EDGAR LUNGU EXPECTED TO WIN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
LUSAKA – Patriotic Front (PF) President Edgar Chagwa Lungu is expected to win the hotly contested presidential by-election.
By Thursday 22nd November, 2015, Justice Irene Mambilima, Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) had declared 111, out of 150 seats with Lungu leading with 670,397 (48.87%) against his closest rival, United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema who has so far scored 641,343 (46.75%).
Below are the 39 seats remaining:
      1. Central Province – 5 seats -Chitambo, Muchinga, Serenje, Mukushi South Kapiri Mposhi and Keembe constituencies.
      2. Copperbelt- 1 seat – Mpongwe
      3. Eastern Province -7 – Chama South, Feira, Kapoche, Lumezi, Petauke Central, Msanzala…

    • My fellow Zambians I told you.God has his on way. What God has has allowed no human being can stop.I would like Zambians not to fear HH will unite Zambia, peace and loving one another regardless of tribe will be the order of the day.The so called small tribes have spoken and the answer is yes we can,but no revenge.

    • @SIDO MARK,

is that the latest update coming from Zed?

It is agonizing waiting for these results. Sleep has eluded us.

    • This will be tight,,,, PF is shaken to the core,,,, they thought it was going to a walk in the park,,,,, and if PF loses now,, the party will be worse than MMD,,,,
Edith Nawakwi good show!! i must say… 2016 you will be a serious factor!!!

    • PF campaign strategy has been violence and anti-Tonga bashing. They called UPND-HH “bitter”, “Bantustan” etc. PF imposed apartheid in South, West and NorthWest in varying degrees.

With violent deception they rode rough shod on Barotseland, Lambaland and NorthWest using Bemba as linqua franca for government contracts, jobs etc .

The PF stronghold apartheid anti-Tonga voting pattern was so shameful that they doled less than 1% to UPND in 2011.

Incensed with PF tribalism people revolted mainly in the affected areas and even some in PF strongholds rose up and gave a decent vote to HH-UPND.

Zambians are one and have refused to be divided by this useless tribalist PF.

If PF wins, they must unite the country and end apartheid.

    • I really don’t see why people wasted votes on MMD and other parties. They shoud have have used them on the obvious choice -HH. OK supposing lungu wins by a handful of votes he will only have 18 months in office!!!! It’s time for someone sensible to rule Zambia HH

    • pg… Stop spreading false information. TIZ has only announced 15 of the remaining 39 constituencies. Some areas were still voting as of last night! Your numbers are pulled from thin air. Wait for the final result.

    • To all UPND and Zambia united brothers and Sisters it is with sad news to inform you that we lost this by 2% margin just like Mazoka did.It has been a good fight come 2016 we shall make it.The fight continues.Aluta continua. The riging machinery was strong.

    • IF the current score is anything to go by then its stands at 1,311,690 so how can the national voters be 1.3m and then we have 21 to go it should be 9 to go if 111 have been counted from 120! Just thinking and no one has won or lost just that ECL still leads by 29,054 votes

    • Lol, you are not PF. The truth is that Fred Mmembe has tabulated the facts for you. It is virtually impossible for HH to catch up. Firstly, for HH to catch up you have to assume that PF are not getting any votes. It is over; See the following and judge;
      1. Central Province – 5 seats -Chitambo, Muchinga, Serenje, Mukushi South Kapiri Mposhi and Keembe constituencies.
      2. Copperbelt- 1 seat – Mpongwe
      3. Eastern Province -7 – Chama South, Feira, Kapoche, Lumezi, Petauke Central, Msanzala and Nyimba
      4. Lusaka – 1-Rufunsa
      5. Luapula-1- Chembe
      6. Northern Province-7- Chilubi, Chinsali, Kanchibiya, Isoka East (Mafinga), Malole, Lupososhi and Mfuwe
      7. Northwestern – 6 – Chavuma, Mufumbwe, Kabompo East, Kapbompo West, Solwezi East and Zambezi West
      8. Southern Province – 1-…

    • For any party that intends to participate in the 2016 Elections should be concerned and strive to ensure the matters raised now are ironed out NOW. Otherwise brace yourselves for the worst – a grand rigging exercises in 2016. This is just deonko (testing the waters, others will call it a pilot project) in readiness for the grand finale 2016. So be firm, in fact check all their constituencies you are likely to find 90% of the malpractices.

    • In most normal societies hard work is rewarded with success. In Zambia while one guy meticulously plans his campaign from day 1 till the last day of campaigns, does 4 to 5 campaign engagements in a day for 3 months non stop. Another guy wakes up and says I am anointed and does nothing tangible but expects better results than the former.

This trend you see even in our daily lives in Zambia where our poor mothers are at the market as early as 04:00 hrs every morning to get their orders only to be cheated out of their hard work first by cadres in markets and later by people in fancy suits wanting to buy the vegetables at next to nothing.

