There was no story book ending on Sunday for Nkana and Mighty Mufulira Wanderers in their opening week of the 2015 FAZ super Division.
Nkana and Mighty both lost to Red Arrows and Konkola Blades respectively in a Week One doubleheader played at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
In the lunchtime kick off, Blades spoilt Mighty’s ten-year return party when they beat the nine-time champions 1-0 thanks to a 6th minute goal from Dave Kalandanya.
It was the same tale in the late kickoff when Arrows beat Nkana by the same margin.
Striker Francis Kombe returned to haunted his former club when he hammered in the only goal in the 28th minute.
Nkana face Blades away next weekend in Chililabombwe while Wanderers visit fellow promoted side Nkwazi in Lusaka.
Mighty you are here to stay.Work hard boys, you have fans all over the world.
What a weekend, all are losing:
– Under 20
– Power Dynamos
– Nkana
– Mighty Wanderers
What is wrong with Zambia this year?
@Nostradamus
What is wrong with Zambia this year? Good question!
The bible says we reap what we sow. These results are what we have been sowing: NEGLECT OF OUR FOOTBALL YOUTH STRUCTURES AND YOUTH COACHES TRAINING
If I may ask how many our coaches handling our youth teams are certified by FIFA?
The problem with Zambian football is that we want microwave type of success but unfortunately it does not work out that way.
To coin it up ,this year will be Zambia’s worst in terms of football performance.
Am really disappointed ,don’t even want to talk about that bashing by South African Under 20!
Things will start happening at shinde stadium……ba mightey
