ACTING Chief Government spokesperson Fackson Shamenda says the launch of the Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) was a selfish motive

Mr Shamenda said the launch had exposed ABZ leaders of their selfisness and intention of being rewarded by the Patriotic Front(PF).

The Minster was commenting on the official launch of ABZ in Kitwe at the weekend where the parties interim leader Father Frank Bwalya stated that the PF had departed from its campaingn promises.

Fr Bwalya said at Changanamai grounds in Kwacha East, that time had come for a new Zambia where young leaders would accelerate the development of the country and that ABZ was ready to form the next Government in 2016.

He also declared that once voted into office, he would reduce the size of cabinet and that the party would embark on a recruitment exercise across the country.

But Mr Shamenda said the PF was looking at a wider picture of serving all Zambians and was implementing developmental projects throughout the country.

“They are crying foul because they thought PF was going to reward them at the expense of the people, Fr Bwalya was not satisfied with what he was given and so the launch has exposed them of their selfishness.

“They thought it was time to reap, but PF is looking at a wider picture of serving the grassroot and so the truth shall set us free,” he said

Mr Shamenda said the PF was not a investment party but was sacrificing for the people and carrying out developmental projects to benefit Zambians.

And former Copperbelt PF youth secretary Chanda Kabwe described the launch of the ABZ as a failure.

Mr Kabwe urged Zambians to ignore those bent on frustrating Government efforts in developing the country

He said Fr Bwalya was misleading Zambians and would be shocked come 2016 when he would be rejected.

  1. Guy Scott, Kabimba and Lungu’s IQ put together is less than that of Sata, so what do you expect of our country right now! Chikwanda says one thing Shamenda says something else we are in real trouble!

    • Interesting indeed why someone can just choose such ‘a grooming’, that makes them look really dirty; not just that it is mid-month and they are broke to go to the barber, but just as a matter of choice! And the wife and children (if any) love it!

  2. The apes have escaped from their cages. Shamenda and Co. When I thought with Sakeni nicely on the death bed in India, we have been saved from the lunacy and comedy or errors.

Enters Shamenda with more comedy!!!! Than Sakeni.

  3. Mr Fackson Shamenda, you are a government spokesperson and indeed a minister. This means you are a State representative. The State upholds the rights of individuals, the State protects individuals. As a State agent it is wrong for you to criticize a citizen. Please let us learn to understand our roles. This statement is a travesty of reason.

    • Mbinji….. the advice is too advanced for F… Shamenda. He does not know the difference between his personal opinion and state position.

  4. Is the minister bragging about the unplanned developmental projects? The same projects that have caused a massive budget deficit? Don’t even boast about the debt PF has unleashed on the nation.

    • What exactly does this phrase mean? Of course I understand the literal meaning.

  5. Barber shops are plenty nowadays and can be found at every corner of the street, ba shamenda you look like mailonis who never had shaving tools.

  6. Mr Shamenda, Frank Bwalya may not win the 2016 elections but atleast he will give you something to worry about – he might even do better than you the way things are going!

  7. It is time to give leadership to young ones, this is not Zimbabwe were they are short of leaders.
    PF cat not win 2016

  8. Ci Bwalya Franks!U failure where re going shamari…..welcome now re redy fr politcal blows.Yali kaba aftr yr rally ws dismal attended to.Excomuncted shikofu!

  9. Well, you could say that PF chose to use the positions FB and other PF stalwats to entice weak unprincipled opposition MPs to betray and weaken the parties which sponsored them. Yes, FB and other PF members were frustrated to see positions they hoped to occupy following the victory of their party given to some of the most vocal opponents during the campaign. I would be frustrated too.

  10. shamenda is the most useless bootlicking politician in zambia. just the other day he was telling nawakwi there is no budget deficit, then finance minister later admits there is a deficit.
Shamenda just shut up and wait for crumbs from corruption you contribute nothing to Zanbia.

  11. FJT was trashed by KK and he became President of Zambia. Mwanawasa was trashed FJT and he became President. RB just like Mwanawasa had retired from active politics and he became President. Sata was trashed by RB and he became President. The lesson is: NEVER SAY NEVER!!! You’ll be the same people, who will be jumping ship when the PF boat starts sinking.

  12. Why is it that anyone who differs with the ruling Party goes to form his/her own party instead of joining the existing parties? Selfishness or just sour grapes! Pa ZED!!!!

  13. Shamenda in his heart knows what fr bwalya is capable of doing no wonder his znbc couldn’t cover him including pf vuvuzela paper.