Hoping HH wins so that those who work hard and honest can start getting their fair reward.

    • Rigging has taken place and is still going on,but god will has already chosen HH.Our radar was high to stop Chungu from rigging electronically, after seing failure they are now using physical. The difference will reduce but,HH will still win.Its only God who has given as wisdom to tame PF.Its done bane.

  1. Lungu will win by 1500 votes.North Western has messed up PF. You can’t take 2Universities to Muchinga leaving out the province that’s giving you the money: 2016 will be difficult for PF.

    • @Pa Chifita

We told you that EL was clueless and had no strategy. A lot of PF supporters were un realistic when we told them EL looked lost, without a vision and hoping against hopelessness. We don’t need such leaders at all. Zambia needs a leader who can look at the future, set goals and objectives, set up plans and execute. That’s the difference between EL and HH.

    • The turnout in UPND strongholds is because they were motivated to vote this PFoolish govt out of power. They braved the rains to ensure that they get paid on time for their maize, fuel prices are reduced and they get free education. Wouldn’t that motivate you? PFoolish strongholds were told that Ifintu (which ones, pleeeasee?) ni Lungu! What would motivate you and what would make you apathetic???

    • He was consistent in his campaigns and covered the whole country more than thrice. He used to wake up at 04:00 hours and retire to bed after midnight daily. His hard work has earned him the Zambian 9th Presidency!

    • Its called mobilising the people and effective education of the people about their civic duties. Mind you statistically the Southern Province has more schools per capita and more educated people in Zambia. Its an irrefutable fact.

    • Chifita,

They have turned up in large numbers because you insulted them. Tribalism will never take you anywhere. We need a united country.

    • ‘ZAMBIANS’ ‘ALWAYS’ MISS the FUNDAMENTAL ISSUE.
That shows you who the Jokers are! Voting is no different from being called to fight for you country. I read one comment where someone was wondering why people in the northern/Eastern part of the country mock southerners over cows, while they are into digging Rats and the others collecting caterpillars. (This too tells you who are closer to how civilization took off). The people in so called P.F strongholds simply constitute the majority retrogressive breed that will hold back the nation for a long time to come.

  2. The reporting by ECZ is quite poor. They could give tabulated results showing which constituencies have been accepted for and the ones outstanding. In this day and age there is no excuse for such incompetency. We are showering praise on ECZ because we have such low expectations.

    • Considering most departments perform well below par in Zambia – our judiciary, executive, law enforcement, parliament, etc – ECZ are well above them all. It is fitting to give praise where it is due. In no way does it mean they can’t improve or do better.

    • Exactly, countries of populations of 62million have results ready by day break after polls close. Here we are in Zambia almost 3 days later we still are struggling to count and tally just over a million votes,

    • Stop this tribalism nonsense, I have been married to a Tonga lovely and intelligent woman for the past 20 years have 3 lovely kids with her. My late father is from Luapula and mother from Northern and what tribe are my children? We are sick and tired of this tribal game especially from my home boys, come to reality and let the best man win, its one Zambia one Nation just like One Africa One Nation.

    • Worry more – HH is winning and order and development is coming back to Zambia. If you thrive on chaos, like all PFools do, this is time to take cover.

    • What are you worried about? I am Bemba, my father is from Kasama and mother from Luwingu. I am married to a wonderful and very intelligent Tonga man. And mind you he speaks Bemba fluently and I can’t speak Tonga. Please let’s not focus on none issues like tribe and let’s support a leader that will change Zambia for the better. Let’s look beyond tribe!!!!

    • It is called ‘KARMA’ you call people ‘Tribalists’ who have never subjected you to any tribal segregation just to divide the nation:

ii) you do not pay farmers for the produce they supplied to your Govt and if they should dare ask you why, you send the police to beat up and and then lock them up(for good measure)…..triple tragedy for them

iii)Hell all those members of your party you kicked out unceremoniously, you said they were not factors.

iii) Maybe you shouldn’t have been so contemptuous towards the people and attended those debates

Well looks like the people have exacted their revenge the only way they could.

    • Why are you worried with the tonga guys. I am worried of the bemba clique as well. I am from the East but would rather have HH than Lungu. Lungu showed through out the campaign period that he is not his own man. There are powerful forces pulling the strings behind the scenes. Ask GBM.

    • Never say that about any tribe or people of Zambia ever again. I don’t know how to classify you, but I hope you are also a socialite Zambian being like the rest of us (73 big ones?).

Learn to make the best out of a bad situation: ask for nothing and receive everything (I hope you understand this)…

  3. Well these results are very close indeed. I’m not going to speculate as to who has the momentum going into Friday..but all i will say is that may the best man win.

  4. funny that it’s possible for one to win six regions out of ten but end up losing the presidence. In US they give consideration to states won and I believe that makes more sense.

