The Northern Province Patriotic Front (PF) Executive Committee has with immediate effect lifted the suspension slapped on acting Kasama District Chairperson Caleb Monta and three other party officials.
The three are Provincial vice-treasurer Wedson Sinkololwe, Kasama District Youth Information and Publicity Secretary Jackson Simutenda and Kasama District Women Information and Publicity Secretary Ireen Chitongo.
ZANIS reports from Kasama that PF Regional Secretary Evarist Chela confirmed the development in Kasama yesterday during a media briefing.
Mr. Chela said the move to lift the suspensions for the four party officials was aimed at bringing unity in the ruling party.
He urged the PF members to work together for the common good of their party.
And Mr. Monta has welcomed the decision by the provincial executive committee to uplift the suspension slapped on him and other party officials.
He has since advised PF members to continue rallying behind the leadership of President Michael Sata so as to maintain the popularity of the ruling party in the country.
He further said the ruling party will not allow opposition parties to take advantage of internal differences in the ruling party and issue unwarranted attacks on the party.
Recently, the quartet who included acting Kasama District Chairman Caleb Monta were suspended from the ruling party by the provincial executive committee for advocating for the endorsement of President Michael Sata as the sole presidential candidate for the ruling party in the 2016 general elections.

This has strengthened GBM camp and shows that GBM has the support of other senior people in PF. Kabimba camp has to go back to the drawing board. GBM is being used as a front because he has a thick skin developed from his business dealings. His also the most buffered in PF who can stand to against Kabimba who is stubborn for nothing. Kabimba has failed to rally whole of central province to PF. His base is shaky. His like Magande. Magande had shaky base and that is why Rupiah got it.
The lifting of the suspensions shows how fragile the PF is. They feared the party was going to die. There is no discipline in the PF because nobody holds an elective position. This is the source of all these problems.
