THE Patriotic Front(PF) says it is waiting for the High Court to issue an order stopping the holding of parliamentary by-elections in the five constituencies.

PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba said on Thursday that inline with the Supreme Court ruling, the party has taken back the cases to the High Court for enforcement of judgment.

Mr Kabimba said the PF does not have any problem with the Electoral Commission of Zambia decision to set the date for the parliamentary elections since the court was yet to iusse stop order.

“As far as i am concerned the PF has no problem with the Electoral Commission of Zambia to set a date for the parliamentary by-elections,”he said.

The PF had applied of the Supreme Court seeking an order that former Zambezi West Member of Parliament Charles Kakoma,Maxwell Mwale of Malambo,Victoria Kalima,Dr Eustarckio Kazonga of Vubwi and Lucky Mulusa of Solwezi should be blocked from re-contesting their seats after they were nullified.

However the Supreme Court cleared the former MPs but indicated that the ruling party could take back the cases to the High Court for enforcement of judgement.

Mr Kabimba ruled out any possibility of the opposition political parties winning the seats should the by elections go ahead.

He said that PF was currently the most popular party in the country and that it would win all the parliamentary by elections.

    • It is very rare to see a man, with a sound head between his shoulders

Mr Kabimba exemplifies excellence, a respected man worthy of succeeding and reaching the pinnacle of political shores in the presidence, like all of you
I think he will reach the summit.

Part of what separates him from other political persons, is his loyalty.

Loyalty is an important acumen, for instance a mother or father are your relatives, but Loyalty is what makes one a FAMILY.

The bond of familyhood is one that is unbreakable. I hope you remember these words but I am going to cut the crap and say it right now i do think and I am convinced that Mr Kabimba is the CHOSEN ONE.

      He is the ONE

      Kabimba > HH
      Please support him.
      Thanks

    • Ask Kabimba himself if he is going to campaign in Mangango, in support of that old-man they FORCED to contest on behalf of the finished PF.

    • PF is a party not well represented by Summer, he seem not to have a clear strategy with regards to these by elections. deep down, he knows what is waiting for the party as humiliation is not far. By now PF should have removed this man from the spotlight in order to regain public confidence.

    • SATA IS EITHER BRAIN DEAD OR PHYSICALLY DEAD . I am 100% sure of this fact because my relative in the RED BRICK gave me a gist about it.

I know your politricks Kabimba. You want to block the five by elections because you know that with out people seeing Sata during the campaigns, you are not going to win any by elections at all. Besides people will want to know where the president is and what his health status is.

Why and where are you hiding the president?

Kabimba tell the nation that SATA is EITHER PHYSICALLY DEAD OR BRAIN DEAD so that if they don’t see him during the campaigns, they will understand and sympathise with PF,maybe.

The demise of Sata marks the beginning of the demise of PF. Not long from now folks, Zambia shall be free.

    • Its only in Zambia where the supreme court ruling can be questioned by a lower court. What a bad precedence in the making. If this case goes ahead, then all the cases which were presided over by the supreme court should all be taken back to the high court for review.

  1. Ba Kabimba, PF most popular party? Where do you get that from? This is Eastern province you are talking about. Have you forgotten what happened to PF and David Phiri in Mkaika? Stop hullucinating and smell the coffee. The PF nose will be blooded again by “analume ngao ngao.”

    • Indeed, PF initially wanted the bye election thinking they will win and have a parliamentary majority. Now they are not sure of winning hence these delaying tactics. Well you are asked for it! Allow the elections to proceed regardless of who your opponents are if you’re sure of victory.

  2. Red lips kabimba when are you going to die of Aids,we are sick and tired of the nonsense that comes out of your mouth, your voodoo religion that your practice, your adultery that you practice and finally we are sick and tired of you been used by your boss bum bandit Mmembe.

  3. KABIMBA is mad I think the ARVs has confused him, how can High Court rule against it first judgement bcoz those MPs won their cases in High Court, Kabimba appealed to Supreme Court, using the influence of Chibesakunda Supreme Court nullified the seats, now u want them to make the order for what? Plz KABIMBA stop confusing the people of ZAMBIA. For example I followed the judgement in High Court for Hon. Kalima, the learned lady Judge sayd the evidence in court was not convincing for her to nullify the seat and declared KALIMA as duly elected, she even asked how can 500 chitenjes influence more than 19,000 votes she got, and those chitenjes were MMD campaign materials. If PF is popular prove it with KALIMA

    • A supreme court judgement is final. This means that a high court is compelled to respect the supreme court judgement and treat it as it’s own and therefore the basis of the order

  4. Panic has set in. Kabimba does not believe what he’s talking about. If he did he was not going to push his party to file the nominations.

