The people of Zambia have been advised against making emotional decisions when casting their vote on the polling day for the 2015 presidential election.

The opposition All People’s Congress (APC) is urging Zambians to base their political decision on the credentials of each candidate aspiring to be the country’s president.

APC president Nason Msoni has told Qfm News by telephone he thinks what Zambians should be looking for is political experience and competence when assessing who should be their leader.

Mr. Msoni states that this is because the point at which Zambia is, if a young person was voted in as President the country would be in a governance and leadership mess.

He says if young people are insisting on wanting to become the country’s Head of State the best time would be in 2016.

The APC leader has also cautioned the people of Zambia not be swayed by lies and political deceit while they make their assessments of who should be their President if they are to avoid going through the same experience again.

He says the country is back in a position where politicians have started making promises they already know are unattainable.

The opposition leader states that it is important therefore that all aspiring presidential candidates be candid and make honest promises in their campaigns.

He says they should dwell on what things they can do differently for the Zambian people.

    • What’s this guy on about? He seems to be in love with his on voice! Quote: Zambians should not vote for a young person until 2016… end quote. what the flipping hell does that mean. What consitutes young and how much older would one be in 2016 – just add to their current age.

  1. Mr. Msoni incase you have not been in Zambia the last years, let me tell you that the Zambians have tried people with vast “politically experience” and “competence” so please spare us that —.
Just concentrate on mobilising your party, if it exists.

    • Msoni is a tribalist. He’s supporting old Rupiah-“Wako ni Wako,Umodzi ku Mawa”When he appeared on Prime TV,he openly said that, you don’t go for a Bemba again. That’s why he’s supporting his tribes man shameless old Rupiah. For Msoni whether his tribes man is useless,he will still go for him.ABASH Msoni.

    • Mr Msoni, this Rupiah you’re supporting resigned.Did Rupiah write another letter to rescind his earlier resignation? Why should he come like a thief through the back door to assume the position he volunterily resigned from?If you can support such an immoral person without intergrity, then Msoni I doubt your sanity though Rupiah is your fellow Easterner-sic.

  2. Idi Amin was an army officer and president of Uganda. He took power in a military coup in January 1971, deposing Milton Obote. His rule was characterized by human rights abuses, political repression, ethnic persecution, extra judicial killings and the expulsion of Indians from Uganda. The number of people killed as a result of his regime is unknown; estimates range from 80,000 to 500,000. On August 4, 1972, Amin issued a decree ordering the expulsion of the 60,000 Asians who were not Ugandan citizens (most of them held British passports). This was later amended to include all 80,000 Asians, with the exception of professionals, such as doctors, lawyers and teachers. Amin was eventually overthrown, but until his death, he held that Uganda needed him and he never expressed remorse.
