UPND president Hakainde Hichilema says he is not a sadist to celebrate the crisis the country is going through as he is also feeling the pain because his businesses have been affected by the economic challenges the nation is experiencing.

Mr. Hichilema said it was therefore unethical for the Patriotic Front government to unleash cadres to suggest that he was celebrating the challenges the nation was experiencing.

He said it was painful to see how the economy of the country was collapsing with little being shown as commitment to address the problems the nation was facing by those in leadership.

But PF secretary general Davies Chama has charged that Mr Hichilema was too desperate to go to State House and was using every opportunity to undermine Government, even where circumstances did not demand.

He said it was one thing to render advise to the Government and another to perpetuate negativity through inteprete language that suggested that those in power and their policy advisers were incompetent and ill informed.

The PF, he said, had a formidable team that would ensure a return to power with a landslide next year.

“Don’t hate me for speaking out on the ills of government, Zambia is bigger than the Patriotic Front and Zambia is bigger than HH, bigger than anyone of us politicians,” Mr. Hichilema in an interview.

He said it was unreasonable for the PF leadership to despise him whenever he raised issues when taken into account they could be of value to the governance of the nation.

“How do you help a government which is not ready to listen? Today the leadership will say this when they don’t mean it and if you criticize them they unleash cadres on you to insult you and say all sorts of things about you and accuse you of many things,” he said.

Mr. Hichilema said Zambians have reached a level where they were looking for leaders who had plans and solutions to the challenges the nation, especially at the time when the world was facing serious economic difficulties.

He said it was high time the leadership in the PF realised that things in the country were not alright and there was need for reorganization in the manner they governed the country.

    • You may not like it but its in the public domain that you are a sddist

You thrive on other people’s pain and you have done this all your life

    • It seems the schizophrenic Chama has run out of his medications. baba, just fix the economy. Trying to look for scapegoats will not work. We eagerly await for economic emancipation after 18th October. That is the day your visionless president has called for national prayers.

    • The one who is making people suffer due to poor planning skills and extravagance in spending through chartering planes is the sadist. How else can it be explained for one to find it fit, to charter a flight in the mildest of the level of suffering the common man is coming through on our streets…

  1. “Don’t hate me for speaking out on the ills of government, Zambia is bigger than the Patriotic Front and Zambia is bigger than HH, bigger than anyone of us politicians,” Mr. Hichilema in an interview.

  2. *****s,I know that for HH is just a nobody! Just lik we in upnd feel abt pf,coz u guys knows better to eat our tax payer monies that s the reason u say stupid things abt HH,let’s wait and see 2016 is by the corner.

  3. HH is always at the helm of things that are wrong. To start with he is the one that valued the mines and enriched himself. Today he is happy that the economy of Zambia is not performing very well and he is forgetting that he has also contributed to our problems the nation is facing

    • Walitumpa iwe ka Chanda and you are so dull. Can’t you understand that it was Chiluba and Sata who sold the mines? Tribalist Chanda can’t see sense in what is right because you are shallow minded.

    • @Chanda. Yaba, please don’t show your ignorance. Was HH the one who took the decision to privatize the mines? At only 26 years old? I thought Chiluba, Sata, Chikwanda were the ones in govt? Let us not look for scapegoats!

  4. Well, I am very surprised HH has confessed to his businesses being hit by the economic fluctuations. I may write negatively of him, but that is possibly because I expect him to be better than the gov’t in overcoming economic problems (from his own presentations and attacks on PF); because he tells us time and again that he has solutions under his belt!

How amazing it is that he now tells us he has nothing in his kitbag to have helped him plan and direct his empire to circumvent the fluctuations!

    • As for Sadist, I thought Stone Masons, self flagellate (nipple tassels an’ all), for self discipline!! My my my….have to change all my opinions!

  5. Under pf the environment to conduct business in unenabling. Zambians should pray harder to ensure pf smooth exit in 2016.

  6. What the people are crying for is K 20 for mealie meal, K4 to US$ 1, petro K 2 per litre, a house in Kabulonga at K500 per month, bread K 1.50, c/oil K 2 per bottle. Short of this print more money because no one is working!

  7. Although Chama does not agree that those in power and their policy advisers are incompetent and ill informed, every Zambian can see that Pf is really incompetent. The arguments forwarded by Kambwili against HH on Radio Phoenix last friday showed that the PF Govt Spokesperson knows very little, is ill informed and lacks quality analytical skills on what is happening to the zambian economy and other sectors. How else can we explain the deterioration in the kwacha, high prices by over 50% for most commodities etc apart from incompetence of the PF Govt.

