The Nkana executive committee wants their club to defend the FAZ Super League title and reach the group phase of the 2014 CAF Champions League.
Nkana chairman John Chiwele believes Kalampa have the potential to retain the league title and go past the Champions League group stages.
Chiwele said the Nkana bench and players must ensure that the club achieves its targets.
“With the support we are receiving from stakeholders I have no doubt that the team is geared to deliver good results both at continental level and in the 2014 Super League,” he said.
“This year we have two targets, to go beyond the group stage of the Champions League and to keep the league title in Wusakile,” Chiwele said.
He was speaking at the Nkana Awards Ceremony held at Nkana Golf Club on Saturday.
Nkana will kick off their Champions League campaign on 9 February with preliminary round, first leg away match against Mbabane Swallows in Swaziland.
Meanwhile, the 2014 FAZ Super League season will start on 1 March.
To go pass the group stage is not a good target.Nkana should reach the final and retain the league.
I’m informed that there were no awards for officials like coaches+++++
My childhood team. Go Nkana Go!
These are attainable targets. So lets go Kalampa, keep the league title in Wusakile and go beyond the group stage of the Champions League. And why not grabbing it ngayapwalala?
