The Anti-Corruption of Zambia (ACC) has concluded investigations into alleged Abuse of Authority office against former Cabinet Office Permanent Secretary for administration Anna Mwitwa Mwewa.

Mr. Moono has also disclosed that the commission’s investigations into alleged Abuse of Authority office against Youth and Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili over congratulatory advertisements placed in print media regarding his acquisition of his degree from Copper Stone University have also been concluded.

He says the gathered evidence is currently being assessed.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka this morning, Mr. Moono has also disclosed that investigations into alleged Abuse of Authority of office by former Deputy Ministers Ronald Chitotela and Rogers Mwewa involving CDF funds have also been concluded.

Mr. Moono says the commission is to this effect analyzing the evidence gathered.

And investigations into suspected corruption in the manner a contract for the installation of Security facilities in Lusaka was awarded to ZTE have been concluded.

Mr. Moono has disclosed to journalists that though the allegations were proven in this matter, the commission did not prosecute anyone for the offence due to legal technicalities.

He however says the commission has submitted recommendations to the Ministry of Home Affairs for administrative action.

The ACC spokesperson has further disclosed that investigations into suspected corruption in the manner contracts were being awarded to companies to undertake preparatory works for the UNWTO Conference that was held in Livingstone have also been concluded.

Mr. Moono has further disclosed that investigations into alleged Abuse of Authority office against former Tourism and Art Minister Sylvia Masebo in the manner she cancelled hunting concessions awarded by ZAWA are still ongoing and nearing competition.

    • ACC, are you checking where the cash in Satas bank accounts came from? A fish rots from the HEAD!

“Alexander Chikwanda says corruption in Zambia is rampant and were a reality. He said tax collectors, just like traffic police officers, did not need any bonuses because they always help themselves to funds they collect.”

What are you doing about that? Have not seen any successful prosecutions there???

Are you really working? Or just a tool against political opposition???

  1. How do you conclude but still assessing? We are interested in knowing the results after concluding and assessing. Don’t waste our time with such shallow articles. Give us results.

  2. The ACC is still assessing the evidence that alone means the investigations have not been concluded.Analysis of evidence can bring up other investigatory issues. Please the back log of those cases is still a menace Mr Moono.cases are rarely concluded.

  3. Do we eat the same food? How can someone whose wife is away get FATTER than the people with wives available?

  4. ACC please do your job. There is a lot of evidence pinpointing Chi Chishimba Kambwili which you can’t just ignore. How can he have a wife and children living abroad at the expense of Zambians? What about those road contracts he benefited from harassing Gomez Construction? This uneducated chat is full of it and you are helping him get away with it. He even managed to buy himself a degree so what’s next? Did he bribe you too?

  5. Every time assessing for how long are they going to access, investigate once and arrest if evidence is there why waste taxpayers money on access all the time.
