The Anti Corruption Commission has confirmed that former President Michael Sata’s press aide was yesterday questioned on allegations bordering on corruption.
ACC Acting Public Relations Manager Dorothy Mwanza confirmed that an inquiry against Mr Chellah has been set up bordering on corruption.
Ms Mwanza told a quarterly news briefing in Lusaka that Mr Chellah was questioned yesterday and that investigations into the matter will continue.
She said she could not divulge further details for fear of jeopardising investigations.
Meanwhile, Mr Chellah has threatened to sue Radio Phoenix for yesterday reporting that he was questioned by ACC investigators.
Sources confirmed that Mr Chellah phoned and threatened a Radio Phoenix Reporter with legal action for covering the story.
And Ms Mwanza has revealed that the ACC is reviewing the acquittal of former President Rupiah Banda involving a Government to Government Oil deal.
She said the Commission will study the matter to see whether to appeal the acquittal.

The PF and their late leader shared all the land at State Lodge which Kenneth Kaunda had reserved for the expansion of housing for Special Duties Police.
The land was never advertised for all Zambians to compete. Sata dubiously allocated this land to himself and to PF Leaders only, possibly including George Chellah. It was then serviced with tarred roads, water and electricity. The allocations should be reversed and the land should be sold on the open market for Chongwe Council to raise finances for Council operations.
So as the ACC investigates George Chellah they should also investigate if he did in fact obtain serviced land at State Lodge and how much he paid for that prime land which was already allocated to the Police Service.
No need to study the case just appeal. The case is a prima facie one. The 2.5 million USD WAS POCKETED BY Rb’S FAMILY SO WHERE IS THE PROBLEM. Ms. Mwanza, regarding politically induced “prospect” of re-reinstating ex-president immunity, can you please also investigate Varun Beverages (Zambia) Limited case in obtaining illegal incentives.
After all, Commission of inquiry did find that it was illegal act and all related documents are attached to that Final Report together with witnesses statements.
ACC needs capacity building. It should start nipping most of these corrupt acts when they start to rear their ugly heads AND not when the filthy corruption wound is festering, it stinks…!
