Napsa Stars spoil Chiyangi’s Nkana honeymoon

Sports Napsa Stars spoil Chiyangi's Nkana honeymoon

Nkana suffered their first defeat under new coach Aggrey Chiyangi’s watch on Saturday away at ailing Napsa Stars.

Nkana’s defeat comes a week after Chiyangi made a dream start as coach when he lead the Kitwe giants to a 2-0 home win over Green Buffaloes.

The 12-time champions were stunned 1-0 away at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Brian Lubaba scored the games lone goal in the 17th minute to hand Nkana their fourth defeat of the season.

The win lifted Napsa from bottom of the table up three places to 14th.

Meanwhile, leaders Zanaco drew 1-1 at home with Nkwazi but extended their lead at the top of the table from seven to eight points.

Zanaco rallied from 1-0 to snatch a point after Steward Chikandiwa put Nkwazi in the lead in the 17th minute before Moses Phiri equalised in the 31st minute.

And promoted Mighty Mufulira Wanderers were held to a scoreless away draw in Mazabuka by Nakambala Leopards.
