The Patriotic Front (PF) in the Northern Province has extended an invitation to embattled senior Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) members who have been stripped of their positions to join the ruling party.

PF Provincial Secretary Everist Chellah said the MMD former National Executive Committee (NEC) Members of Dora Siliya, Michael Kaingu, Brian Chituwo and company who were striped of their positions yesterday should join the PF.

Mr. Chellah noted that there is no need for the former MMD NEC officials to continue clinging to the former ruling party.

He said MMD is dead and will by no means bounce back into the power in the near future.

Mr. Chellah said the former MMD members will be whole heartedly welcomed to join the PF.

The PF Provincial Secretary said this during the PF District Conference in Kaputa district today.

The District Conference was attended by PF officials from the ward, constituency, district and provincial committees , Kaputa Member of Parliament Maxas Ngonga and his counterpart from Chimbamilonga in Nsama Chansa.

Others included district officials from Mporokoso, Kasama, Mpulungu and Nsama.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chellah has charged that the opposition has lost direction and has nothing else to attack the PF government on.

He said this is why the opposition has now resolved to attack the PF on the Constitution.

He has however reiterated that the PF is committed to deliver a constitution but will only do that in 2016.

Mr. Chellah said the country has a functional Constitution which has existed since the time of President Chiluba and does not need to be changed until 2016.

He claimed that delivering of the constitution now will mean making government non functional and this might call for an early election.

He has since advised PF members to ignore calls of the Constitution and instead talk about the many developments taking place.

He cited the roads and other infrastructure developments which government is undertaking as some of the things which has rendered the opposition useless.

And PF Acting Provincial Chairman Peter Mwansa has urged members to sacrifice in capturing more members through intensive party mobilisation.

Mr. Mwansa noted that party mobilisation is cardinal for the overall growth of the party.

He further called for unity in the party with particular emphasis on old members to welcome new members to the party.

    • interesting!!!,,,, is Everist chellah related to George Chellah???the language sound the same..,,,,
iwe Everist are you sure, you can invite Dora into your bedroom and live to see 2016???,,,, and Everist have you forgot that uncle kaingu is stil the same man who tore your president`s speech??,,,, your invitation sound desperate!!

    • HH start campaigning please! You are the only hope left for this fast crumbling economy! Please, go round the country! Sale yourself sir! Visit copperbelt a lot!

    • its unthinkable that any sane politician would invite Dora, Kaingu, Chituwo, Mulusa etc to join their ranks.
what value will these political morons add to any political party.

These are extremely divisive and destabilizing elements without any following and admirable political credentials worth writing home about.

They impact any political group that takes them in negatively

    • Those people have outlived their usefulness and would be good riddance to MMD if they were to accept PF’s invitation. It seems Sata has put them between a rock and hard surface by showing them dockets of cases pending against them for their abuse of office and corrupt activities when they were in govt, so naikosako!

    • ASK THE PF PETAUKE LOSING CANDITATE OVER THIS AND HEAR WHAT HIS COMMENTS WOULD BE! REMEMBER THE “ICIBAMU” WORD?

    • Kekeke, uluse yine! It seems that was the promise in the first place , bring down mmd and we will give you positions in PF! Hope it’s not the end of their political careers?

    • Finally the team has been invited to the table they belong, which is PF led table. Kaingu and team please go ahead and join PF.

  1. What would you call this? Political prostitution or political migration? A mu zamaye mina ma political migrants.

    • “Political migrants”! Love it.
But except Michael Kaingu, the rest can migrate because Kaingu is MP, thereon no By elections in Mwandi.
The kwacha is on its toes, fuel, mealie meal , food prices are all in limbo, people won’t eat by elections in name of party mobilization. Now look how PF are scared to even peep on their created Constitution despite it being after 90 days inclusions.
No enticed by elections, and PF must work very hard to fix the economy and problems they have created. Since October 2011, its been all talk and refusal by PF, they are best in opposition.
Please help the poor by saying no Kaingu by election shangwe.

  2. nonsense. even pf is finished. you talk of projects which are just on paper. may be there are massive developments in muchinga but here on the copper belt I can hardly see any apart from the dual carriage way between chongola and kitwe left by RB though it is moving at a snail’s pace due to lack of funds

  3. Mr Chela, what do you mean by putting the new constitution will stop Government to function or calling for early elections. I think you know nothing about the constitution. If you have little knowledge about constitution, then leave it to people who knows.

    • heheheh ati ba provincial secretary eh, clueless about what they are talting about. i thought secretaries are supposed to know the constitution and what is in it not lying to the people even if they are not well educated about political issues. otherwise, its a blind man leading another blind man and the other blind man not knowing that he is being lead by a blind man

  4. We know that they are joining you. It is just a matter of time. Dora has been to state house on several occasions, and Chituwo & Kaingu have been meeting Kabimba. Anyway, shame on them for starting a useless battle in the former ruling party.

  5. PF is a better place for them. They cannot survive in opposition. In 2016 they will join UPND or MMD – the ruling party. Goodbye.

  6. HH is the only hope for Zambia, pliz guys let’s
go out there and campain not jst talking on
internet, lets make sure we win all the pending
by elections. Wynter is busy campaining come on
    lets wake up.
    Thanks!

