Former Tourism and Arts Minister Sylvia Masebo has pleaded not guilty to two counts of abuse of authority of office.
Ms Masebo, 52, who was arrested by the Anti Corruption Commission on 23rd July,2015 took plea before Lusaka Magistrate Irene Washimanga this morning.She is in the first count accused of cancelling the tender for the hunting concession when she served as Tourism Minister without following procedure.
Ms Masebo is in the second count accused of terminating the contracts of senior Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) officers without following procedure.
Magistrate Washimanga has since set 15th September as the date for the commencement of the trial.
Meanwhile the Lusaka High Court has dismissed the case in which aspiring Kabwata Member of Parliament Clement Tembo and others had sued the Lusaka City Council and Hua Feng Construction Limited over the redevelopment of the Looters tennis and basketball courts in Libala.
When the matter came up this morning before High Court Deputy Registrar Kelvin Limbani, lawyers Barnaby and Chitundu Advocates representing Hua Feng applied for the case to be dismissed for irregularity, the application to which Mr Tembo did not object.
Mr Tembo submitted that due to the costs involved they have not been able to get lawyers to represent them in the matter.Mr Limbani dismissed the matter accordingly since the plaintiffs did not object to the application.
HH is the guilt one here. He accepts all questionable characters in his ranks. He has shown as that when he gets into power his govt will equally be bloated. How can a party have two vices while it is still in opposition. Masebo is innocent, so is GBM but HH is guilty
So does Lungu. How about the Dorahs, the Rupiahs etc. etc

KK made Patrick Mvunga professor. The youthful Lungu can make as many lawyers as he pleases State Counsels. He will need this click of lawyers soon when he will be answerable for the ‘atrocities’ he is committing while in office. Otherwise the man will be very lonely.

A party can have as many vice presidents as they want if that helps in the mobilization of that party, after all they are not payed from public coffers (that’s if they get paid at all).
As for central govt, other side, its our job to advocate for a leaner cabinet because its us who pay them.

Its not right for the President to go to Bangweulu to tell those people its him who has money to build their roads. Building roads, schools, clinics, sheds is something that should be done at local level according to local needs.

There is no case to answer here. She got fired by her boss then, so case closed.

Slyvia was married to Dick Masebo a drug dealer and divorced they have one child an imbicile that Wynter who was/is her side kick sent into foreign service first as Deputy Ambassador then as Counselor after protests…she has not been well for sometime now maybe because wynter welcomed her to his topping club…..