    • @Awesu

No that’s not true. In the US one can win the fewest states, but win the electoral college. We don’t need that in Zambia.

    • In Zambia you don’t win regions. You win individual votes cast in your favour. If your winning regions are fully of apathetic people, you will not have enough votes to make it. HH has proven the triumph of brains over bullying chatter.

    • @awesu,taulu is correct, the electoral votes mostly one has to win the swing states like virginia, florida, ohio which have more electoral votes.

    • Don`t use U.S. electoral system if you don`t understand it much. In fact, there are only ten States in the U.S that determine the Presidency.

    • Its not about the number of states won, its the collegiate vote value associated with a state, in maths called a weighting. If you want to go down that path, bring that on so long as an acceptable formula is arrived at on how to allocate the collegiate values.
One can still win with fewer states so lone as one gets the high value states like California, Florida etc

  5. How does PF allow to be endorsed by someone who ruled the country for 3 years only, Kanshi even PF will just rule for 3 years

    • @jezreal, how can some1 allow a former jailbird to endorse him, then there is high possibility of having thieves in this party.

    • I am afraid nilolela…paka friday when the other results from the remaining places come out. Some people were still voting lelo. So if I were you i would go to bed and sleep like a baby.

  11. HH HAS WON THE PRESIDENCY!!

There is reliable information that the UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema has won the Presidency by 20 000.

It is just a matter of time before Edgar Lungu concedes defeat.

HH is the Sixth President of Zambia.

God Bless Zambia and God Bless Hakainde Hichilema.

  13. Brickforce wire, how can HH get it if the figures you are refering to show 23 in Lungu strong holds vs. 16 for HH? Mind you western Zambia is low population region.

  14. from a reliable source Guy Scot talked to HH were he assured him of victory,Edigar Lungu how do you pay back the money to boko Harram, boko harram wants his money otherwise he will kill you.

    • HH is winning this election. Any doubting thomas out there? Oops now the frogs gonna fly. Remember he is hitting 47 %. Yes you heard me 47% from 16% in 2011. He will hit da 50 plus 1! Fake analysts and even the past said it defies statistics to jump from 16 to 40 %. Well HH has just broken the record.

    • All the fake analysts are sooooo quiet now: ati no one can jump from 18% to win!!! ati Panga family, Paya Farmer, Pipo Fedup of Pama fi…

According to their findings, HH is the next President of Zambia after beating Edgar Lungu by a 20,000

Votes, and have on this day 24th January 2015 concluded that HH is the one leading by a comfortable margin.

HH IS THE PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA.

HH IS THE 6th REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA.

    • I would wish Nawakwi to be included in a govt by HH. She has chutzpah and is well spoken. She is a valuable player.

    • He can be yes! But looking at the way the figures have been trending for Lungu, he`ll be a very lucky guy to win.

  18. How will HH win
    1. he has remained with 16 constituencies in his strongholds Southern,N/western and Western
2 The one remaining in Lusaka Rufunsa is lenjeland even in 2011 he won it at presidential level check if you want
3 Out of 5 remaining in Central province he still has lenje constituencies eg Kembe
4 Mpongwe c/belt rural he will win it bcoz of bantu-botatwe effect
5 In those that Edigar will get HH will come second with a very small margin
    Game over guys.

  19. From my self as a reliable source! The difference will continue being slim but will not be covered up. This means the one who is currently leading will take the presidential seat!

    • you wish!!!

HH has won it – otherwise Luo and Kapata would not have gone to intimidate ECZ officials: that was an excellent indicator of where things will end up. Why threaten anyone if you are winning? PF PVT projections told them it’s gone to HH.

  20. Good that HH is catching up but i wish a new constitution was in place so we could go into 2nd round.

50+ 1 is needed for legitimacy and to break such tight races.

  21. Just imagine! I have found it very difficult to accept that HH is winning the election. I am a doubting Thomas tonight. Not until I hear the ECZ announcing him will I accept!

To heighten the political temperature, the UPND commissioned countrywide “celebration of the electoral victory” to create an atmosphere that the party had won when in fact not.

It is better for everyone to own a cow indeed and not owning a monkey or a rat. You can export beef from the cow and boost your GDP. You cannot export monkey or rat.

  26. What will happen to HH suppose he fails to win? Does the constitution of the UPND allow somebody to stand so many times despite his failures. Help me understand this, for there are some people saying that this is the last time for HH to stand owing to the constitution impediment.

