Festus Mbewe has promised to work hard for Nkana in the league following his recent return from his loan stint in South Africa.
Mbewe marked his return from a six month loan stint at Golden Arrows with a goal in Nkana’s 3-1 home win over bottom of the table Konkola Mine Police on Saturday.
“I am happy the welcome has been good for me. I am happy again to have scored for my team and we are pleased with the win,” Mbewe said.
“We want to pick up points from each and every game that we play.”
Mbewe almost added a brace after sending his 51st minute header wide before making way for midfielder Kelvin Mubanga in the 77th minute.
“Evans Kangwa and Bruce Musakanya have gone abroad so at least I have come back to fill up that gap,” Mbewe said.
Kangwa has joined Israeli club Hapoel Ra’anana on a one year deal.
Musakanya was recalled by Red Arrows at the end of his six-month loan deal this month and immediately sent on trial at South African club Amazulu.
