Political Activist Dante Saunders has advised Republican President Edgar Lungu not to be surrounded by people who cannot advise him correctly.

Mr. Saunders says some people are in government to eat and do not care about others and that such people President Lungu should avoid working with them.

And Mr. Saunders has observed that the delay in President Edgar announcing his full cabinet is affecting the flow of development in the country.

He has reminded President Lungu that he has a short period of time to deliver on his promises and thus the need for him to announce a full cabinet as soon as possible.

Mr. Saunders has told QFM News in an interview that it is worrying that the Head of State up to now has no full cabinet to help him in delivering the much needed development.

He has since advised President Lungu to ensure that the people he has selected to be part of his cabinet will not let him down as it will cost the party in 2016.

  1. We entirely support this working holiday your Excellency. Clean up the mess both in Government hospitals, Government Agents and institutions that will make your Government deliver serious development now and beyond 2016 to the expectations of your people. Zambia is not just Lusaka and am sure you are more than informed that a lot of people did not support your effort when it mattered most and these should not pretend to be good to you toady simply because you are now in State House.

There are many young men and women who were with you through hard times whilst most big bwanas in higher offices had their legs in two camps and supporting your enemies.

This is time to reflect and put your devoted and loyal team to work.

    God bless you your Excellency.

    • Also sir, Lungu can’t come to state ouse becoz of the dead body which lie in state at slate house for Sata’s remains. In future, don’t take a dead body to statehouse. It’s a government place. Now they have claen statehouse gosts by medications Lungu has wait to until they finish.

    • True, EL should be smart and choose right people. these fat rats just want to eat at every Zambian expense, therefore they will not suggest anything just to keep their Jobs.

      Fire them Lungu..

    • WHAT EDUCATION LEVEL DID SAUNDERS RICH, ANYWAY? HE SEEMS TO APPEAR LIKE A COMPLETE THORN PARK CHARACTER. I AM JUST ASKING AND SOMETIMES IT’S GOOD TO KNOW THE ACADEMIC LEVEL OF SOMEONE BEFORE YOU OVERRATE THEM. I USED TO OVERRATE SAUNDERS BUT WHAT COMES OUT OF HIS MOUTH AND HIS DEEDS ARE ALWAYS RUBBISH. MAYBE THIS IS DUE TO HIS ACADEMIC LEVEL AND I WISH TO KNOW. HE IS NOT LIKE ZA YELLOW. ZA YELLOW IS VERY INTELLIGENT.

    • Am sure Saunders has got credible information that Lungu is surrounded by people who cannot advise him correctly the same way he had credible information about pre-marked ballot papers………..pwa ha ha ha

  2. Ati political activist Dante Saunders – he is not the right person to have that title. Everyone knows were he belongs.

  3. Chimbwi no plan reloaded…..what else do we expect? Lungu said he had no vision and he will continue Sata’s vision of keeping Zambians in suspense….Donchi kubeba style of leadership…marabishi Yeka yeka..failing to put his Cabinet together and rushing to hold costly meetings with other heartless foreign leaders…and Zambians will foot the bill

    • EL is in hot soup.He has to chose to be close to educated well meaning Zambians with no political stamina and strongholds or PF thurgs with political muscle in there strong holds.Lungu is a failed project. He will cry in 2016.

  4. Good advice to the wrong person. Saunders, please read the parable of the sower and its interpretation ( Luke 8: 4-15).

  5. No one should blame this so called President-for he’s for continuity of suspense governmental type of governance as he clearly put it that he had no vision, let him work using his own style of governance! You voted for him!

    • I as one of those that voted for EL am very happy with his style of leadership hence i will vote for him and ensure that he wins the general elections next year viva Lungu.

  6. And the award for being on the wrong side every election goes to sunnders…..clap for him. So Mr. Sunders wat are you saying again??????

  7. No one will ever be good enough for Zambia hey. Chiluba ati ntolele fye, Mwanawasa ati cabbage, Rupiah- nyama soya, tourist president, Sata-chumbu munshololwa, Lungu at pakabotolo, even the would-be Hakainde ati tribalist. What is wrong with us? Everyone has a good and bad side. Let E.L take this time to select competent people for the full cabinet. His works will follow him.

    • Lusaka times! You did not just censor the word ‘tr!balist’ now did you????? Thats not an insult. Daaaaaamnn! That’s just absurd!! Oh you tried it!

  8. Good advice. But it has to be borne in mind that much as Lungu may wish to change the complexion of his cabinet from Sata’s,he should not forget how and who helped to mobilise voters for him.Elections are near and time too short to make huge impact by changing key players in cabinet. Some of the appointees we are seeing can’t mobilise grass root support and are too late to positively impact on PF’s policy direction.By the way, where is Saunders speaking from;Zambia or some other country? He said he would leave the country if Lungu (PF) ) won the by – election! So he never meant it?!

  9. only a blind cow would heed to Prof.Saunders advice. I would rather hire a fly for advice than an ecz truck chaser.

  10. Why has Chikwanda been maintained to continue mismanaging the ministry of finance? All he knows is borrowing and giving government wrong advice on mines. Can someone please retire this tired old man.

    • My thoughts exactly! For the sake of this beloved country please retire Chikwanda. This borrowing will put us in trouble!

    • Lesson 4 GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE ON THE BUS

This was a bit of advice from Jack Welch who was one of the many moguls David corralled to comment for the series. In this case, Welch meant that you need to find the right people to work with. David says a perfect example of why this is important is the partnership between Andrew Cargnegie and Henry Frick. “Carnegie knew the kind of guy Frick was but he needed him to get an edge,” says David. “He brought him on and it was the rise and almost fall of his business.”

  11. Specify kaili. In which specific way has development been affected by the delay in forming a cabinet? What exactly has happened? Surrounded by which wrong people? True, some people are in it to eat, but these are general statements even a grade five, or a street kid for that matter, can make. Myself, I support the president of the day’s need to step back and prepare himself for the task at hand. So far we have seen that his holiday is not about lying in bed and watching animals in a leaisurely manner, honeymoon manner. He is working and consulting and representing. We believe that a cabinet which will come after such a deliberate process will have more to offer than a rushed one. So, we see the retreat as a non-issue.

  12. Be careful with your advice iwe Sondashi. You think King Lungu doesn’t know this? He’s wise. That’s why he’s surrounding himself with Bembas. They are his bodyguards and foot soldiers while he spends his time thinking like Socrates. You will all see the greatest development in Zambia’s 50 years of liberation

  13. @professional I know colourds because I’ve stayed with them! I remember one girl by the name of Esther Kamanga who changed her name to her mother’s maiden name of van etc upon entering a white dominated school! Yet again another one called Banda who changed to Gray

  14. Guys,
Please give the President a chance.
He cannot be worst than his predecessor…AT THAT IS A POSITIVE MARK FOR HIM.
He is putting Zambia on the international stage, after years in the doldrums.
He is redressing the gender imbalance. Boosting the morale and professionalism of women.
    The list is building up.
    I support him.
    Walk good man.