  27. TO ALL PF SUPPORTERS AND VOTERS…..PLEASE LISTEN TO KATONDO BOYS VERY CAREFULLY,,,,,,,,,

THIS HASN’T BEEN A TIGHT RACE….THE MAJORITY OF ZAMBIANS HAVE VOTED FOR HON EDGAR LUNGU….AND FOR THOSE THAT VOTED FOR THE OPPOSITION….NO PROBLEM,,,PLEASE WE NEED YOUR VOTES NEXT TIME 2016.OUR FRIENDS FROM THE SOUTHERN PLEASE VOTE FOR A POLITICAL PARTY IN THE NEXT ELECTIONS AND NOT FOR AN INDIVIDUAL

  28. Looking at the remaining constituencies its obvious:
39 constituencies are remaining to be tallied in the Presidential election by the Electoral Commission of Zambia.

Central five constituencies remaining are Chitambo, Muchinga, Serenje, Mukushi South, Kapiri Mposhi and Keembe.

Copperbelt only Mpongwe constituency in Ndola rural is remaining.

Eastern, seven constituencies remaining are Chama South, Feira, Kapoche, Lumezi, Petauke Central, Msanzala and Nyimba

Lusaka only Rufunsa constituency is remaining.

Luapula Province also has only Chembe constituency remaining.

Northern, there are seven constituencies remaining, these are: Chilubi, Chinsali, Kanchibiya, Isok

  29. Isoka East (Mafinga), Malole, Lupososhi and Mfuwe

In North Western, six constituencies are remaining, these are: Chavuma, Mufumbwe, Kabompo East, Kapbompo West, Solwezi East and Zambezi West

Southern Province has only Katombola constituency remaining.

And Western Province has 10 constituencies remaining, these are: Kaoma Central, Luena, Lukulu East, Lukulu West, Mangango, Mulobezi, Nalolo, Senanga, Sikongo and Sinjembela.

    Judge for yourselves.

    • Looking at your report, its certain that HH will take the day because of the high turnout in his strongholds. Katombora alone can erase the whole of the remaining Luapula and Northern provinces put together leaving hh the rest as a top up. Its all over for Lungu. Its time to concede defeat in our democracy as set by previous presidents in the interest of peace and stability.

    • @Peter @Joe,

you guys are still awake. I slept but sleep has eluded me. Woke up at 04hrs Zambian time.

      This is really agony.

      Viva #peacefulnation.

  30. The reporting is biased. It makes much about HH closing the gap RATHER than highlight that Lungu is in the LEAD. the report should start with the winning party not the losing party.

As for closing the gap, from my estimates this gap is still 2% as it was before. Both figures have risen by the same amount therefore nothing has changed much except for the favouritism towards HH.

  31. How can one question the higher voter turn out in UPND stronghold?…the answer is simple..:
1.Changwa was busy dancing aba naba naba bana bakwa lungu eee…bonse aba mulemona bana bakwalunguee instead of telling them wat he was going to do….Pipo took him for a Bustele man or Banki bais of the mimbulu boys frm Chiunda Music lead our MOZEGETER
2.He and Guy Scott busy telling pipo that we are not changing government but merely replacing Sata (ukupyanika)…..So pipo know ukupyanika u don’t vote!!.
3.Where in this world have u ever seen a president of a political party (ruling party for that matter being elected by the lifting of Pangas,Knives,Legs and hands?
With this approach, honestly do u expect pipo to vote for u??

  32. EL 1 HH 0
Candidates in the elections are either sponsored by political parties or contest as independent candidates. The winning candidate in these elections is determined on the basis of a simple majority vote. This is referred to as the first-past-the post (FPTP) electoral system which Zambia has used since its independence in 1964.

All elections in Zambia open to monitoring and observation by local and international organisations respectively upon obtaining the necessary accreditation. The observers and monitors express their opinions on the conduct of each election through reports that they issue at the end of their missions.

    ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION

    i thank you

  33. EDGAR LUNGU EXPECTED TO WIN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
LUSAKA – Patriotic Front (PF) President Edgar Chagwa Lungu is expected to win the hotly contested presidential by-election.

    i thank you

    • @Katondo boys,

do you even sleep my friend? Me I managed ka 5 hrs sleep. Sleep has eluded me 3 days in a row.

At the end of the day it is “the majority amongst the minority voters” who have decided who shud lead Zambia.

      Try to get some sleep.

      Goodnite.

  34. @ pretty

Where are your UPND guys, most of them are gone from this site

HH has lost by 25 k,
I can give you all the constituencies which one do you want ?

    • @Grand, some people are sleeping. U think they will monitor the results 24/7.

No I don’t need the data. At least not now. It doesn’t make a difference anyhow.

      Just waiting for the official.

  35. @ Pretty
I haven’t slept in 2 months but I hope I will have a very good night sleep on Sunday..

But as for now every gadget around me is on 24/7….you know how it goes…ears and eyes of the society….

