Paramount Chief Chitimukulu designate Henry Kanyanta Sosala has revealed that he and late Republican President Michael Sata had reconciled their perceived differences long before the former Head of State passed on.
He said the reconciliation was evident by the late President’s decision to honour him for distinguished national service at the investiture ceremony held on Independence Day in Kasama.
Mr. Sosala said currently the Bemba Royal Establishment was enjoying a good relationship with the PF government after some succession disputes between the two parties.
Mr. Sosala was speaking yesterday when some PF campaign team led by Mr. Lungu’s media spokesperson Emmanuel Mwamba paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Malole.
Mr Sosala said that he was ready to welcome Patriotic Front (PF) President Edgar Lungu to Northern Province.
Mr. Sosala said Mr. Lungu is free to seek blessings from him, just like other Presidential aspirants who have so far visited his palace.
PF President Edgar Lungu is today expected to meet the Paramount Chief Chitimukulu designate before holding a public rally in Kasama.
And Mr. Mwamba thanked the Paramount Chief designate for the warm reception accord to him and his delegation.

Ba Sosala now Paramount Chitimukulu is one of the very few educated and analytic think tanks the Zambian Chiefdom has ever had. He is a widely read and prolific writer. He has depth in social sciences among them sociology and psychology disciplines he Marshalls unparalleled knowledge. He has a solid understanding of life dynamics and variables with a heart of forgiveness and renewal. By receiving EL’s advance party, the Chitimukulu and President Edgar Lungu have both been magnanimous. Who in Zambia does not know that Ba Chanda Sosala soon to be recognized as Chitimukulu was harassed, embarased and ridiculed by late president Sata. Ba Sosala was under house arrest, all chiefs in Zambia know this, HOW CAN YOU BEMBAS FORGET THIS MATTER THAT IS AT YOUR CORE OF EXISTENCE AS A (PEOPLE) IN ZAMBIA.
Never mind politics, you were humiliated as Bembas, to associate yourselves with those that humiliated you is abdication of who you are as Bembas. Take a hard long view over it.
The fact that late Sata, a Bisa, differed with the Chitimukulu did not make us Bembas to abandon the PF. We always hoped for a time like this one when there would be reconciliation with the Chitimukulu. Come January we are voting for Edgar to ensure the Chitimukulu gets the recognition he deserves. There are no more fights over whether a Bisa or Bemba should be a Chitimukulu. We are a forgiving people and believe strongly that Edgar Lungu means well.
