Kawilo salutes Nkana

Share

Ex-Nkana and Mbabane Swallows coach Benjamin “Kawilo” Chilongo has hailed Kalampa for progressing to the first round of the 2014 CAF Champions League.

Nkana on Saturday thumped Swallows of Swaziland 5-2 in Kitwe to advance to the first round via 5-4 scoreline over two legs.

Chilongo said overturning a 2-0 first leg loss Nkana suffered in Swaziland was not an easy feat.

“I congratulate Nkana for beating Mbabane, I am happy as a Zambian and hardlucky to Swallows. I was surprised when Nkana lost in Mbabane,” he said.

“The win for Nkana is good for the nation. They were composed from the word go, I saw that Nkana were very much determined to win,” Chilongo said.

“Losing in Mbabane in the Champions League and coming here to beat them 5-2 is challenging.”

Chilongo coached Swallows from 2005 to 2006 before returning to Zambia to train Nkana in 2010.

  1. U are a useless and clueless coach like SATA on constitution. Thats why u only coached mbabane swallows for 1 season, how can u believe mbabane swallows could loose to NKANA when they even scored 2 away goals? U cant read between the lines that that MATCH WAS FIXED?? BETWEEN THE COACHES AS BOTH ARE FROM EASTERN POWER WHERE THE WISE COME FROM?

    • Oh so you call coming from three goals down easy ? Then how hard will the Kampala game be ? Of course , I hope you are aware the Mbambane Swallows have professional players from as far away as Ghana ! If it was just a bunch of Swazis , they wouldn’t be so tricky !

  2. Well done boys am really happy with u it is not easy to turn the tables up side down. I wish u good in the up coming games.