This election will go down as one of the most entertaining election in the history of Zambia. My Father voted for PF and my mother voted for HH……

    ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION

    I thank you

  36. This is a rebuke to PF by Zambians, even if they win, they have to deliver on promises otherwise 2016 they are gone. UPND is the really winner in this election. From 18% in last year to close call and perhaps winning it. Rupiah Banda destroyed MMD and history will judge him hasly. Zambia needs at least two to three good parties to compete with really chance each for democracy to work. 2016 Rainbow party is coming and will eat from PF supporters becuase that is where it breaking away from. PF will have to work hard and win the confidence of Zambians again. This issue of 90 days will deliver this and yet three years has passed and cannot deliver, Zamabians are not silly or stupidy.

    • My dear anyone who promises you that he will do this and that if vote for him tells a lie. Zambia is country that has degenerated too deep since the mid 80s. The solution lies with us e.g. stop stealing things like fertilizers, stop bribing civil servants in order to get favours, put it your part at your work place, work hard, do a bit of farming. Meet all these at personal level and Zambia will be a paradise. We start drinking in the morning and government said we start beer sales late we protested. Go to some Western countries serving of beer on Sunday is not allowed and everybody accepts. We are the solution, we are the government, we are the local council. Not HH , ECL etc

    • Ndaje Kahks

one of the best comments I have come across on LT….very articulate..splendid analysis….thanks for pointing that out….it’s definitely not EL or HH but it’s us as individuals….wise words indeed…..i hope most Zambians will read your comment….it’s does make sense…..

No more popcorn or campaign rhetoric….now let’s all get down to business and help build Zambia.

      I thank you

    • @Katondo boys

How do you build Zambia with PF nepotism?

How do you build Zambia with PF corruption?

How will Ndaje Kahks ideas take root if everything is centred on benefiting the PF kleptocracy in markets, govt contracts, bus stations, govt offices, parastatals?

How can the country soar with reward for mediocrity and incompetence?

How will the nation flourish when the youths are kept away from earning initial capital through employment as a result of employment freeze and increase of retirement age?

Katondo, do you have for once some honest answers…?

  37. I think it is now a known fact we PF are well and truely LEADING BY A WIDER MARGIN AND UPND HAVE NOW ALL BUT GIVEN UP…

WAITING FOR 11HRS NEWS UPDATE FROM ECZ to confirm the figures we have which show PF’s Edgar Lungu has won…

    BA ZAMBIA WE LOVE YOU

    NOMBA NI EL2016

    • 2020 vision

Yes just waiting for official results but PF is safe….details coming up very shortly…

      ONE who?

      I thank you

  38. Katondo boys you must be in denial, how do you end up with a broken family, mother voting for HH and father for PF, after all these headaches you gave me about PF, I thought you could bring your family on one accord. 83 of my relatives had no choice but to vote for HH, I had to pay transportation for them to go vote, after voting paid for a good meal chicken, meat, vegs and nshima. I believe Katondo boys spent lots of time blogging than encouraging his family to vote. It is politics Katondo boys, if we carry the day, our president is not a divider, all tribes will be represented, people with brains will be encouraged to bring ideas on the table. Believe me it won’t be one family like the Sata or Banda, KK.. God we thank you for the guidance that you have given to our dear citizens

    • Chikenda

I did a good job convincing my father to vote for PF but I guess my mother played a donchi kubeba on me.Its all good. Things happen.Filachitika.

Am enjoying the contest so far…beautiful competition on the ground and online.

2015 will be a great year for Zambia….regardless of whoever wins these elections.

      I thank you

  39. @ Pretty, Apana chekumirira we won yay!! Try in 2016 and hopefully you make changes especially at the top leadrship. Niba Eddie chabe zooona……sounds good neh? Niba HH chabe ummmmm doesn’t sound good to me. kikikiki

  40. One Zambia One Nation, I just love this country. I hope other African countries are leaning a thing or two from Zambian politics. In Zambia people expresses their views and dissatisfactions at polling booths and they surely do that.

  41. ****LATEST IN BUT YET TO BE CONFIRMED BY ECZ*****

149 Constituencies Tabulated, Lungu Wins Zambian Elections: 784,263 for EL and 764,724 for HH

With 149 constituencies Tabulated, Lungu has won the Zambian elections. EL: 784,263 and HH: 764, 724. The ECZ still has to announce officially the official winner.

TO BE CONFIRMED AT 11HRS BY ECZ

    BA ZAMBIA WE LOVE YOU

    NOMBA NI EL2016

  42. i agree with you @katondo n @2020 and thank God there are no insults better yet what really strikes me is the way in southern province! u see its unfortunate that many people cant see the problem where 5000 people can vote for opposition leaving 0 votes to the rulling party when in fact we have seen gvnt initiating developmental projects!

