic hardships.

Anyone can do anything at anytime. What a country!!!!!!!!!!! blame the police. These are the effects of allowing wrongs things to occur for sometime and by the time you want to implement the law it will wrong. As a standard never allow wrong things to continue. Zambia is now suffering from corruption because KAKI envelops were normal, gratification was normal, politics of belly is now normal. land squatting is normal. Eating your child will soon be normal, poisoning people will be normal. Removing of allowances from workers is normal. Beating and killing innocent people is normal. Telling liars is normal
    What a wasteful country-Zambia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
