MINISTER of Youth and Sport Chishimba Kambwili says said the Patriotic Front (PF) will win the January 20 presidential election because it has national character and is implementing development projects in all parts of the country, including in opposition strongholds.
And Mr Kambwili has challenged United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema to ‘sober up’ and desist from claiming that he will win the forthcoming presidential election.
Speaking on Radio Phoenix Let The People Talk programme yesterday, Mr Kambwili said the forthcoming presidential election is not about changing Government but replacing a PF president who was given a five-year mandate.
He said the PF administration has commissioned many development projects countrywide without any favour.
“For instance, we have done the Gwembe-Siavonga Bottom Road but that is a UPND stronghold. That is to show how fair we are in distributing the national cake,” Mr Kambwili said.
And Mr Kambwili has wondered why the UPND has quickly reneged on its promise to remove street vendors when the PF embraced them.
“UPND MPs are on record of discrediting the PF when they allowed street vendors to trade on the streets. Also they criticised us over the various road construction projects we embarked on but they are now saying they will accelerate all development projects started by the PF,” he said.
And Mr Kambwili says former President Rupiah Banda has influence.
“Let me set the record straight: It’s not Mr Lungu who approached Mr Banda for help but I was the one who did so. And he never added any condition to support us,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Solwezi Central member of Parliament (MP) Lucky Mulusa says the PF will win the January 20 presidential election because it is better and attractive under the leadership of party president Edgar Lungu.
Mr Mulusa said he is surprised that some leaders want to continue attacking the PF when it is under new leadership.
“Edgar Lungu brings with him a personality of humility and is all embracing. He is not a know-it-all man. That is why I and my family will vote for him in this election,” Mr Mulusa said
He described Mr Lungu as a genuine leader who will run an inclusive government.
Mr Mulusa said he is confident that Mr Lungu will win the forthcoming election.
“People have accepted Mr Lungu and he is winning. The people that made PF bad are no longer there so I don’t see any reason why people want me to continue critising it,” he said.
I really feel sorry for HH who is now at the mercy of dangerous foreign interests.
My dear brother HH has locked himself in a quandary. He is at the mercy of foreign mercenary Groups the Executive outcomes known for their arms and soldiers of fortunes. How he will deal with them in the aftermath of ballot rejection remains a subject of that time. I fear they may becoming after him viciously. His desperation is revealing a lot risks. He must be kept away from state power in a long time because the schemes and collaborations are adverse to the country and the people. He espouses absolutely no national interest but multinationals. Hear his flip flops on the mining tax due to Zambians. He says give multinationals free resources and let Zambians just retain jobs. This is why he has remained the enemy of common man’s hopes, dignity and equity. Shameful to say the least.

Zambian’s the danger you impose among yourselves is thinking shallow like Kambwili and those supporting his thoughts are just like him. Lets think for a minute about “Inkongole” meaning the loan Edgar Lungu borrowed for his campaigns. He must pay it back with interest and other promises made to the investors. The Kwacha is still at its worst and has not revived so what kind of leader sells his countries resources in order to run campaigns? Its not because people don’t like Lungu, its because he has no vision and cannot think or see ahead. Many of us have borrowed money and know the feeling of paying back when we don’t have it. Same thing in Zambia’s case so they will go after our resources to get every single penny owed to them. Think wisely and not foolishly like Kambwili.
Everyone claims Zambia is a Christian nation in fact they sing about it. Look at this mindless mess Kambwili dresses in a Muslim outfit. This is to show you the way these ministers think. This guy cannot compete against a 5th grader. In politics the way you look and carry yourself matter and affect your party. I guess PF promised investors they will dress this way in order to honor them for loaning them the money. Look at what is happening in Nigeria with Boko Haram and their latest deadly attacks. Yet here we are with our foolish minister dressed like them as if worshipping them. This is why PF has to go so others can come in. We need a clean slate meaning hiring people with degrees in their fields and recalling diplomats abroad and sending new ones with actual skills and education.
No wonder the desperation we have witnessed: Crazy, unattainable promises meant to sway the weak-minded, persistent allegations against the ruling party as though there is absolutely nothing the PF has done. HH should have been more down to earth in his promises. He should not have attempted to deny his links to the Freemason Society this time when he never did so in the past when the allegations first came up. Zambia is for God and not any other deity. One thing he doesn’t realize is that Zambians are more enlightened. They have been through many elections and are too wise to be cheated. Its a pity, this will be his last chance to contest for the highest office in the land and then UPND will either go into oblivion or get stronger, depending on who takes over.
The guy wears another country’s national dress, not in his spare time which would be ok, but when he’s taking the stage to pledge service to ZAMBIANS.

Let us wait until 20th Jan, it is just few days left. Many PF supporters might have shock of their life. This election can go either way. Rupiah has not carried all MMD base to PF and PF were panicking that is why they approached him for help. Even with Rupiah, it is not guaranteed. There has been movements on the ground and no one can claim their base is still intact and this will be seen on 20th Jan 2015. Lusaka and Copperbelt have been known to easily change support allegiance. MMD had control of them and lost. UPND has Lusaka and lost it. PF will be cheating to think they can always keep Lusaka and copperbelt as their base. History has shown that urban constituencies are difficulty to hold as ruling party because people are informed and easily change.
