Offices of the Post Newspapers along Bwinjimfumu road in Lusaka were Saturday shut down after a group of PF cadres supporting Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba staged a protest at the newspaper offices.

The cadres who carried pro GBM placards denounced Post Editor in Chief Fred M’Membe for allegedly attacking Mr. Mwamba.

The cadres vowed to continue protesting at the Post Newspaper until the newspaper changes its editorial stance towards Mr. Mwamba.

Some of the protestors said Mr M’Membe does not mean well for the PF and accused him of causing confusion in the ruling party.

They stated that there is nothing wrong with Mr. Mwamba’s public endorsement of President Michael Sata for the 2016 general elections.

    • Mrs GBM looks old beyond her years due to her marriage with a thug who beats her for fun!

Mmembe is more of a worthy man than GBM will ever be!

    • THE WIFE , ITS TRUE, SHE IS LOOKING OLD. ITS NICE NOW SHE CAN SUPORT THE HUSBAND. HE US FOUND OUT , NOW TO BEEN WITH THE WIFE BC HE IS SICK WITH THE HEART PROMBLER

    • I like this they are taking a dose of their own medicine. The rent a mob mentality they have perfected will come to haunt them. One day it will be pipo like Kabimba facing rented mobs.Their is one saying this disgraced Membe once said-“The world can only be good for you if it is good for everyone else”.

  1. M’membe isnt Pf so how can he bring confusion there? As long as there is somethnng M’membe wil report whether its fr Gbm or anybody, post wil reprot. Can u shut a newspaper frm not covering yrself ?No.Except whn the Post itself decides not to cover you.Not vice versa!Gbm is worsening thngs. He is a public oficer M’membe is private investr.Open squables only afect Gbm not M’membe by far.Evn now its Gbm reputation & conduct at stake. For Post its news coverage fr Gbm.Then u stop news coverage in such manner?Keep quiet bwana minster thts the truth fr public oficer. For Membe he does not care.Advise Gbm pls!Its last chance.

  2. Sort him out. He thought he could ride a tiger. Sata could be hehind this attack. Otherwise police would have acted. Membe you are in sheet. PF is not a thing to dine with. Kabimba would say “LET MMD DIE , WE SHALL PROVIDE ENOUGH FIREWOOD FOR FUNERAL.” I also say let them kill each other , we have enough firewood for funeral.

  3. This is getting too exciting. Two years in gvt and PF is ready to kill each other. Nichipaye nolamwina yama! And it doesn’t seem like there’s a referee. Saulosi and Dada baiche get me some more popcorns!

  4. The music has just started to tune-up, and the ‘KALELA’ dances will follow later. The opposition parties should merely watch the unfolding scenario from the ‘Independence Hill’ or ‘the fences’.
    GOD SAVE ZAMBIA

  5. do they have a permit from the police? or is it that pf carders dont need a permit to protest.this is not fair pa z.

  6. Mwamba is certainly playing a very dangerous political game. In life money is not everything. Mmembe like it or not is a very smart guy who has outsmarted political heavy weights before.

    • Mmembe has always being a pretender and people that know his have seen this, reason they all detest him.

Mmembe wanted to be a Minister in Chiluba’s government, Chiluba saw through his eye’s and disowned, reason he used evey opprtunity he can to get back at him.

Now a lot more people know FRED MMEMBE to be a hypocrite than in 2011, he stands no chance.. No one feels pity for him NOW!!!

    • It’s always that Mumembe will continue to injure other pipo.He will soon have his dark hour.God is just. You reap what you sow.

  7. The gloves are off now!! This is like Tyson versus Ali! Tupac versus Biggie! George Bush versus Bin Ladin! Kekekekekeke!!!! Bachiponone chabe chiFred!

  8. Can the police come in and bring to book all those behind this .as far as this is concerned, these cadres had no police permit . Just in the same way police are harsh on opposition should be the same they should deal with these PF thugs . I pity mmembe . We told u that ur down fall is near . U ll nw see

    • The Police should instead arrest Mmembe + yourself. Since September 2011, have. Always looked to a time when the PF will get out of the Mmembe cacoon.

NOW IS THE TIME!! PF was voted by majority Zambians and not one crook. Pres Sata and the PF thus do no owe allegiance to FRED MMEMBE.

  9. so that’s the thing.its M’membe VS Mwamba.why cant the two register as boxers so that the venue can be Levy stadium and we watch ka fight of the riches.because,if they were poor people fooling each other on TV,people would say nivofunta nivofunta but now whats this?

  10. GBM is not smart. What he has failed to read is the fact that he himself is a politician holding public office unlike Mmembe who does not hold any public office and is not a declared politician. Is GBM thinking Mmembe should be suspended from the PF for dividing the party? GBM is showing us how shallow his thinking is. Surely how is Mmembe who has no position in PF dividing PF. Mmembe just like any other journalists looks for stories so long as they dont threaten the security and peace of Zambia. PF might as well demonstrate against the opposition for trying to divide PF. So GBM’s morphology is just large but no brains. Come up with a better strategy and not this riff-raff to borrow your words GBM.

