Zambia will host Gabon in an international friendly next month.

The match against the 2017 Africa Cup hosts will be played on September 8 at Heroes National Stadium in Lusaka.

FAZ spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe said kickoff of the match will be at 18h00 and will be played just two days after Zambia’s 2017 Africa Cup Group E qualifier against Kenya in Nairobi.

“Zambia has secured an international friendly match with Gabon on Tuesday, September 8, two days after playing the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya,” Nkweto said.

  1. It always pay to have the right people heading the association, Gabon is a strong team and its another quality friendly. Kudos to the Footballs Association of Zambia. We will be there to support our lads

  2. T least amakula yakolaleko amolu. This oaky. The Black Panthers are o the ascendance whilst the Tupolopolo are on the decline.

  3. I think Zed needs more international exposure. We saw that in netball. But how come Zed netball ears failed to play a lot of friendly matches against neighbouring Malawi who are very good? Something wrong with our coaches and administrators.

    • What did you see in Zed netball? Those useless girls were invited to South Africa and Botswana,so were Malawi and Uganda. They had a whole year to prepare for the tournament. This just underscores the length we go to prepare for international tournaments.Zambian sportswomen and women must be taught that just attending a tournament and getting allowances is not the main thing.Go to there and gain experience.
As for our netball,I have no kind words to describe them. They are a let down completely.Utterly Useless They have brought shame to the sporting fraternity in Zambia.

  4. SUGGEST ANOTHER NAME FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM,THAT CHIPOLOPOLO NAME WHERE DID IT COME FROM?NEVER WAS THERE A CONSESUS AMONGST ZAMBIANS FOR SUCH A DEVILISH NAME.
