MTN Zambia says will roll out the Ericsson Platform that will integrate MTN Mobile Money with all banks by next month.
MTN Chief Sales and Distribution Officer Amos Jere says his company will also actively work with Bank of Zambia to educate people on the need to use mobile financial services.
And Mr. Jere told journalist at a briefing at the Zambia Agriculture Show that his company targets to work with 120 thousand farmers in the next farming season through its mobile money platform.
He says currently four thousand farmers have successfully been paid through the platform for their cotton sales in Eastern Province.
Mr. Jere says the mobile money platform will help limit incidences of cash thefts for money in transit.
