Christian Coalition asks govt to allow churches worship at schools

General News Christian Coalition asks govt to allow churches worship at schools

The Christian Coalition has appealed to the Government to rescind its decision to ban churches from using school classrooms as places of worship.

Coalition President Dr. Charles Mwape says for churches that are just starting, it is difficult for them to acquire land to build church structures thus government should allow them to congregate in classrooms until such a time that they have grown.

He notes that Zambia being a Christian nation should encourage as many churches as possible so that people can have access to a church anywhere.

He points out that the country many bars and clubs, hence the need to encourage as many churches as possible by allowing them to worship from classrooms.

Dr. Mwape says government can sit with the churches and look at ways of security and maintenance of the classrooms the churches are using.

  1. I’m just afraid the demons left behind after the worship will interfere with the learning process when the students return to the classroom.
Sorry. could not resist that grave-side humor

  2. SCHOOLS MUST BE PLACES FOR ACADEMIC EDUCATION AND NOT FOR PLACES OF WORSHIP AND MONEY COLLECTION BY CHURCHES. CHILDREN SHOULD BE ABLE TO GO TO SCHOOL AND DO SOME EXTRA STUDIES AT ANY GIVEN APPROPRIATE TIMES AND NOT BE DISTURBED BY THE NOISE COMING FROM WORSHIPERS AND NOT EVEN BE ENTICED TO JOIN IN IN WORSHIPING AND LEAVE STUDYING. DON’T GET ME WRONG- I AM A PRACTICING CHRISTIAN AND THAT’S WHY I AM AGAINST CHURCHES TAKING UP SPACE AND TIME FOR CHILDREN ACADEMIC PREPS.

  3. As a Christian, I say government made the correct decision of banning churches from destroying school property. It is called wear and tear. Also how many churches are in Zambia? Let the bigger churches help the little ones build. That is the truth.

  4. There are already enough churches with buildings and they all preach the same message, please join one of them until you are able to build your own. To ensure order, there is need for clear demarcations among social infrastructure in any society. Schools are for teaching, churches are for preaching, company property for business, jails for imprisonment and barracks are for soldiers. Its as simple as that Doc.

  5. I totaly disagree with this. Churches should be built and not use classrooms for worship. the problem in zambia is that churches now are business

  6. Comment: It alredy seems this coalition holds no future in this country and should be rejected, there is no way people can worship from classrooms….whoever proposed this should let people worship from his home…..#what kind of a leader are u aspiring to be……[email protected] should meet in the most high’s house and not a classroom, these are people bringing about FALSE CHRISTIANITY

  7. This is what happens when you too many churches and not enough rented halls on the market…its big business this religion business no wonder our people are becoming poorer and poorer even in their brains.

  8. Comment:ONLY A SATANIST CAN BE AGAINST THE CHURCHES WORSHIPING IN SCHOOLS. THE PARTY IN GOVT MUST BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TEMPER WITH SCHOOLS WORSHIPING IN CLASSROOMS. COZ THEY CAN EASILY LOSE THE 2016 GENERAL ELECTIONS. MIND YOU EACH PASTOR HAS AN INFLUENCE ON HIS MEMBERS, WHO ARE ALSO THE ELECTORATES. AM A PF SYMPATHISER BUT ON DIS ONE, AM AGAINST THE ISSUE OF BANNING CHURCHES IN SCHOOL. LEAVE THE CHURCHES ALONE.

  9. BRAIN POWER,
You build your own churches. It’s as simple as that. you can not reap from where you did not sow. Read the Bible and you will learn more than what you intend to preach. There are reasons for the ban of worshiping in school buildings that lead to the ban. You can go ahead and vote against the present ruling party, but I can asure you that you shall not win the battle of worshiping in school buildings. All you have is an empty threat.
Just buy a plot and start building your churches. PF can not lose elections just because you are not being allowed to worship in schools. What type of church are you ????

  10. …let the churches build or rent appropriate places suitable for worshiping….or anywhere else but definitely not in schools…..the faulty is with the registrar of society…how do you register a church group without proper fixed abode….and mama mia the churches have really mushroomed like tuntemba in high density townships…..pastors ending up sleeping with every lady congregant….

  11. No worshiping in schools as they are meant for pupils. The desks are built for small kids and not for adults. Too much vandalism as demons are cast out because of their violent behaviour. Kindly build your own synagogues as respectable places of worship.

  12. THE BLACK WOMAN
Thanx for yo comment, i hav heard yo wise point. We shall build & stil vote PABWATOO………. I jst wanted to draw yo attention. Once again, thanx BLACK MAMA.
