Government has disclosed that BCG vaccine administered to newly born babies will be arriving in the country on the 17th of September this year.
Government had earlier announced that said the shortage of BCG being experienced in the country is due to a global supply constraint from manufacturers of the drug.
Community Development Mother and Child Health Minister Joseph Katema, told Qfm in an interview that immediately the consignment is in it will be dispatched to all parts of the country where the drug has been reported to be lacking.
Dr. Katema has encouraged Parents and Guardians to take their children to the nearest health centers for Vaccination on the said date.
