Nkana fail to cut Forest to size

Share

Nkana failed to emulate their struggling neghbours Power Dynamos on Wednesday after drawing at home.

Nkana finished 0-0 with Forest in Wusakile to fail to replace Zesco United at the top of the table.

The Kitwe side have however gone level on 45 points with Zesco after 22 and 23 games played respectively.

However, it was a difference scene across the road in Ndeke where Power Dynamos beat Nkwazi 1-0.

The score line flatters to deceive in a game Power made Nkwazi look second best throughout.

Kennedy Mudenda fired in a breathtaking goal on the near post in the 42nd minute that initially looked like it had hit the side netting.

And in Chingola, Nchanga Rangers fight back from 1-0 in the second half to share the spoils at home with Red Arrows.

Arrows took the lead in the 50 minute through Stanley Nshimbi before Alex Ngonga levelled from the spot in the 79th minute.

  1. Yaba, this is bitter pill to swallow 4 a staunch Nkana supporter like me. How on earth could we give away points just like that. Surely 2days game was a must win in brightening our chances of winning the league bearing in mind the position we are occupying against rivals Zesco. Our players need to improve especially the striking force otherwise our 12th league title wont be realized. Mopani has done its part ensuring full sponsorship and we supporters have been exceptional as usual so players pliz don’t let us down.

  2. Disappointed with the result ba Nkana. Sure Forest holding you at home pa chilata.Makani wabija baasa.

  3. This chap Festus has proved to be useless for our team. That appalling performance he displayed for Chipolopolo he has now brought it at Nkana. Does it mean if Sate Sate or defenders don’t score then we don’t see any goal at all? I hope the coaching staff have observed this and will act quickly b4 the long awaited 12th title slips away from us. Players twafweni twapapata. Nway its NKANA 4 LIFE.

    • Sure aba red abesu act quickly before the title goes to others.I keep on wondering this so called festus mbewe performance is quite pathetic and retrogressive can the coaching bench please retire him for a while twapapata.ABA RED 4LIFE

  4. Mr. Masautso Mwale, please find a better partner to SATE SATE than this FESTUS MBEWE,the guy is a failure.Don’t be like HR,who cant easily lead the game, we have confidence in you coach.Kalampa is strong except the top man(Festus) let him warm the bench, otherwise our dream will not be realized. KALAMPA 4 LIFE!

  5. I said it when before and i will say it again. Nkhana is not a team worth being Zambian champions. The only thing they are good at is the noise from the fans. Nkhana players became big headed after chipolopolo won the just ended COSAFA senior challenge. Drunkenness and womanizing by the players has costed the team. By the end of the league Nkhana will be number 4,watch the space.

    • Nkana have already exceeded last years standing so 4 th is not bad ! But Nkana will not be below second ! Zanaco won last years league despite being just an average team ! WE WILL WATCH THIS SPACE !

  6. Warroirs can still win the league, lets keep the faith. Walya nganga ndiewalya nkuku. Injanji ninjanji just ask the boys from Chililabombwe, they were whipped pa Ucar Chitalu stadium…. lololololol
