THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday summoned Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Kalusha Bwalya and two other officials.
Others summoned were FAZ general secretary George Kasengele and executive committee member Pivoty Simwanza.
According to FAZ sources, the trio was summoned in connection with former association treasurer Kelvin Mutafu’s allegation that a few individuals at Football House were involved in illegal sale of replica jerseys and match tickets.
When contacted, Mr Bwalya’s phone went unanswered, while Mr Kasengele referred queries to FAZ communications manager Nkweto Tembwe.
“We did not call ourselves to ACC. Get in touch with ACC because they are the ones that summoned us,” Mr Tembwe said.
ACC public relations manager Timothy Moono could not be reached for a comment.
And when contacted, the commission’s director for community education Lawrence Hansingo requested for a written query.
What about all those fake jerseys being sold on the streets of Lusaka and comesa markets? WTF?
The difference is that people use their own to make the purchases and also aware that they are buying fake jerseys from comesa. Faz was allocated money to buy real jerseys and pocketed the change? Kalusa is not prudent with money? He lost his house in woodlands over a $20,000 debt he got from a young zambian business man? Kalusa was the one that was supposed to be lending out petty cash ? He also got money from the Saudi’s …..kalusa is always in need of money? I work with addicts…..and these are the tell tell signs as addicts are always in need of money?

Kalusa has a football brain and lacks brains for management neither does he understand the precepts of leadership/integrity/moral responsiblity . let him stick to playing football and leave the desk for white collar professionals that understand management and leadership. Sorry, problem is that I always forget that integrity has no place in Zambian leadership/management. Our mentality is always to plunder/loot/destroy…and Kalusa is Zambian?
Even white collar pros do steal in zambia. Even some of his predecessors who are non footballers have stolen before. The difference between now and then is that Kalu has brought money into the game and you are jealous period! The ticketing system is the same as the time when mulonga was FAZ chief and it will be the same even when the HOLY ones come in. Even you FTJ people say you stole from so leave kalu alone.

It is time that this man called Kalusha was called to account for his sins and the mess that he has created at FAZ. Kalusha should learn from his “Godfather” Sepp J. Blatter who thought he was untouchable and indispendable at FIFA. Right now Blatter is facing investigations left, right and centre with some issues dating back over 10 years ago.
Kalu watches football with the president. You are troubling yourselves. things have already been discussed. No case to answer, next case please! (Let them go and buy fake ones as well. Ndalama za FIFA niza NYOKO?)

Surely how can you honestly question people after two months when the evidence has already been shredded and tracks erased, who is ACC’s legal advisers ….an Association Treasurer whistle blows and you are inviting the Great Galu for tea, biscuits and autographs. This is why people do not whistle blow in Zambia and corruption is rampant..to add salt to injury the head of state is now cosy with the corrupt Galu every time there is a friendly international match. What chance have you got of getting a job anywhere if you whistle blow? The evidence is there to see just look at the quality of those jerseys our boys are wearing compared to the high quality initial Nike jerseys. ACC should be utterly be ashamed of themselves and the Parliamentary committee for Sports should summon the ACC…
nothing will be done, this ka call up only came about because of public questioning the accountability in PF.
PF is corrupt, embraces corruption and no one is accountable….not a squeak from the school boy minister Mwale who gets victimised by Kalu and Kambwili.
FAZ is a shambols, with the way Zambians love football, this should be a money making machine for the public.
All those fake jerseys you see in markets and on streets belong to a cartel in FAZ that includes Kalusha, that is why trade standards dept have not pounced.
