The Opposition Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has registered its disappointment with the way President Michael Sata recently humiliated Chief Jumbe of Mambwe District in Muchinga Province.

This followed the threat that President Michael Sata made that Chief Jumbe of Mambwe District in Muchinga province risks suffering the same fate as Henry Sosala who had his chieftaincy revoked as Chief Mwamba of the Bemba speaking, if he allegedly continues speaking ill against the president.

Speaking to Qfm in an interview, ZDDM president Sakala said that it is unfortunate that the President can use such language in public against a traditional leader such as Chief Jumbe.

Mr. Sakala noted that Chief Jumbe is one of the most respectable traditional leaders who did not deserve such open humiliation from the head of state.

Meanwhile Mr. Sakala has also expressed disappointment with the way Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni speaking people in the Eastern province has allegedly reduced himself to a level of political cadre for the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) by taking part in political campaign rallies.

Mr. Sakala further noted that such a trend as exhibited by Paramount Chief Mpezeni might in future bring about a situation where chiefs are elected as it is practiced in Western africa because of the Chiefs’ open taking part in partisan politics.

    • @ Chiwanangala, I’m disappointed with LT today! How could they quote anything said by this Sakala? He is the elder brother to Richard Sakala. IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT-THIS MAN SPENT ALMOST A YEAR IN CHAINAMA HOSPITAL FOR THE MENTALLY RETARDED. Even now he does not look or talk like a normal person.

    • Ba allegedly ENGINEER FROM AUSTRALIA, honesty is important! Lets just be honest enough and say what you actually do in Australia-cleaning old peoples backsides!!!! Don’t be ashamed, its also a job. At least you breath Australian air. You speak with a fake accent. And you generally kiss the as5 of whites that part of the world. And by the way mr fake ENGINEER, you do appear to be soooo dull. Your comments tell a lot about you….!

  1. I am a Mambwe and I feel like pushing a hot iron bar in sata’s ass. we are just planning to declare no go area for sata in mambwe land

  2. I am surprised that ZDDM is disappointed with conduct. He has always been like that. Stop wasting valuable talking about him.

  3. SATA DOESN’T SEEM TO KNOW HIS JOB DESCRIPTION.

GLAD TO KNOW NO ONE TAKES HIM SERIOUSLY. PLEASE CHIEF JUMBE, DO NOT TAKE WHATEVER HE SAID SERIOUSLY, HE IS A COMEDIAN.

IN THIS COUNTRY WE CALL HIM UKWA.

  4. We have a bully for a President. Come to think about it, most of the play ground bullies at Primary and Secondary school were below average performers in class. The only language they know are threats and violence. This is exactly what we have seen and continue to see from our president. This behaviour stems from a lack of communication skills.

  5. …………Let me categorically state that the words uttered by Sata at a Chipata rally, before men, women, and children, did not come out the mouth of a loving and caring father; they did not come from the vanguard of our nation, but from a desperate, inconsiderate, coldblooded, pathetic sadist……
this is an article on zwd by field luwe pliz read it. its so informative and well researched for an open minded and caring Zambian..

  6. The president has too much power……….. this problem can only be s olved by reducing them in constitution.Chiefs are like President`s appointees if thet can be de-gazeted or is dethroned at will.

  7. Can some one tame President Micheal Musata. This man has no diplomacy.why rubbish chiefs like that in public. Telling chief Jumbe that he knows what happens in his bedroom 24 hours, so what. ba sata, have shame mudala. we had so much trust in you. anyway, Chivote vote ma zambians. state house please teach the big man manners

  8. is a chief allowed to speak ill of the president in public? if the chief can publicly speak ill of the president y cant the president warn him like he did? Lt why didnt u publish what chief jumbe said so that we critically analise the statements rather than publicising only one statement.