    • Abaakaabaa

We just need to reach out to our brothers in the South and preach unity and ONE ZAMBIA….UNITED WE STAND…

      I thank you

    • @Abaakaabaa..you know comrade this is the first time in the history of the world that someone with only 3 weeks to campaign for a Presidential office has indeed won it..EL is a born winner, yes it was a tough race we suffered a lot from voter apathy but we have learnt from these mistakes and I’m sure the boostele team of Katondo Boys as a subsidiary of Team EL next time round will take that into account…

What is needed is to unite the country…we beg UPND not to provoke us the winners, we beg them to accept the results which will be made known in only 2 to 3 hours…

The task ahead is not easy, we have a big mountain to climb but Team EL of young bright, non material minded individuals is ready to deliver to the Zambian people…

      BA ZAMBIA WE LOVE YOU

      NOMBA NI EL2016

    • @Abaakaabaa!

You lie…remove the log from your eye before seeing a spec in Southern Province.

Review how many polling stations gave zeros to UPND and compare with Southern Province. You are the type that lie and promote ant-tongaism calling these beautiful people Bantustan.

It is for this reason why the rest of Zambia has woken up to defend Southern Province by voting HH. Who knew that HH would be neck to neck with Edgar? This is a revolt against PF promoted segregation against an innocent tribal group.

    • Absolute nonsense! Why do you single out Southern Province when people can see how well UPND is doing in many other areas? The tribal finger has well and truly been exposed and is now pointing right back at the accusers.ONE ZAMBIA ONE LOVE

  43. We love you too Zambia. You have shown those who seek to divide us that we are one nation and one people.Let no one call UPND a regional party ever again. What will be will be, but clearly the so-called unprecedented development claims by the PF do not impress people that much. The tide has turned and it is flowing HH’s way just as it happened with Sata. There is no stopping him now, he is on the move.Oh, I feel like dancing to an old tune.

    • Me myself and I

Bika bola panshi….this heading is not current…

Updated data coming up very shortly

      I thank you

  44. Edgar lungu has won the 2015 elections. Beating HH as will be announced by ECZ

Protocol has changed its confirmed it was time to prepare by 11 hrs

    • No no……I have fought Bemba hegemony as I will fight Tonga tribalism.

It is a Zambian who will be in State House and not a Tonga. I am reliably informed that HH is in fact closer to the Ila/Lenje than he is Tonga?

So stop this Tonga nonsense. Zambians should NEVER ever agree to be dominated by another tribe through political scavengers. And if HH wins, I hope you Tongas will not also want to be greeted in the language which is not easy to pronounce (no offense intended).

      Stop this rubbish….

  45. Ok guys I have received some very interesting data and it’s now time for KATONDO BOYS to share it with all LT bloggers

EDGAR C LUNGU IS THE 6TH PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA.

WELL DONE HH AND MADAM NAWAKWI

    I thank you

  46. Sorry ladies and gentlemen, I over slept…I wanted to make sure that I finish the last count.

Like I promised yesterday, that the next time I shall post here is to either concede defeat or congratulate Vodka Lungu.

I know most people have followed my postings closely. Am very thankful.

Believe it or not the following is the final results status :-

I advise you to ignore them at your own danger!!!

    Patriotic Front (PF) : 633,300

United Party For National Development (UPND):699,800

I know you may question on the actual figures ending with 00. It was actuated from Eastern Province – Chipangeli Constitency specifically.

    HH HAS WON THESE ELECTIONS!!!!!!!!!

    • Ba PF are marrabishi……you thought you could divide Zambians on tribe when they are irrevocably inter-married. As my friend says, mwaloba……!!

    • chanda Chilengu

According to ECZ PF have 670,397 votes after 111 constituencies and yet your so called actual figures for PF are 633,300. Are you high or something?

    • @Chanda Chilengu,

PF is currently at 670,397 after counting 111 constituencies, how come, according to your final figure PF will end at 633,300? It doesn’t make sense.

  47. GO HH U are welcom in state house thats why i was saying let’s wait for ECZ to announce the results now KUNDA says lungu is the sixth president here now we are. GO HH GO AS A PRESIDENT

    • Jonas Kayumba

am trying to understand what you are saying but I don’t get it….the Kunda sentence boss???? and the last sentence. ..”GO HH GO AS A PRESIDENT ”

      am loving these elections

      I thank you

  48. Lungu was saying we can beat the whole UPND supporters because numbers are on their side with MMD support from Rupiah Banda. Mwamba was saying with RB, PF can even go to sleep. Is PF sleeping now and do they have the numbers to beat all UPND supporters. Let us wait and see. Reality is dawning on both parties.

  49. Katondo boys, why do you not answer Muloto’s comment 70.3? Could it be that you are a beneficiary of the kleptocracy in question?

  50. ECZ has the philosophy which entails managing pipo expectation. When they start announcing the results, the front runner (EL) needs to remain at the top at all times. Otherwise if a front runner is overtaken by (hh) in this case, this may create anarchy.

ECZ starting announcing result in PF stronghold was not a random decision. It was a calculated decision. HH knew this and that why he rushed to mulungushi to demand that ECZ stop announcing the results. He got he wish but knew that the worst is yet to come.

