Our PVT numbers are showing positive results for our candidate Mr. Hakainde Hichilema who has benefitted from high turnout in UPND strongholds, as well as unprecedented levels of support across the country, particularly in Eastern Province.
We have not announced or released these numbers as of yet given that voting is still underway at some stations and following the decision of the ECZ to halt its announcements of the results until voting has closed.

ECZ is said to be investigating reports that some of its officials are colluding with PF agents to insert numbers to boost figures before they are officially announced.
Sources at ECZ says there are suspicions that somehow,some officials are managing to insert a number for example a ‘2’ where PF got 700 votes to make it 2700. This is said to have happened in about 30 constituencies.

Transparency International Zambia chapter vice president JOESPH KALUNGU says his organisation has NOT declared any candidate in the Presidential race but is merely sharing information received from various constituencies.
Mr. KALUNGU says the aim of TIZ is to promote transparency during the election process.
He says TIZ deployed monitors in a number of polling stations in the 150 constituencies to monitor the voting process that took place yesterday and today.

The Zambian economy is seriously underperforming with a number of businesses recording declining turnover and profitability; poverty levels among our citizens remain too high; our economy needs to grow at rates above 10% and create at least 2.5 million jobs in the next 2 years; we need more of our children to enter college, regardless of the circumstances of their parents; we need all our citizens to have access to quality medical services; we need a stable currency that will not kill the small businesses that depend on cross order trading, etc. With a team comprising the nation’s best talent, with a lot of grit and hard work, the 6th President can start the process of delivering on these noble national goals!

Whatever you have said is known globally and every country has the similar problems. Instead of being to academic and rhetoric as most of you are hope you not UPND, please give practical measures: for example HOW to attain 10% REAL GDP, job creation and what type of jobs, college/University admission, where are these colleges/Universities, quality medical services (is it public or private) ’cause even private medical services are just stealing patients’ money, currency stabilization, how?
Whilst I sympathize with you most of you characters are just keyboard critics and don’t give alternatives. For example what do you mean by saying “hard working and best talent”?
I hasten to say that this is what the PF Government has embarked on and it takes time to correct…

MMD Chief Bootlicker, I have followed your comments for some time and truly speaking you submit decent arguments but you seem to be losing your trend of logic of late. I really doubt UPND can rig these election, unless you are speaking from experience having been on the other side of the table for some time.
My position is that given the two candidates, Edgar and Hakainde, had I been in Zambia I would have certainly voted for HH given his record of traversing from rags to riches. He seems to have a good sense of where the money is and how to make it.
Honestly if EL wins then am questioning the metal capacity of zambians are they really in their right mind? Honestly pf again they need check up.

@51.2 Billion Stars, you are just a defensive PF cadre. @ T Woods has raised valid points! Truth be told, from independence to now, Zambia has not done well, largely because of poor leadership! If you, as an individual, are doing well because of your PF connections the majority of our citizens are not. Evidence is there, especially when you have a chance to visit any shanty township. If we have had capable leaders where have they been when poverty levels have been rising? It is the responsibility of those who seek public office to deliver on the matters T Woods has raised. If you are happy with these high poverty levels, there are many of us who are not!
7/10 = 70%. 70% from 10 provinces have rejected ” the best candidate” from the results announced so far. How could you rule the majority? I shudder what judgement the Zambians will pass on UPND after this election. Southern is the only province which gave a candidate 100%
