The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) have issued a statement saying that they verified votes from all the 150 constituencies, contrary to claims by United party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema that they only verified 32 constituencies.
In a statement released to the media and signed by ECZ Director Ms Priscilla Isaacs, the commission advised the UPND leader to petition the results in the Supreme Court of Zambia as provided by the law instead of continue to malign the commission.

I used to think Sata was bad at crying foul after losing and election but this is another level.
HH will do well to “feel” the mood and temperature in the nation before taking such a firm line. Everybody knows that he lost marginally and any accusations directed at the ECZ will only serve to allienate him from the public and he will see how much that 46% of the vote will dissappear in 2016.

These elections were rigged. The people involved are already revealing how their were doing it. This includes getting the votes for smaller parties who couldn’t afford agents at every polling station and adding those to PF; changing the PF numbers from say 200 to 2000 by adding another zero or changing from 200 to 1200 by simply adding a 1, etc. The only way to bring this matter to a close is to allow the opposition parties to do a 4 way reconciliation as follows:
1. Number of ballots cast at each polling station;
2. How those ballots translated to votes for each candidate;
3. How the votes for each candidate were recorded and then adopted by ECZ;
4. The results announced by ECZ.
This doesn’t required any political party to waste resources going to court which we know is also…

Well there is some truth of the rigging. ECZ has just admitted to various irregulrities of swapping the results meant for UPND giving them to PF.
ECZ verified only 32 such irregularities and refused to verify the others why?
On top of that had Lungu allowed ZAF to let UPND take its monitors to voting centres all these irregularities would not have been there in the first place. And HH would have conceded defeat having been satisfied that his monitored were not barred from monitoring his results in all the centres.
In the light of what ECZ has admitted, these elections were massively rigged. Only a f00lish and stupid person would think otherwise.

Be warned that, when ever an election is stolen in Zambia bad things tend to happen to the president. It does not matter how good the president elect who stole the elections turns out to be , a curse still follows them up to the grave in a short time.
In Zambia if the just ended election was stolen, those involved will continue to lead miserable lives no matter how hard they try to be normal. Things will start happening to them that will remind them of their evil actions even though they will be in denial.

I don’t know if I should use the word immature for HH’s behaviour but out of respect I will say that he is really, really bitter. I have great respect for him but this kind of behavior is really disappointing, so is the behavior of most of the UPND supporters on this forum. I expected to see a show of courage and concrete campaign strategies, that would have been so encouraging for us outsiders.

If he is clever he should clean up the judiciary , ECZ , Red brick, DEC , Army and ACC. Make sure that these institutions have a balanced tribal composition not the way it is right now, where the majority in all these organisations are from one tribal grouping.

I also blame the ECZ for not responding earlier. They should have addressed it and laid it to rest quickly. UPND needs to publish its findings and write a report titled. How the 2015 election was rigged. Then they needs to convince voters that getting up from our homes at the risk of being panga’d by PF and going to vote, risking our livelihood by campaigning for UPND in the markets and our homes only to have our votes stolen , will not happen again.
Otherwise UPND supporters will lose hope that nothing will change however we vote , voters distrusting the process is worse scenario than proving that PF rigged. We need to maintain the trust of voters and work towards avoiding a repeat and assure our voter base that we have this process sorted.

Read the letter again paying particular attention to where those irregularities were found. You will note that it states quite clearly that the irregularities “WHERE ON THE UPND’S” tabulations where (in their desperation to please their South Afrian financiers) twisted the higher votes for themselves just to be ahead and reflect their online polls.
I am sorry, there is no way anybody would accept that HH was cheated to loosing the election.
Go and sue ZNBC for posting wrong results. You never complained about winning Chingola when it was wrongly posted in UPND’s favour did you? If the vote was stolen, then UPND was there stealing too..

I voted for Edgar Lungu, so there was no rigging as claimed by under 5 politician. The biggest problem HH trusted the endorsement from people like Lameck Mangani, Fat Hubert GBM, fined politician Felix Mutati, Convict Katele Kalumba, Thief Maureen Mwanawasa, Spent grain Daniel Munkombwe, Drug dealer VJ Mwanga. One man Party Charles Milupi, and the likes of Mucheleka.
Of course the ECZ can verify stolen votes which were manipulated by ZAF. HH and his team were stopped from going to the polling stations in question by ZAF Why? HH and his team were not using any ZAF transport but their own, so why stop them? They were stopped so that the ZAF team could collude with polling agents and give wrong figures. If you read the Malawian Watchdog, you will know why HH will not petition the results in court because God is already working on the case! The same peophet who prophesied the ascendence of Edga Lungu to the throne has now predicted his down fall. GOD’S TIME IS THE BEST!

And without specific authorisation from ECZ to allow campaign helicopters to fly after the campaign period is over (Not election and voting), The authorities (ZAF in this case) will NOT give you a flying permit.

Katele Kalumba will also not be around in 2016 as he is likely to be jailed. The nearest for HH and the best chance was this year when PF was in turm oil but come 2016 it will be a different ball game. Watch the space.

The truth is he was defeated by a disorganised PF fraught with internal wrangles and only started campaigning late, and despite good turn out in his strong holds and low turn out in PF strongholds, he still lost.
He knows that PF will be a different animal in 2016, organised, their base energised and without internal wrangles and he wont have the head start in campaigns and he stands zero chance of defeating PF in a two horse race under the new constitution if he even makes it past the first round of voting.

It is indeed sad to note that people today are pelting hate speech on each other. Why on earth should you preoccupy yourselves with matters that do not contribute an ounce to your economic and social lives.

Mangani, Milupi, Mutati, Maureen are losers. In Eastern Province who is Mangani? Levy Ngoma delivered Sinda for HH in a short period, those are people to put in his campaign team and not Mangani or Canisius. In Northern maybe Mucheleka or Simbao are better than Mutati or GBM. In Central Province, he needs to scout another person because Chituwo, Shikapashya or Maureen will take him nowhere. In Western Province Sakwiba Sikota would have been a better bet but unfortunately he is in the PF camp. So he will have work there just like in North western. And ECZ explained this time and again, that ZNBC airing of the results was erroneous and , thus, ZNBC was stopped from airing ECZ election results are their (ZNBC) system was making errors when airing. This airing by ZNBC had no bearing on the individual figures and totals of ECZ, which were in fact correct.

I have looked at the clear and straight forward response from ECZ chaired by the able leadership of Justice Mambilima (I listened to the lady each time she explained issues -ah man, there is great integrity and value there!!) and the woman among women, madam Priscilla Isaacs (very balanced and intelligent).
It is clear that UPND’s schedule of results was rigged. If this was done intentionally by UPND, then they attempted to rig the elections. But thank God for the efforts made so far by our able electoral commission who have put up many transparency controls, open even to the public eye like mine, their attempt failed.
But if UPND simply made their mistakes in tabulation of results (and were not looking for a way of crying foul) then at this time I expect that the story would shift.
