Movement for Multi-party Democracy-MMD ,CHIPANGALI Member of Parliament,VINCENT MWALE, can breath again after a Supreme Court verdict upheld the LUSAKA High Court’s declaration that he was duly elected.
Acting Deputy Chief Justice MARVIN MWANAMWAMBWA ruled that the appeal by the petitioner – LUCAS PHIRI of the Patriotic Front-PF has flopped.
Justice MWANAMWAMBWA quashed six out of the seven grounds of appeal raised by the petition-LUCAS PHIRI of the Patriotic Front-PF.
This is in a Judgement delivered in Lusaka.
And Mr MWALE has declared that justice has prevailed following today’s Supreme Court’s verdict to uphold the LUSAKA High Court ruling that he was duly elected.
Mr MWALE says the status quo will enable him to focus on developmental programmes in CHIPANGALI Constituency.
The CHIPANGALI Parliamentary Electoral Petition was one of the more than 60 petitions filed in the High Courts after the September 20,2011 tripartite Elections.

Now that Sata is dead and that Chibesakunda is no longer CJ,
all these malicious petitions will be thrown out. Because they were baseless. The only basis they had was malice and hatred.
This was more like the removal of RB’s immunity by parliament when the matter was in court.
The Speaker must pay for this. This should earn the speaker a boot, because of listening to Summer Kambewa whose purpose of existence is hatred, evil, and ill will.
Hopefully now that Chibesakunda is no longerActing Chief Justice we might see sanity return to the Zambian which was heavily compromised by Sata and his relative Chibesakunda. Lawyers should fight for the rule of law so that it prevails.we are sick and tired of the lawlessness exhibited by the politicians!

Many zambians hate Winter Kabimba because of pf induced parliamentary by elections which costed the country huge sums of money.the wasted resources would have made a difference in our healthy sector which majority of our citizens are deprieved of.

Winter is perceived evil, both in North Western Rhodesia and North East Easternsia Rhodesia, so he will be comfortable in Central Stern Rhodesia where he will do extremely well with some section of media on his side!

Phew!!!! it is always great news when the opposition when a case duly in court. Zambia is on the right path. Amen to Jesus, Viva opposition of truth and Justice. Viva conventions for every political party. Viva Nawakwi.
Anyway, at this time it makes sense to deal with that backlog of cases. We are a short year and a bit before they need to all re-contest those seats.
Phiri need not worry, he can hope to be re-elected candidate and have a go again. He should just keep the PF home fires burning until 2016.
