Ex-Referee Mukuka Chileshe dies

Veteran CAF and FIFA Match Commissioner Mukuka Chileshe has died.

The 72-year-old ex-Referee died at the UTH in Lusaka in the early hours of Monday morning just two days after he was involved in a car accident on Saturday evening in Kafue.

Mukuka had just hours before his accident acted as Match Commissioner in the FAZ Super Division match involving National Assembly and Kabwe Warriors that the latter lost 3-0 at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

  1. MHSRIP he was very actively involved in Lionesm in Chilanga i remember him asking me not to abandon Lionesm.

  3. MHSRIP. Great and accomplished referee in Zambia. I sat under his lecture on match officiating. he made realise we need to learn more on match officiating since most of us are self acclaimed match officials and thinks we know more than the match officials themselves.
    Condolences to the family. I was just reading his article in the sunday times.