  8. chanda once again coming from the toilet without cleaning his ass. how many times are we going to listern to this rubbish of mines privatisation which hh did not do or the sale of the mines. what the problem is today is the weak economy which is ran by pf cadres and has which failed . with these stupid things going on in the media nothing will happen. the only thing left is to vote these *****s out of power with a wide margin. like the solwezi west formular full stop. you can go on and on and on. its said dont aurgue with a fool people may not see the difference

  9. Sata & the PF came into power by constantly attacking RB & MDD. Now people like Chama want Zambians to start keeping quiet in the midst of all these sufferings. HH is the voice of the voiceless, just MC was when PF was in opposition. Shut up & start offering solutions. The 2016 Landslide u r predicting is only in your dreams. Use the Solwezi By Election as a barometer. Travel around the townships & look at how people are suffering.

  10. HH has missed the point and the truth of the matter is that what Zambia is not an island and what ever is affecting her its a world problem. The drying of rivers and dams is a climate problem that has affected the all Southern Africa. The negative effects of the mines is for the whole world. Deuto- The Lord your God will make you abound in all the of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers. ………..If you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. God has a great future for Zambia, as we stay in his word and stand on His promises.

  11. @Bushman Kuzu, you surely do not understand the economics of the country and world at large. The mines are the drivers of the economy, now the price of metals and commodity has gone down this has affected every thing. 80 percent of the things we use in our daily life are from the mines, Zambia has no control at London Metal Exchange neither at Shanghai Market. It is easy to point a finger but workable solutions are harder.

  12. Bwana SG, as opposed to just making statements from your air conditioned office in lusaka, I challenge you to tour copperbelt and assess the mood of the people towards your party. Truth be told your confidence is misplaced and is actually bordering on mockery of our intelligence. If at all you can’t make the tour you may consult Kambwili to give you an honest assessment (just look at how he is panicking). I think having such a dozy SG is proving to be an advantage to the opposition.

  13. Pio,

Either u r highly misinformed, u don’t read financial news or follow international news. The Kwacha has been labelled as the worst performing currency in the world this year. The Kwacha was just above K4 to a Dollar when the PF took over it is now around K12. Do ur maths & that translates to about over 200% in 4 years. Show us another currency which is even lost closer to this. Just this year the Kwacha has lost about 90% & the Rand about 20%, yet PF politicians lie to people like u & believe them. The Rand was about K.55 to early this year & now it is almost 1 t0 1. Prices of things have not drastically gone up because most items on the shelves is old stock. Come December or so u will cry very soon. Namibia which mainly desert has no load shedding & there has no be load Shedding…

  14. HH you are still considered to be a sadist because just remember the way you celebrated when the late President was suffering and you tormented him with all sought of lies in your sponsored Zambian Watchdog online till the day he died and it reported that morning that it was 100% sure that the President had died. Even in Parliament you tormented the then vice President Guy Scott thru’ your UPND MPs to get an appointment to state house so that you could confirm if the President was alive or not. So HH, its not too late to change, repent and things will start going your way otherwise you really have a battle if you are to win next year because you failed to score a penalty when there was no keeper between the posts…

    • What i know and its true is that sadists are in Pf. They take after their fallen and buried hero one michael kalufya sata who was a renowned SADIST. Even the satan knew him for that.

  15. Only a fool will support this government. They have lamentably failed and they deserve an exit. There is actually doing nothing apart from masturbating their ignorance in public. The Zambian economy is the worst hit in the world? The question is why is it like that? PF is gone whether you like it or not? How can a bag of fertiliser rise from K195 to K400+? You must be an ***** for you to suppor goog for nothing govt. SATA was a much better leader than this visionless JEMASON man.

    • @chisee, a sadist is one who steals from u and doesn’t give a damn about. Pf qualifies. HH is one of the nicest man alive. He even feeds u so that your worms dont rebel against u. WANZA WEYI.

  16. @Bottoms Up and Gen, you are the ones who are sadists with your President and Chama. You are happy that people are losing jobs enmass. You are happy food prices are going up and people cannot afford to buy them. You are happy that the country has a desperate debt situation. you are the ones who are sadists. HH is concerned for the people and the country. He is a patriot unlike your Lungu who longing is to sneak out from his office to go and drink.

  17. I m surprised at lunatics like chanda who say HH sold the mines. The decision to privatise was for the chiluba govt which included your fallen and buried hero sata. The govt delegated that function to Zambia privatisation Agency headed by one Valentine Chitalu who now lives in Uk. HH had no authority to sell or privatise any company.

  18. betters ,
No it is because Chanda finished hh after the battle between hh & Kambwili…. You are not betters but worsers

  19. HH has just admitted that he has no solutions to his bad performing companies. He has been bragging that he is an economic manager.
Glencore has just announced that it will sell all its interests in the mines and focus on other assets. Can Kachema tell us how he will tackle this one.
Oh gush. Abena Zambia know that the problems are not of Lungu’s making but externally driven.
But hh desperation is just back firing. Look Mmembe is history. Very soon it will be you.
