Rainford Kalaba inspired TP Mazembe to the last 16 of the 2015 CAF Champions League.
The Zambia captain put Mazembe ahead to help them beat Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 at home in Lubumbashi on Sunday.
Kalaba scored the opening goal in the 36th minute while Tanzania striker Mbwana Samatta made it 2-0 into the break.
Cote d’Ivoire striker Roger Assale completed Mazembe’s good day at the office in the 57th minute before Percy Tau scored Sundowns’ consolation in the 84th minute.
Kalaba played the full 90 minutes for Mazembe while Given Singuluma came on in the 59th minute.
Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene was on the bench for Sundowns.
Mazembe will play for a place Stade Malien in the group stage in the first leg on April 18.
Malien beat Mangasport of Gabon 2-1 on Saturday to advance 3-1 on aggregate
Congrats Kalaba, job well done!
Thank God that Mweene didn’t play or else they could have been blaming him for match fixing with Kalaba.
Why mweene was at bench.
I have said before, it is time for Zambia to send a goalkeeper to China or anywhere easier to get to get deals. Mweene has played enough.
What happened to that tall young boy playing in Italy?
Da coach knew dat there re sum strikers frm da same country so they cn easily score.
Age catching up, he has done very well in his career.
How many foreign players are in TP Mazembe?
Tp Mazembe is now called almighty African Union Fc in Lubumbashi !

TP Mazembe XI: Kidiaba, Frimpong, Kimwaki, Coulibaly, Kasusula, Diarra, Adjei, Asante, Assale, Samatta, Kalaba
Mweene has been on the bench recently even in local.
Mweene has been on the bench recently even in local. Sometimes even in terraces and it was expected that he won’t play