  7. CHELA STOP EXPOSING YOUR IGNORANCE OVER THE CONSTITUTION.
IT MAKES ALOT OF SENSE NOT TO TALK ABOUT ISSUES YOU HAVE LIMITED KNOWLEDGE. THE NEW CONSTITUTION IN ANY WAY CAN NOT CALL FOR FRESH ELECTIONS. THIS EXPLAINS WHY PF HAS FAILED TO DELIVER ON PROMISED ISSUES TO THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE. THE ECONOMY HAS COLLAPSED IN PF . VIOLENCE IS THE ORDER OF THE DAY. KABIMBA IS BUSY CAMPAIGNING BUT THE POLICE ARE BUSY DENYING HH AND UPND SPACE TO CAMPAIGN MEANING TO SAY THAT YOU ARE AFRAID OF UPND AND HH. PF IS FINISHED. LOOK AT THE POVERTY LEVELS IN THE COUNTRY. PF IS A FAILED PROJECT. LOOK AT THE KWACHA COMPLETELY LOST VALUE MEANING WORKERS AND BUSINESS HOUSES CANT MANAGE THEIR DAILY ACTIVITES. AND WHY ARE YOU NOT TALKING ABOUT OUR PARAMOUNT CHIEF CHITIMUKULU WHO IS BEING HARASSED BY SATA MICHEAL…

  8. What academic and professional qualifications does this muppet /goat possess, that is if at all he has any? He sounds very dull, typical of the so called leaders in the PF.

  9. Pf will never stop to suprise me one minute they call all mmd mps useles and corrupt the next minute pf entice and bribe the same mmd mps to join the principles pf.

  10. PF is a great party. They have skills of converting even the most difficult pipo to rally behind them lik siliya. Remember that even hh was once under them. Even all of u pipo busy complaining made pf win. Recently the upnd vice president visted state house. What a party! And am sure even if u complain u will make pf win come 2016.

  11. Naming your children chella has a way of making their ignorance pulpable. I need a sharper instrument to understand the thickness of this man’s ignorance!

  12. a very fitting party for them to join, they will be silenced so fast, in fact some of them are undercover members already; they all want to be presidents but non of them have the credit to lead people, they are in it for money only, so to the MMD I say good ridence to bad rubbish;

  13. The PF is really scavenging. Picking up other parties’ trash in the hope that this is fertiliser wont help PF grow.

    • Whats your take on William Banda being invited by HH as special political Advisor? In politics there are no permanent friends or enemies. Its all about numbers bwana. Dora and the others would seal the fate of UPND ever getting into government for good.

  14. My advice is that let PF RECRUIT MORE YOUNG MEMBERS NOT OLD ONES WHO WILL BRING PROBLEMS IN OUR PARTY. THE YOUNG ONES ARE AVAILABLE BRINGING IN NEW IDEAS. PLEASE LET OLD ONES COME IN BUT NOT TO DISADVANTAGE YOUNGER MEMBERS.WE NEED NEW BLOOD NOT THOSE ALREADY WITH OWN IDEAS FRM MMD.MR CHELLA THINK STRAIGHT !!

  15. I know Dora as an individual is popular in Petauke but I also know that PF in the whole of Eastern Province (where I was 2 weeks ago), is hated with passion (loathed)!! I can imagine the artificial imbrogglio (political confusion/oblivion) that would become of Dora joining PF… I don’t know about the other 4!!

  16. Zambian Politics are sofisticated and can be difficult to comprehend: inviting trouble rousers of MMD whilst making it rough for their own GBM who can help them far more than these recruits! Yalikaba aya ma politics.

  17. In a tight election race, like what is likely to be between PF, UPND and MMD, marginal strength is crucial. Should the trio decide to join PF, it is PF that gains and MMD loses marginal strength. Under the current constitution, that is tenable and can translate into the difference between winning and losing an election by a particular party. So the trash that MMD is throwing away can become the gold that PF is looking for.

  18. Yaba I see why the government hates online media, secret meetings exposed, now these 3 will need to redeem themselves, they are dented,

  19. have u noticed that there has not been Dora appearances at courts of law lately? pf wants to use her in their useless attempts to win 2016. if they have turned against GBM, they’ll turn against these 4 traitors. that is Zambia 4 u.

  20. @Other side’ Recently the upnd vice president visted state house. What a party! He went to see Chumbu Munshololwa who was in a critical condition on invitation of Kaseba and not to solicit for a job.

  21. pf also awe i have started to think thrice .jst doubting the calibre of pf elements.Invite at least pipo like magande, mutati and GBM.

  22. With an exception of Dr Brian Chituwo I am strongly against the others being invited and mind you ba Lusaka Times this invitation is not confirmed. The President hasn’t made any mention of it nor endorsed it. What you have here is something similar to the time some PF members rallied behind GBM while others Kabimba. Still I’d rather Dr Chituwo waits for 2016 to join PF, the rest of them are not needed in politics any more.

  23. They can get the malcontents and rejects! We have always known they were “paid guns” brought in to destabilse MMD. And lack of that foresight is what has cost them popularity because the founding members feel passed over by the “Johnie come too latelys”.

  24. Recycling politicians indeed!why cant we say ‘twatotela ba scot, ba sata , ba kaingu, ba dora and the rest” katushenipo mukwai ! we need a complete overhaul of our political system , a new constitution that sets an age limit for political office bearers not like the Munkombwes who have been with Unip, MMD, UPND and PF today, they even have the courage to stand up and say that they join politics/government in order to eat shame indeed! we need a revolution we are tired of ‘ukutulila amasuku pamitwe as youths ‘
