Mighty Mufulira Wanderers moved back into the top five of the FAZ Super Division table after a 2-0 home win over fellow promoted side Lusaka Dynamos at Shinde Stadium in Mufulira.
Mighty move up from 7th to 5th on 14 points, six behind leaders Zesco United.
The Shinde side took the lead in the 11th minute when Moses Nyambe headed in Toanga Bwembya’s cross.
Wanderers final goal also came off a header in the 77th minute when Eric Chibuye nodded in a Brian Ambungeni’s service.
Dynamos drop to 11th from 8th after suffering their first loss in six games dating back to April 4.
In the day’s other big games, Zesco replaced Zanaco at the top of the table after a 1-0 away win over National Assembly at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
Striker Jackson Mwanza scored the winner in the 45th minute just 11 minutes after Zesco were reduced to ten men following the dismissal of midfielder Misheck Chaila.
At Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe, Power Dynamos shocked hosts Konkola Blades 1-0 courtesy of a 90th minute goal by Jimmy Ndhlovu who remains top of the charts on 5 goals.

Dear FAZ why don’t you televise anything from Shinde? It used to be known for its green grass for those who watched football in the 60s 60s 70s and 80s. But nowadays I see passing for football pitches, big brown patches from Nchanga, Konkola and Woodlands. Is that how the job of greens keeper has dissappeared FROM Zambian stadiums?
