LUNTE Member of Parliament Felix Mutati has urged the electorate in Katete to vote for UPND leader Haikande Hichilema during next Tuesday’s Presidential elections.

Mr. Mutati says this is because Mr. Hakainde is the only candidate who can deliver development in all sectors once elected as a Republican President.

He said for instance the agriculture sector which is the main driver of economy in Eastern Province has plummeted under the Patriotic Front (PF) government but once Mr Hichilema is voted into power this can be reversed as he is a visionary leader.

He explained since 2011 when PF took office from the MMD, things have not been going well more especially in the distribution of fertilizer to small scale farmers.

He was speaking when he addressed public rallies in in Katete yesterday to drum up support for Mr Hichilema.

Mr Mutati said he was dismayed that the PF has mismanaged the distribution of farming inputs as well as the delay in the payments of farmers in the country.

He said it was also sad that the PF government had incurred foreign debt amounting to US$ 4.7 billion in what UNIP got when it governed the country in 27 years.

He stated that despite borrowing huge sums of money from outside the PF government had lamentably failed to pay for their produce.

And MMD Mkaika MP Peter Phiri says the ruling PF Government has failed the people of Mkaika and Eastern Province in a number of areas such as the agriculture sector.

Mr Phiri said the price of cotton had been mismanaged by the PF Government thereby reducing the price from K3.50 to K1.60 in 2012 and 2013 marketing season.

Meanwhile, Former Eastern Province PF chairperson Lameck Mangani says it was time to change Government for betterment of the Zambian people.

Mr Mangani said Mr Hichilema had the passion to serve the people because of his sound background.

Others speakers were MMD provincial chairperson Alexander Miti and former President Rupiah Banda’s son, Andrew Banda.

    • Not to us he isn’t. Very difficult to surpass the level of embarrassment we’ve endured the last 3 years.
I think we’re all immune to embarrassment by now. It’s the order of the day (we can continue to endure for the next 6)

To my fellow HH followers, I have had this dream….
In my dream I could see a town called Kasama, home to a certain Paramount Chief who am told had been tossed left and right by some brutal mad men and left in despair. In this town, I could see on the horizon, the opposition led by a leader with initials, Ha, Ha, cerebrating in the streets bcz against all odds, this was perceived to be a strong hold for the ruling PF.In this town, I’m told, there was a presidential bye election and the opposition had carried the day! Strangely, the celebns where led by the areas MP who happend to be from the ruling PF.This left me confused and made me wake up sweating as I could not finger it out as to why a PF MP shd b on side of the…

  7. Iam extremely humbled by ba Mutati’s vigour and determination to save poor Zambians from the jaws of the hynas(CNP). Twachula pafula kuli ba mukukulu bakantu aba. We need change. A new government under a new party. We are tired of the arogant poor fools(pf). Change. Change. Let us try upnd.
If they fail to perform they will go as well in 2016.

  8. Ba Mutati can you tell the pipo why you sold your trucks at CHamb? The loan you got and failed to service from CEEC is still haunting u bcoz PF govt forced you to pay back. You won’t hide behind hh because you still have to explain about those farms

    • My vote goes to PF and EL. Call more names and we Bembas and Easterners are determined to give you a befitting reply. We will vote for one of us as a protest to show you insulting politicians, where the power lies. Humble and simple EL will win.

  9. I see a a brand new day for our country. I see the government that I always dreamed about. HH, MUTATI, MILUPI, MOSOKOTWANE DEPARK AND GBM to mention just a few brilliant minds coming together. Its a brand new era tell the world Zambia has arrived.

  10. I do not trust this guy at all. Another misfit supporting HH and UPND. Look at the shape of his mouth when he speaks; cunning, liar and unreliable. What achievements can you articulate in the 20 years you were in Government? Tell us about what you did in Lunte! Bonza chabe!
Tell us about your personal achievement; I am sure it’s an exhaustive list. What did you own before you went into politics! Gosh you really made it! You cannot be trusted at all. I shudder at the likes of you seeking high office!