For this reason, I see EL still at the top once the last vote is counted

  51. We bembas we hav no problem of tribal look HH has scored quiet good in bemba speaking land but tongas haa they ar sh.it at this haa these idio.ts

  52. I have an invitation for the inauguration. Hakainde’s name is not there. There is a different name altogether. the results are known. ECZ and these real Zambian leaders are playing a game to prepare you to accept defeat. So that there should be no tempers.

  53. LT why this level of incompetence, surely to can now state which constituencies are still to be counted not let silly bloggers try to fool us. I know that if the 21 still voting most of those where in UPND strong holds and if that is correct that means of the 39 remaining 18 of these are the ones we need clarity as to which are in PF strongholds and which are a toss up. As things stand HH looks like winning. If PF at the end of this are leading by 2000 or less, I bet you a recount will be sort be that is classic example of possible rigging.

  54. This nonsense of thinking only about tribe should end. I am not Tonga but I am married to a beautiful Tonga lady. I am not Bemba but my brother is married to a wonderful Bemba lady. Two of my sisters are married to wonderful Easterners.

In every tribe they are wonderful and decent people as well as some crooks.

Politics should not divide us. Both EL and HH are Zambians. Whoever wins these elections will be President of Zambia and not a particular tribe or region.

  55. pf knows they have lost. in eastern they ecz results shows the same results for 4 seats how come this is for both the pf and upnd. mulpractice here.

  56. Finish, we have rescued the country from Tribalism and Free masonry.

Next time lets vote in numbers otherwise I don’t see these guys relenting.

Satanism/Free masonry and tribalism are in the DNA by nature

  57. @ tutu u ar correct I wonder how this gona be if these tribal party win, am scared the issue of barotse can apply really can divide the country northern-eastern an western-southern what a tribe.

  58. Ifisushu in southern province are a let down to our efforts to unite Zambia and civilisation at large. Mwe finish mwe. Next time watch out.

  59. A LOOK AT FIGURES COMPILED USING TIZ, THE POST AND ELIASMUNSHYA.ORG PVTS:

    PF = 791,167
    UPND = 761,732
    Margin = 29,435

    REMAINING = 01
    1. Liuwa (Western province)

How do you treat the following hypotheses:

    1. HH will not win (Null)
    2. HH will win (Alternative)

Though a few results are not yet verified, it would be worth concluding as follows:

ACCEPT THE NULL HYPOTHESIS AND REJECT THE ALTERNATIVE ONE…..

    Ding’ Dong’!!!!!!!!!

    • Liuwa has 33000 eligible voters and there was a 100% voter turn out there.

But although they turned out, not all voted because only 6000 were registered.

      only 6000 voted.

Of these 129 votes were rejected.

I might be wrong but this means EL is the new President of the Republic of Zambia

  60. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW LUUUUUUNGUUUU HAS WON.

  61. CRIMINALS ARE STILL BUSY COOKING THE FIGURES TO STILL GIVE LUNGU SOME LEAD SO THAT THEY BOUNCE BACK INTO POWER THRU THEIR HOOK AND CROOK STUPID APPROACH. WE SHALL REJECT THIS KAMA LUNGU WHO IS TRYING TO IMPOSE HIMSELF ON US. LUNGU AND HIS CROOKED PF HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO OFFER OUR GREAT NATION.THESE GUYS ARE JUST TEACHING MANY ZAMBIANS HOW TO THIEVES AND LOOTERS. ONLY HAAKAINDE CAN BRING SANITY BACK TO OUR COUNTRY. WE SHALL REJECT LUNGU IF HE IS DECLARED WINNER. WE SHALL FIGHT. WE ARE JUST WAITING FOR OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF THE WINNER. VIV HH VIVA!

    • Lol, look gentleman, you had PVT, you had international observers. PF have won this election. It is over. Edgar Lungu is YOUR president!

    • Your bitterness is understandable! Note that Inauguration of HE Edgar Chagwa Lungu is scheduled for tomorrow at heroes stadium! I have already gotten the invitation card for VIPs as usual!
      Please enjoy your mourning!

    • LOOK ZAMBIA WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES. THIS MAN FOLLOWS HH. STUDY HIS LANGUAGE AND HOW HE TREATS HIS FELLOWS IN OPPOSITION.

ALL TRIBAL NONSENSE. COME 2016, you must consider this type of wrong fruited persons. They will bring Tribal hatred to the fire.

WE MUST STOP THIS TYPE OF HATRED.

Look so your favourite party has not won. Buck up! Don’t be filled with hate and anger. T

His has been an impressive election for HH! A success that the rest of Zambia did NOT vote along Tribal lines like the South.

  62. Pipo who are saying HH has won please look at the remaining constituencies and add figures together. UPND should just accept defeat. We don’t want war in this country from desperate leaders .