  5. Have been wondering for sometime now as to why the opposition parties and a lot of people posting are not supporting PF (Winter Kabimba) on its stance on MPs being stopped from recontesting their seats.
    1. Why are you supporting the corrupt to recontest?
Instead of looking for the clean we are busy campaigning for the ‘dirty’ persons.
    So sad.
The high court ruling is so clear even for a lay person like me to understand.
    Mr Kabimba, you are correct.

    • The opposition is reluctant to field fresh candidates in these by-elections as it is easier for them to win back the seats using these corrupt proved MP’s. Fielding fresh candidates entails starting to campaign from the scratch and even when they spend a lot of resources, winning the seats back is not guaranteed.

    • @Joni, how do you define corruption. If it had the same meaning then Gabriel Namulambe should have been barred from contesting the Mpongwe seat. PF shouldn’t chose to see corruption when it suits them and not to see it when it suits them. Muyopanji amambala?

  6. Pf wanted bye elections n they ve come in abundance. Lets go 2 the polls kaili or just declare those people mps. The supreme court did not nullify Victoria Kalima’s, so how do they reinforce the judgement? Tiye nayo Kamimbya or Kamimba that’s what u called for. Meanwhile by going bye elections Im wondering if HEMS will produce still photos of the rally. Apa pama bye elections and opening of parliament the nation will know the true state of the president that he can’t function n he doesn’t need a medical board to determine that

  7. The opposition need to be careful and come up with plan B because ECZ may be given the order restraining the incumbent MP’s from re-contesting at the last minute .

  8. Fellow bloggers, why do you waste your time and energy responding to the so called Mushota’s comments? That individual simply plays a devils advocate and deliberately posts comments to attract some attention. The individual doesnt even believe in what he/she comments. The comments are carefully worded to annoy and irritate other reads. When you she respond, that individual laughs aloud.

  9. @Mfumu walasa, Kabimba is not only dull but is also the cause of dullnes in his party. Imagine someone with a record of not winning a single case as a lawyer! I think LAZ should come up with a law at their AGM to debar anyone who has never won a single case in say, 20 cases.

  10. “Mushota”, the praise singer in support of Kabimba’s Presidential ambitions, must have his psychological state examined.

Let’s assume that if President Sata were to stop thinking and had to hand over leadership of the PF to Wynter Kabimba tomorrow, which part of Zambia would the PF get votes to allow PF retain power? How many credible PF leaders would risk sharing a campaign platform with Kabimba?

By this time “Mushota” should have learnt that Kabimba’s anti-GBM gymnastics have eroded PF’s popularity in Kasama – the home-base of PF.

“Mushota” should have realised that the Nkandu Luo- Lombe Chibesakunda alliance against the Chitimukulu has disappointed the entire Bembaland, thus cutting off a large chunk of support Sata enjoyed in his crusade to win the Republican…

  11. Also, “Mushota” should have realised that the Nkandu Luo- Lombe Chibesakunda alliance against the Chitimukulu has disappointed the entire Bembaland, thus cutting off a large chunk of support Sata enjoyed in his crusade to win the Republican Presidency.

Kabimba is facing fierce intra-PF party opposition within Lusaka. Besides Kabimba has disorganised PF in Chipata where Mangani help the ruling party gain some members. This time around Kabimba-Mangani rift has ruined PF chances in Eastern Province.

Due to PF internal problems the voters in Southern, Western, North-Western and Central Provinces have become wiser. Since PF is structurally weak, Kabimba is using Courts to delay political embarrassment in the outstanding by-elections.

  12. @The most popula party if it is the most then why are you playing all these dalyments,Pls ba Kamibwa stop this nonses what you have to do is to tall the nation the truth about ba sata then things well be better for you not lies and tricks remember zambians have lost intrest in you,Fest thing let us know whats happening on sata, God cant let hes children safer in your duity hands for long you cant see that.So take those still pics to campaign and see your popularity,Mr red lips kamibwa sir.(no sata=na no pf prove it)

  13. Total disregard of concerns of government regarding by elections is wrong and provocative. The issue of corruption is not trivial.

  14. Very unfortunate indeed. Why getting skin scared when you saying your party is the most popular. And really, where has this so called red lip taken his brains? Man, people need a gov’t not your big mouth. Show some divine mature admin skills, the nation has fallen.
