RENOWNED politician Katele Kalumba says the Patriotic Front (PF)’s resounding victories in the three parliamentary by-elections in Malambo, Petauke Central and Mulobezi prove that Zambians countrywide have accepted the ruling party while the other political parties have remained tribal and regional.
Dr Kalumba said the PF has become a nationally accepted political party with an agenda for all Zambians irrespective of their tribe or background.
In an interview yesterday, Dr Kalumba said he was optimistic that the PF would win all the three seats because it cares for poor people unlike other known parties, which are just for the few rich and geographical entities with similar customs.
“I want to congratulate President Lungu and the PF Central Committee for choosing the right candidates for the people,” Dr Kalumba said.
He also said the campaign teams did their best to explain the PF policies to the grass roots.
“Zambians are great readers of politics. Let us give them credit. They know things have changed and the wind is blowing in favour of the PF,” he said.
Dr Kalumba urged MMD members who are still in doubt to join the PF.
“Zambians are determined to fight back forces of division, social perversion, insults, and absurd values and puffed-up egos,” he said.
Dr Kalumba said Zambians want a humble leader as demonstrated by President Lungu.
It has a semblance of democracy.
Further, PF may have escaped the tag of being a tribal party.
Exactly, people has turned into same philosophy of lazy but thieves like MMD where Katele was a master. RB has helped to drag PF to people like Katele Kalumba. Katele can say whatever he wants, it is all true. 60% of Zambians can be categorized as idiiots.
Zambians are lazy, but good at liking and spending money. The same characteristics of MMD of later-days, and now PF.
Why is it that people with all manner of criminal cases to answer and on bail suddenly find nice words to say about the party in power? Hoping for presidential pardon, should it be presumed?

MMD was a nationally accepted Party at one time. Then the whole nation rejected it in 2011.
PF started at Chilenje and in 2011 won elections in parts of the country with higher population density – leading to some tribe boasting that they had a bigger population proportion and would never lose elections. Some people from this tribe even started telling Tongas to produce more children if they ever wanted to have one of them become a President in Zambia. These statements undermine Zambia’s moto of One Zambia One Nation. Mulobezi was a war zone and the intimidation that if they did not elect a ruling party candidate they should forget development. That coming from the President to very poor and mostly illiterate voters would definitely make them vote for the ruling party.
One can say anything to avoid jail. At the rate he is going, Katele can even agree to share his wife with EL in order to be free from jail. Help this man reserve some dignity.

Zambians believe that everything comes from God. They also believe that God gives at his own time. Now, as long as the government is busy building roads, hospitals, clinics, schools, universities and stadiums and these development is reaching the rural areas, then Zambians are blessed by almighty God. Zambia is a Christian nation just as it was a humanistic nation under KK. of Unip. You should recall that Zambia’s wealth was shared almost equally by its neighbours during the liberation times, and this delayed its development. It is now that Zambians should receive God given development. I like it more now that more women are in leadership. Just watch Zambia overtaking some other nations.

Katele, here’s the thing, when a whole republican president scares illiterate voters by assuring them that if they did not vote for his candidate he would ensure there was no development taken there while also pushing the tribal chant of wako ni wako and on top of that voter apathy because of voting fatigue and shooting your opponents, of course they will win. Do not project this win to be the whole mindset of the Zambian people. Guy Scott said it better when he advised PF not to get too excited about these victories. He also knows that PF right now is hated across the country and these victories were a product of blackmail and intimidation.
It is interesting to hear how people talk ill of their once beloved colleagues and friends. Is it because they never expected them to say good things to the people on the other side? Is it true that whatever they say about them they never saw when they were dining together? Should our anger also make us insult Zambians as voters? Well, was just thinking.
