The National Sports Council of Zambia is confident that Zambia will mint medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
Team Zambia is expected to regroup in April ahead of the Glasgow Games that will take place from July 23- August 3.
NSCZ acting general secretary Lt Col Man Muchimba says the council has high expectations from Zambian athletes.
Col Muchimba noted that with good preparations team Zambia can reap medals in Scotland.
“Our expectations are very high and we are hoping that our athletes will do us pride,” he said.
“Our athletes must prepare well. The on-us is on our athletes to train hard and we will get the medals,” Col Muchimba added.
He called for peace among athletes and administrators.
“As a mother body of sports in the country, we want disciplined athletes and administrators.”
