MMD cadres clash again

Share

There was chaos at the MMD secretariat in Kabulonga this afternoon after some cadres suspected to be sympathizers of former Republican President Rupiah Banda and MMD President Nevers Mumba’s cadres clashed.

Yesterday, supporters of Dr. Mumba attempted to disrupt the press briefing which was held by party National Secretary Muhabi Lungu at the secretariat.

A check by QFM News crew that rushed to the scene found police in full riot gear manning the MMD secretariat.
earlier, the police fired teargas canisters and disrupting unruly MMD cadres.

There has been confusion as to who stands on the MMD ticket which led to the suspension of party president Dr. Mumba.

Meanwhile, Forum for Peace in Zambia Director Job Nsama has told journalists in Lusaka that his organization is convinced that Mr. Banda is the only experience and mature person to lead Zambia.

Mr. Nsama believes that age is not the solution but wisdom and unity, is what the country needs in a leader

  1. MMD and UPND have more clashes than any other party.

I think PF should be allowed to finish their mandate because comparing them to MMD, they have acted more mature than the other loser parties

    Lets go PF

    Thanks

    • annoited one RB also! awe mwe!,,, Nevers Mumba you are a pastor stop throwing punches also!! me am tired of ukulamwina ama presidential fights now mwe!!… @Nostra my bro, please say something to these people maybe they`ll listen!!

    • The greatest thing for is that I’m not paying any taxes for dumpy grey haired Politicians with great acts of “Politics Of Poverty”. Voters, you screw up this one last chance, that’s the end. No survival with little cooper.

    • MMD has always had violence and unruly panga wielding cadres, Sata was one of those unruly MMD cadres. Zambian politics has always been full of violence and foolishness. And Zambian voter is easily manipulated, thats how we normally get wrong leaders.

    • MMD? No. 20 years was enough. No development but mockery of Zambians and the opposition by Mr Mulongoti and Dora Siliya.

PF? No. Cadre thuggery, Public Order Act, Triabl appointments, Facebook communication, arrogance, high cost of living, denial of new constitution.

The choice? UPND, FDD, Heritage Party, NAREP,

  2. Nsama, you do not seem to understand the principle of finiteness of things eh?. Everything has its time and State House should not be turned into a Departure House for selfish old people. Its very traumatizing and economically taxing to the country. No disrespect meant but just a bare fact my brother.

    • It is true , these chaps want to turn state house into a retirement home or hospital death ward , please say no to rupiah Banda , he is too old

  3. I am of the view that we should give back this country to the queen, let her rule on behalf of the innocent people.Zambian politics are a huge embarrassment to say the least.

  4. UPND is the most organized party among the big three as it stands now. it is high time Zambians reasoned better this time by unanimously voting for the UPND and HH in particular for continued accelerated development. unity of purpose is cardinal to any future development and for now only UPND provides that hope.

  5. What is all gnus Unity lark by people who are clearly manipulating candidates to impose their preferences by trickery.

To tell the truth, if I was the Head of the Army, Defence, I would be taking control and impose a military rule over the next 2 years, with Edgar Lungu as President.

    My word! This is chaos!

  6. Comrades..do not despair about RB’s return. His charges in the Zambian courts automatically disqualify him as a candidate for the republican presidency. Judge Chibesakunda will reject his nomination papers on grounds that his criminal record is blemished.Nevers will then enter into a pact with HH and the UPND/MMD alliance will carry the day.Nevers will get himself the veep position come January 2015.

  7. Nsama a 100% right. For the sake of stability, we need a wise man to stable the ship, PF will kill the country, RB to control in the rough waters & hand over to the younger generation in 2016. Best solution for Zambia otherwise our children will sit on the floor!

  8. Mushota, u talk nonsense most times. The fighting hss predominantly been your Pf and MMD. UPND is civilised. Have u heard of squabbles in UPND? Instead of hallucinating here, go tell yo PF monkeys to brhabe

    • Privatisation, that is what comes to mind every time upnd is mentioned, I can’t just check it off. That issue right there needs to be explained, at list we can meet you half way if you drop a few names, that is the only way we can start building trust (NO SHORT CUTS, sorry I couldn’t resist its kind of catchy).

  9. It is like racing a Landrover 110 old model vehicle and a Jeep, come on.. There are many quality leaders outside mmd or pf. Forget about geriatric demented leaders and move on.

    • @Susano…….

Who was the Receiver Manager for Kapiri Glass?

It was Ernst and Young. Not Grant Thornton where HH was Chief Executive.

For your information Kapiri Glass went down under Ernst & Young and it has never recovered.

Luanshya Mine under Grant Thornton is still operating.

This is not to say Ernst & Young and Mr Lumbwe should be condemned! It was a difficult time for everyone. Mr Magande who Finance Minister then knows the story better.

    • The funny thing is the names you have mentioned belong to some of the richest people in Zambia (Privatisation needs to be explained properly and in detail, no lies, Zambians are more educated now, we can see right through you). Scenario I am a Zambian citizen by birth working for a company that is negotiating state assets on behalf of my country (Zambia), the first thing I would do is try and negotiate for the best deal for my country, even if some deals are being done by other firms I would confront them and inform my government not to take the deal (in secret of course why would I risk being fired). Our minds are awake, who ever was looting the country during or after the privatisation era is going to be caged soon (hence the current situation of people instigating for a weak leader).

  10. If anyone ever needed proof that MMD and PF are two sides of the same coin, here is the proof. Action speaks louder than words.

  11. MMD has never had this culture so it must be infiltration by PF cadres trying to soil our party’s image in hope of improving electoral chances for their violent party.

PF ni umbwas na wakora wa mpika.

    • MMD has always had violence and unruly panga wielding cadres, Sata was one of those unruly MMD cadres. Zambian politics has always been full of violence and foolishness. And Zambian voter is easily manipulated, thats how we normally get wrong leaders.

  12. Bwana Rupiah Banda, please stay away from what will end up to be a very embarrassing moment again, this time around Zambia is voting for younger energetic leaders not your types. keep your dignity by staying away and watch these politics from your rocking chair please.

You cried after losing not long ago, do you want to cry again?, you lost with all the government machinery behind you, what makes you think you can win without government machinery.

As for Mumba, if these guys insist on blocking you just file in an injunction restraining the party from fielding old RB two days before nomination so that he does not stand as well

  13. Job Nsama last week was given K25,000 to speak for RB, you met with Lungu on Sunday to discus the plan of how promote RB take over from nevers, even when you know that what RB is doing is wrong, you guys have no respect for the rule of law, constitution must be respected but because there is money you have lost your morals, such *****s you guys, this how muhabi Lungu wife’s gets ****ed by young Zambian boys in the states, even your own wife has no respect for you she know you can’t perform so she outsources, ask her who chola is she explain to you Lungu or Kenndy she will you tell what happens in the states.

  14. UPND would be same if HH was to resign. Sata’s presence concealed all these squabbles in PF just as HH’s presence is concealing UPND from squabbling. Its Zambia and all politicians have been the same round of buddies, they’re “birds of a feather”, party acronyms makes no difference. They are all same people.. Stay Tuned!!

  15. I totally agree with blogger ‘mwanawakwitu’ @5, RB is not qualified to stand, has serious pending criminal court cases. Besides he seems to have his priorities mixed up, instead of being at the bedside of his seriously ill young wife he is busy politicking at the age of 77.
Please can his court appearances resume to remind him of where his concentration ought to be?
