President Edgar Lungu says there is need to effectively utilise the joint permanent commission and other cooperation frameworks between Zambia and Angola.

Speaking during a State Banquet held in his honour by Angolan President Jose Eduardo Do Santos in Luanda today, Mr Lungu said Zambia and Angola needed to share experiences, information and exchange views on various government interventions and policies that are designed to enhance the wellbeing of the two countries.

Mr Lungu said he is committed to the enhancement of the bilateral relations between Zambia and Angola for mutual benefit.

He said he is confident that the visit to Angola will be another manifestation of the warm and friendly relations that exist between the two sisterly republics.

Mr Lungu also expressed sincere appreciation to the Angolan president for the support rendered to Zambia during the funeral of late republican President Michael Sata as well as the Golden jubilee celebrations of independence last October.

He further said Zambia has over the years maintained close relations that are under- pined by the common ancestry, language, culture and shared values.

Mr Lungu noted that at regional level both countries are committed to the realisation of regional stability that would foster rapid economic development.

President arrived in Angola today on an official courtesy visit at the invitation of President Jose Edwardo Dos Santos.

    • Stop hero worshiping Lungu for nothing. The man is busy making billions for himself.
The Angola trip is Lungu’s personal business. I know PF cadres will disagree with me but it is what it is.

  2. Whisper to him that Zambia craves for crude oil from their oilfields. If they could assist us finance a refinery in NWP that would process Angolan grade that would guarantee them a closer and exclusive market unlike the European and Asian markets which have lately become highly competitive

  3. Lungu blowing hot air blah blah blah blah blah.
Kusabaila chabe and fooling the entire country. You are in Angola for your own personal deals Mr Lungu. Stop fooling us.
Where is Henry Banda Mr Lungu? We all know that Rupiah Banda is the one ruling Zambia. How much are you worth now Mr Lungu? You haven’t even received your first salary yet but am told you have become an overnight billionaire with your fake humility. Nothing has changed for ordinary Zambians. All the hospitals have run out of basic medication. The kwacha is falling every second….but what do you care anyway!!!