  63. I don’t know why some of you bloggers are concentrating alot talking on tribe. This tribe is this and this tribe is that. I want you to know that God created “man” and every “man” belongs to a certain tribe according to God’s plan.

since God created “man” and put him in a certain tribe, no one has the right to ridicule any tribe bcoz by so doing you are putting the name of God in disrepute.

I thought I should enlighten somebody from the biblical point of view. They say ignorance is no defense. You might find yourself criticizing the creation of God and put yourself in trouble.

So let the best man win bcoz at the end of the day God makes the final decision

    • @110 lapkeni family

Those are the fruits of HH and his supporters. The bible tells you to gauge people using your spiritual eyes.

This Tribalism and Nasty behaviour to others is a quality of UPND and HH.

Look how the South ?Voted, but look how the rest of Zambia voted.

FACT, HH GOT HIS IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE IN ZAMBIA DID NOT USE TRIBALISM. There is no way that the South should have voted the way the did apart from the fact that they exhibited their Fruits of Tribal hatred. LUNGU is the right choice.

  64. Less than 1.5 million turnout of voters is really poor considering the size of the population. The results regardless of who wins will not represent the genuine choice of the people. The poor voters’ turnout could be a sign of people’s luck of faith in political parties or candidates and their integrity to run government affairs. Unfortunately, despite the low turnout, these elections will affect peoples’ everyday life. My message to whoever wins is that for a Presidential candidate, they must be the least popular President in Zambia’s history and therefore they will need to work extra hard to prove to the million Zambians that they deserve to be at plot one otherwise come elections in two years time, they will be booted out like Rupiah Banda.

    • In certain countries if voter turn out is less than 51% of registered voters, the elections are nullified until this thresh hold is achieved

    • In what country is an election nullified? Let us be factual. The election date is just postponed but in our case, this is a by-election, it is expected. Only a few countries in the world have by- elections after the Head of State dies. Let us be sober, Jonathan.

    • Just check on the internet and you will prove me right. You the problem we have in Zambia is that we have discarded Social Studies.

  65. Better luck HH. But it appears the curtains have closed. You ran a good race, unfortunately there can only be one winner.

  66. THIS MEDIA BLACK-OUT IS NOT GOOD. ALL THE BLOGGING SITES ARE IN THE DARK OR HAVE VERY OLD DATA. THE ECZ WEBSITE IS ALSO IN THE DARK. NOTHING NEW. THIE IS WHAT LEADS TO SPECULATION AND PEOPLE BELIEVING LIES ON THE INTERNET. PLEASE TELL US WHO OUR PRESIDENT IS. HH OR EL. WE WILL STILL MOVE ON AND DO OTHER THINGS IN LIFE. HOW CAN WE FAIL TO COUNT LESS THAN 2 MILLION PEOPLE IN 3 TO 4 DAYS. THIS IS NOT GOOD.

    • @ Chisenga I second you my brother. Counting should be taking 4 days honestly ummmmm awe sure something is not right. They should just tell us HH or EL not this BS!

  67. Edgar Lungu ni nshimbi. What a story to tell. He has triumphed against all odds
From out smarting the Famous Cartel who had immense influence on the party and government to out pacing a conglomerate of opposition parties that came together and rallied behind HH.
Among this group is the cartel whose strategy was to sabotage Lungu in order for them to benefit from the disintegration of PF after losing the election via their Rainbow Party which in true sense was to be a rebranding of PF. Through their emissaries like Sylvia Masebo they passed on very vital information to HH camp especially to do with the PF campaign strategy and also the lessons from the 2011 elections.
Against all this among other spinner, one Edgar C Lungu has prevailed.

    • DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE ANYTHING NOW APART FROM ECZ. EVEN IF THEY HAVE BECOME SO UNHELPFUL IN TIMES LIKE THESE. SO EVERYONE SHUT UP.

    • They believed when Mmembe told them Lungu was a drunkerd; Now the same Mmembe has told you he has won the elections; WHY DON’T YOU WANT TO BELIEVE?

    • Big Kas

Correct. As a Christian I look With my spiritual eyes to gauge my support.

I saw very clearly that Lungu has ALL the fruits of a good and earnest man with excellent people and organisational skills. The people who follow him showed good qualities in how they treated others

ON HH My spiritual eyes saw a cocky, arrogant Money man. That’s what he worships. The way he put himself across was to patronise everyone who did not support him. Sneering, and mocking.

Bloomberg announced he was going to reverse the new Copper Taxes and Royalties. I never heard him being overt on any of his campaign promises. HE IS UNDERHAND. That is why even PF cartel moved to him.

Those fruits were clear for all spiritually gifted people. They should have heard the voice to vote Lung

  68. The ECZ officials knows that HH have already won the Elections,so they should not use any Corruptions if they want God to Bless them.