    • You are right. The rantings of GBM means whatever the post has been writing all this time was done in bad faith. Its a pity the titanic is sinking so soon. You can’t have Ministers parading one another with nudity in public then the so called master hibernates. This is chaos of the first class in African history. MAY GOD SAVE ZAMBIA

    • Mmembe is dividing PF by sponsoring Winter to take over from Sata in 2016 – that’s his project, to have his political puppet in State House. It’s the same project he failed when Magande lost out to RB, hence his hatred of RB which was not there when he was VP. Part of that strategy is to scandalize and eliminate all ‘potential challengers’ like Given and GBM. So GBM has done a politically correct thing to fight fire with fire otherwise you become consumed. Sata knows about this and used Mmembe when he needed him, but can do without him now. Winter and Fred don’t understand the Laws of Power, the first of which is NEVER OUTSHINE YOUR MASTER. Moreover Winter and Fred have no political base anywhere so they are very vulnerable. It will get interesting….

  11. No 4 was about to write the same that while this kolokombwazi letting pipo protest nama issues ya mafi when UPND or MMD say we want to protest STELLA UGLY WOMAN SAYS NO

  12. Pwete pwetete politics , the order of the day in PF, remember how Sata hatched the idea of third term and Nakawala regime- I told you CRIMINAL IS A CRIMINAL , no matter what jackets he may wear.

  13. So when does GBM actually work? I mean as Defence Minister. If all the energy and resources being applied to a none-issue like the ‘endorsement of Sata’ for the 2016 elections, were applied to getting the country forward for the social-economic well-being of the people, Zambia would be a ‘shining star’. But hardly two years in power, the major issue for the PF is ascendancy to power in 2016. It boggles the mind.

  14. What does the constitution say?
MCS is entitled to 2 five year terms in office.
What is worrying is the silence from MCS.
He does not need endorsement and he can tell everybody to stop this debate.
What is worrying me is the Hooliganism taking root in this country.
Thugs are now taking advantage in the name of PF and dispossessing ordinary citizens of titled land.
I think senior PF leadership needs to speak out and restore sanity in these matters!

  15. Mmembe can u stay away frm Wynter yr schemes re uncalled fr.Dont abuse Wynter’s unbridled lust fr power. How can Wynter undermine Sata?Whts wrong with Wynter?GBM now I undrstand yr tactic thwarting scanvengers’ unbridled lust fr power.Mwa bo mbeni ba GBM!Let peace prevail crooks ve bn exposed!

  16. Zambia Icalo caba Christiani! Bushe tuleya kwi? Plz ba Sata, my President, remaining quiet is not the solution. Your voice and stance on this matter will end the nonsence championed by selfish PF leaders. Someone sponsored them as we could see cadars fighting for drinks as shown on picture of the day on our chanel of chice MUVITV

  17. @Nubian Princess, you are so right. GBM shall be careful. Nobody has ever won against the 4th Estate.

Mr. M’membe brought the courage to the media and journalist and nobody, for that matter, a person of GBM calibre, can take that away from him.

    Forewarned!

  18. Gbm it is very easy to justify why u feel u are rightful successor to PF presidency no need to beat about the bush
-you are Bemba and Kabimba is not
_kabimba s health is also suspect
-kabimba has never won an election
-he also has less financial muscle
-however this reasoning is similar to what dented the Upnd so do some thinking kabimba is otherwise a better candidate

  19. History is bound to repeat itself. Not a long time ago Sebastian Zulu was a very useful soul to get a PF Govt settle down. At the appropriate moment Mr. Zulu was damped into the dustbin. Taima of Solwezi and Hampunda of the South were considered useful to the PF; but alas, Taima was dribbled and Hampunda left in the cold.

Wynter Kabimba was nominated as PF Secretary General for his possession of aggressive genes. Always seen around the high tables in PF to earn himself a Ministerial position. Kabimba was indeed very powerful useful cadre to the liking of the President. However, recent events suggest that Kabimba’s usefulness is about to expire – hence necessitating his ultimate disposal to the dustbin. History will repeat itself.

  20. Who gave thez cadres permit?plz if it wz mmd, narep or upnd it would an isuee nw, iwee chi stella b fair waba pameso kwati ni moping cloth.gbm be careful bcz meembe is smart

  21. Lets not forget how Mwanawasa betrayed and NEVER apologised to Chiluba but chiluba forgave him. Chiluba was a real man. Mwanawasa never appreciated what chiluba did for him. There is a strong correlation (behavior wise) between Kabimba and Mwanawasa, its up to Sata if he chooses to ignore these similarities. There will be Rupiah Banda to rescue Sata’s family.

  22. If the police did not arrest the cadres for lack of a permit, then they have the blessing of the machinery behind the police state. Fred Mmembe is indeed in trouble on this one.

  23. @the psychiatrist Mahtani is financing Kabimba. Kabimba has genes of north and south. Medical advancement has made the health issue that you are alluding to just like any other disease. He stands a better chance than GBM

  24. Where’s the President in all this? Obviously this is an entirely PF party matter, but its beginning to affect Government functions. The Defense portfolio is a very senior Government assignment. If GBM is too busy into PF party matters and squabbles, Sata should relive him of this Government function and find him a Party position

We have the same problem with Kabimba confusing his duel role of SG and Law minister. If the President can’t guide his 2 ministers accordingly, for heaven’s sake, let the secretary to the cabinet do that!

  25. BE CAREFULL WITH SOMEONE LIKE MPEPO YA MU JUNE. MMEMBE AND OTHERS KNOW SOMETHING. I SEE THAT THIS IS PUUTING THE PARTY IN JEOPADY.

  26. Exactly this is wat hyenas do eating each others ears these pf thugs are here for nothing bt harvoc in this country. Membe please continue doing yo gud job.
