Nkana and Red Arrows will clash in the final of this year Charity Shield after respective wins in today’s semifinal doubleheader at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Nkana beat Nchanga 2-0 while Arrows rallied from 1-0 to shock Zesco United 2-1.
Nkana were pushed to the limits by a half fit Nchanga who only kicked off their pre-season training three weeks ago.
However, Nkana had the cutting edge in front of goal after Kelvin Mubanga and Francis Kombe found the target in the 33rd and 61st minutes respectively.
Meanwhile, Arrows sent Zesco to their sixth straight loss in 2014 after coming from behind to secure their final win.
Cletus Chota put Zesco ahead in the 48th minute before Dube Phiri equalised via a penalty in the 63rd minute before Shadreck Malambo secured Arrows passage with the winner in the 75th minute.
