President Edgar Lungu has arrived in New York for the 70th UN General Assembly.The President arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Thursday around 17 hours Zambian time.He was received at New York place Hotel by Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba.
Others to welcome the President were Gender Minister Nkandu Luo, her Works and Supply Counterpart Yamfwa Mukanga, PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri and Information Permanent Secretary Godfrey Malama.
Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Mwaba Kasese Bota and Ambassador to the U.S. Palan Mulonda were also there.
While in the US President Lungu will give his maiden address to the UN General Assembly on Saturday.The President will also take part in the General Debates.
What about kaizer zulu, he was not there kikikiki? i hope you make your maiden speech and point out the evils that the British and Americans have done to Zimbabwe and Libya. Expose as the terrorists they are and also implore other members to give a vote of no confidence in the security council unless it includes an african member country as a permanent member.
I was also there. That was the saddest & coolest presidential reception/welcome I have ever seen. Don’t understand me wrong, it is not only Lungu who has no “value”, but the POPE is in town….. Even me I didn’t want to go and check on Edgar, I was forced to drive someone there.
Anyway, your PF president arrived just fine, he didn’t dance today, sorry.

Go visit some gas stations and see how cheap gas is. Please plan to visit some of the manufacturing plants, auto as well as energy plants. You might learn one or two things to help you plan on how to alleviate the load shedding and ways to create jobs. DON’T GET DRUNK, ask you former worker at the Zambian embassy in the USA who got drunk and was arrested. There’s law and order in the USA. That is the best thing LUNGU can do best. He leaves his economy yawning and goes to collect Dollar cover to increase his personal savings. The man is just something else.
