Share

Opposition Forum for Democratic Alternatives (FDA) President Ludwig Sondashi has promised to uphold the freedom of the media once elected republican President in 2015.

Dr. Sondashi says once elected president his government will also uphold the people’s right to information.

Dr. Sondashi has further pledged to ensure the enactment of legislation that supports the media to operate freely.

He says this is because his party holds the view that the media is a partner in a Democracy and therefore without its freedom, Democracy is compromised.

He adds that once the FDA forms government, it wants to ensure that the public media is transformed.

Dr. Sondashi says his government will ensure that the public media does not only serve the interests of the party in government but also those of the public including opposition political parties.
