Bwale relieved to have advanced

Shepolopolo coach Charles Bwale is pleased with Zambia’s advancement to the final round of the 2014 African Women Championship qualifiers after eliminating Tanzania 3-2 on aggregate.

On Friday, Zambia held Tanzania to a 1-1 draw away in Dar-es-Salaam having won the first leg match 2-1 in Lusaka a fortnight earlier.

Bwale said it is good that Zambia has reached the final qualifying round of the Africa Women Championship.

“Tanzania was a tough opponent,” he observed.

Zambia will now face Zimbabwe or Botswana in the final round.

“We are trying our level best and it is good to advance,” Bwale said.

He added:”But we will not sit and relax ahead of the final qualifying round.”

The 2014 Africa Women Championship will take place in Namibia from October 11-24.
