Chipolopolo striker Ronald Kampamba says he is excited to join Egyptian side Wadi Degla.

Kampamba has joined Degla on a three-and-half year deal from Nkana for an undisclosed fee.

Sate Sate said his move to Egypt will give him an opportunity to break into Europe.

“I am happy and I now want to play in Europe,” he said.

Kampamba is this week scheduled to undergo medical tests before launching his career at Cairo-based Degla.

Degla is an Egyptian upstart who were founded in 2002 with focus on junior football development.

  1. What a bad decision. South Africa was better than Egypt. Love of money. The league in Egypt is no longer competitive.

    • @Ngalande, its because you are there thats why you think the grass is more greener in South Africa.
Its not about the league. Look at Kondwani, he just played 6 months in India, and you saw the confidence in him now, he no longer into Zesco formation.

  2. This is a very BAD move, what a decision. The kid must be desperate to show off that he’s not back home. Egypt as a all country is now in shambles. A friend of mine on Govt travel to Egypt when the late Freddie Mwila Jr was playing, he told me the guy didn’t seem to very happy, performance was not on the tables and just the nature of the environment.

  3. Let’s not be dream busters, the young man is trying to make the most of his opportunities at his disposal.why talk about South Africa which has not presented opportunities for him.in life, there are stepping stones and this could just be one for the young man.it’s just the political instability in Egypt, otherwise there football is no match for zed football.all the best sate sate.

  4. Firstly I would like to express my appreciation to Zamfoot for the great work they are doing. They are feeding us with good information which most Zambian news do not. However Zamfoot can be more exciting if they regularly interviewed players finding out how they are performing and their views why Chipolopolo was knock out like the way the late great Zambian boxer Lottie Mwale used to knock out his opponent.
    Keep it up Zamfoot
